OUTSTANDING novel. Read this years ago, it was sooooooo good! I highly recommend :))))

Reconstructing Amelia. Excellent read!

Well [Re]Constructed. An excellent and assured debut effort. I was searching for a novel that would start off my summer reading season well and this one reeled me in quickly and definitely. Without revealing too much, it cleverly borrows a Gone Girl conceit, and while some threads may remain frayed, the ending is an apt one albeit unexpectedly muted. The characters are interesting enough, if not necessarily without some rote stylings, but the format and surprises are what drive the novel and the latter are original and plentiful.

it's okay/bad. The beginning and middle of the book was alright; it wasn't a "page-turner" for me, but I enjoyed it. I thought the conclusion of the book, however, was bad; the way the author tied all the loose ends together was disappointing, and at some points, too soapy or far-fetched. I would recommend reading Gone, Baby, Gone by Dennis Lehane or a Gillian Flynn novel instead.

Clever.. I enjoyed this novel a lot. I loved how it wasn't like every other novel. I felt deeply connected to the characters and loved it's format. Nicely done.

Loved the book. Amazing story! I couldn't put the book down. I loved the mystery and suspense.

Good book!. Not your usual whodunit type novel, throws into the light the tools these kids have available to them now and that's saddening but true.

Incredible. An incredible book. Must read. It's so beautifully written and a beautiful tale told through the eyes of a16 year old. So many twist and turns the best ending ever

Not my favorite. First I will say that this book held my attention and kept me wanting to find out what happened. It was not what I would consider suspenseful - just interesting...ish. I found quite a bit of the story unrealistic and then the whole plot was so disjointed. Rather than having several issues coming together for one conclusion, each separate issue had itā€™s own random ā€œtwistā€/conclusion. It didnā€™t come together and I kept thinking ā€œthere is no way all of this would happen to one personā€. I only paid $2 for this one but I wouldā€™ve been disappointed if Iā€™d spent more.

Good read !. Definite page turner ! Well written with great characters and an ending I didn't see coming!

Good read!. I was nervous to read this based on some of the reviews saying it was poorly written and far fetched. But it's a book after all and I figured it should be far fetched! I couldn't put it down! I thought the story was believable and relatable... Would recommend to others!

Great read!. I love books that jump between present and past, really making you pay attention. After finding out critical info, you are able to go back in time and see how it fits with the story. I loved the twists towards the end, but wished the author written more of what became of Zadie and her mom, and Dylan. And Jeremy. Great book, I'd read it again!

Good book. It was a good book. A thriller. Not the best book I have ever read but worth reading for sure.

Good Plot but lacking. The plot of the book was good in that I couldn't put it down, but that was it. There was so many holes and questions left unanswered. It made a lot of the characters seem very immature and unrealistic.

Not worth reading. Not worth reading. Save your money.

10/10. i dont have the time, patience, or the attention span to read a long book, but this book most definitely kept me reading. i finished in less than a week and it was beautifully written. i will be rereading this book for sure

Page turner!!!. Love love loved this book. Couldnt put it down!

A real page turner!. I loved this book!! So realistic, and true. Girls in high school, can sometimes be so mean. It was that way in the 60's, and still is!!

Page turner!. With such thought-provoking character development, i couldn't put this book down! Every chapter greets you with yet another plot twist that keeps you guessing what the next page will reveal.

Beautifully written. Great suspense, characters so real I identified with both the teenager and the single mom. Loved it.

Disjointed. This book was bad! Too many characters and way too unrealistic. Not worth the read.

Reconstructing Amelia. A definite page turner. Shows how one lie can destroy so many lives, the consequences so misplaced priorities, nd how sometimes loving someone isn't enough to keep them safe

You should definitely read this!. Very well written. It was hard to put down. I highly recommend it.

Reconstructing Amelia. Sadly, a high school club of bad girls gains power over a good, smart, eager to fit in classmate. The events that unfold are heart-wrenching to watch as the club forces her to become like them. In her desperate attempt to be loved, our good girl loses on so many levels. The book is well-crafted but the story is hard to accept. As a mom of pre-teens, I'm glad to have read it and will be a more conscious watcher and listener as a result.

Ordinary, not a page-turner. Decent story, but not one that I couldn't put down. It lacked suspense. I read out of curiosity not because it was a gripping mystery. Just ok.

Reconstructing Amelia. Wonderful - relevant - real ! Great to read a novel that is what is actually happenings in this Crazy world are children deal with every day - yes very very sad - but lets acknowledged the enlightenment this book brings us -a MUST read - an amazing journey I so enjoyed - thank YOU Kimberly

Likeable Characters/A Perfect Autumn in NYC Thriller. My first go around, I couldnā€™t get past page 10. After a few days and a second go, once I got past the motherā€™s (Kate) narrative and was able to following the time shifting circle structure, reading this was like a plane that had taken off and journey until it landed two days later. Thatā€™s to say, the final 355 pages was a race to finishing it before the weekend ended. Set mostly in Brooklyn near Prospect Park in the Autumn, when NYC is its prettiest, I enjoyed every facet of this mystery thriller which wound up being more than that: a story about loving bonds between mother/daughter, best friends, colleagues, and even long lost loves. The characters were all unique and I could, hear them and visualize them as clearly as if they were talking in front of me. There are many moments where I found myself uncontrollably laughing aloud and even moments where I got teary-eyed. This was an easy read with a sort God overlooking the story in the form of periodic Virginia Woolf quotes after each full structure revolution, the perfect backdrop was set as I found myself reading this while sipping a pumpkin spiced latte. The perfect autumn story. Thanks Kimberly McCreighton for your unique story telling ability. You inspired me with lots of pretty thoughts Iā€™ve never come across such as the ā€œbeacon always waiting for you to take you homeā€ and a loving mother being ā€œa curator of her daughterā€™s memoriesā€(the latter definitely a tear jerker). 100 out of 100! Thanks for a taking my mind off my couch and placing me in NYC in the Autumn.

amazing!!. I'm not usually one to read, but I loved this book!! I couldn't ever put it down, there's so many good twist and turns which makes it very interesting to read. it's also very relatable to teenagers now because bullying in a huge part of teenagers lives in schools.
