Exceptional and Relevant Mathematics. After reviewing most of this e-text, I can definitely say unconditionally that this, by far, the most well designed trigonometry book on the market; $4.99 is a steal. Each concept, formula, or property is explained with interactive forms or proved with detailed video proofs. Another very powerful component to this book is the "why is this important" section. Giving specific example of where and how the math is used makes it meaningful. Great job guys...I am anxiously awaiting your calculus ebook.

effective text for middle schooler. I was intrigued by this book and the low price encouraged me to try it out. I already know trig, so I gave it to my middle school aged child for some late summer amusement before school starts. He took algebra at school last year, and was at a good point in his math education to start on this text. We both like the mix of written text, interactive features and animated lectures, and all of the parts I have looked at are accurate, rigorous and presented in a clear and logical way. He has now completed the first 8 chapters, and has gained a good conceptual grasp of the topics covered. The exercises are good, although there are fewer than in a traditional text. We felt this was a good feature, as it allowed him to learn a lot in a short period of time. Nonetheless, we would welcome a companion "workbook" for building fluency. Now that he is nearing the end of the book, he is eager for the publication of the next School Yourself volume, Calculus.

This book is incredibly helpful. From the actual hands on examples after a paragraph, to the videos explaining things in more detail, etc. this book is completely amazing. Even the introduction video itself taught me a lot. Great book!

No answer key?. I love it so far, but I can't figure out where the answer key is for the review exercises. I've been struggling with a problem and can't seem to get the answer right.... Just show me the answer already!

Builds intuitive understanding of math. By letting users explore and play with the math, this book patches up the fragile spots in their mathematical understanding and knowledge.

exercises need explanations. This book is very well done in most every respect, but a major oversight was not to include answers and explanations to the end of chapter exercises. Please add this in an update!

Great, but the review exercises are confusing. This book is great and considering I am extremely math stupid, I can follow the lessons for the most part. I think I've understood and everything is nice and great until I get to the review problems at the end of each section. The problems usually don't seem to have anything to do with what was taught or use complex concepts not reviewed/refreshed in the lessons so it's an extremely rare occassion that I can answer all the problems correctly. Either I'm right and the problems do need to be made more strictly only with the content taught in the section, or i'm even stupider with math than I thought. Although I'm certain it has to do with the review content. Either what is in the review needs to be refreshed in the lesson or the review problems need to be strictly what was taught and ONLY what was taught. Being unable to do half of the problems that are apparently reviewing the lesson is a bit of a confidence destroyer and makes it hard for me to want to move on to the next lesson.

Wave of the future!. This is the way Math should be taught. To the point, with video and illustrations. Very interactive. Looking forward to the next book.

Tons of content!. This book is big because of all of the videos and interactives. It took a while to download but it's worth it! It shows up in the Iibrary when you buy it but iBooks doesn't let you open it until it finishes downloading. The hands on demos are really cool and no other book has stuff like this.

:-(. SInce I have no apple products and only ITUNES on my PC I won't be able to use these books. I hope there is a PC version soon.............. Or apple allows us to view books downloaded on ITUNES on their PC.
