Lover of mine. Good book need the next one didn't like how it all ended with Layla, assail, sola, and trez and his brother..... And luchas . Definitely will want the next book to fill me in on the in between details.

Finally!!!. First can I just say how annoyed I am with the stupid negative comments and christianity blah blah blah. If you are so wannabe more holy then God then what are you doing reading such a sexual book???? Now let's get to the important thing, JR did this book very tasteful and I'm glad. I didn't think I would be able to handle the romantic scenes but she reeled me in I was sure as hell ready for it all. JR's brain is incredible. How does she come up with these stories? I read the first 10 books in 6 weeks and I wanted more, craved more. I can't wait to hear what goes on with the other vampire males that were written about in this book. One in particular got my attention big time. I won't mention any names but he's very sexy. Can't wait until next year. I am obsessed!

Best so far. The only reason not to like is because your bigotry views got in the way. Set aside that for the duration of the book an you'll be in LOVE!! J.R Ward never a disappointment

Loved it!. I really thought I would be grossed out with Quinn and Blay's relationship, but Ward did an excellent job and I can't wait for the next book. Hurry up!n

Blay and Qhuinn, finally.. This was quite an adventure. It takes literally until the final pages of this book for Blay and Qhuinn to finally fess up and get together. It’s worth the wait, though. The trip to getting there isn’t bad either. So many little details about so many different characters; this is one of the longer books, but every page keeps you going toward that brilliant ending.

New BDB addict. Just finished the whole series and now about to go back and read it again and bookmark my favorite parts. Loved this book! I'm not gay, but I loved seeing these two get together! Also loved that you didn't hold back on the sex just because it was two guys. Love love love them! My personal fave is Wrath so I'm so chomping at the bit for the next one! Girl, you can't write it fast enough! Now I know how my friends feel waiting for me to release my next chapters to them as I write. You are an inspiration and I love this series! Would love to see more on Lassiter. I so love a smartass! Great book, great series, great author! Bravo!

Any one that had some negative about this book and writing styles doesn't really know/understand J R Ward very well! Simply the Best! If you haven't read this book you're missing on awesome book!!!! Worst book in the series. So disappointing & a waste of money! The author keeps on adding more & more subplots that are extremely boring & take so much away from the central story line. Also, it feels like she purposefully makes things complicated when they don't need to be. I find myself skipping through whole sections just to get to the good parts & they're just not as good as the earlier books, where the characters were funny and endearing and the subplots seemed relevant.

The best!. I loved this book! Now how long till the next one?

Lover At Last. While I've been hooked on the series from the start, I was very hesitant about the "love story" between Quinn and Blay. I'm sorry, but being a devout Christian who believes homosexuality to be an abomination ( and I don't care if the loud little PC minority disagrees with me ) because you are destroying the moral fiber of our nation), I did purchase the iBook and completely skipped over the overly descriptive sex acts between the two males, finding that the amount of pages devoted to their sexual acts outnumbered, by far, those of the heterosexual couples in past volumes!! When it was V and Butch, it was never consummated and one-sided largely. Then they both ended bonding with females. Yay for the masculinity of these "macho" males. I don't find homosexuality erotic, masculine or exciting in ANY WAY! I'm completely heterosexual. I found the length of the scenes to be both unnecessary and overdone to the readers of this series who I believe read it more for the overall storyline of the Brotherhood characters than for their SEX LIVES! In this, I have to say it was as BAD as I expected. And also poor judgement on the part of the author i expected better of! Women who read "romance novels are not looking (usually) for explicit GAY sex and you misjudged your audience here!! Also, you over complicated it with far too many characters, loop holes like why couldn't Throe or just about anyone else who had drank from Layla find her except Xcor. Too busy, too messy, not complete enough. I'm losing my interest in the way the story lines have gone now after this book and feel it will likely be my last purchase. The BDB is losing its edge as a sexy male club for female readers and just becoming an overdone, lets please all sexual genres appetites mess.

I wrote her an email..... One day I was staring at the ceiling thinking about the black dagger brotherhood books and a thought came to me! J. R Ward should do a book about Quinn and Blay. So I wrote her an email begging her to make this happen....to find out she already is. I was so excited for this book...who cares if it involves homosexuality... This book meet my expectations and it's one of my favorites. Still no book will ever beat Lover Awakened with Z and Bella.

Lover at last. Yeah disappointed at end! Love reading about the brothers but this ending was.... I don't know rushed. Looking forward to the next book!

Can't wait for the next one. I wasn't sure how I would feel about all the guy on guy action but I'm glad this book was extra long so that skimming thru all the guy on guy sex scenes didn't make me feel like I got ripped of from a good story. I was left hanging on the whole Asail & Sol story but I'm sure the next book will be great I just hate waiting.

A little disappointed (warning: spoiler). When I found out the author finally was going to write Q & B's story I was so excited (Aside from Rhage, Butch & V's stories, this was the one I most looked forward to...something about forbidden & unrequited love that had me yearning for a happily ever after). It had been years since I read this series and I wanted to get reacquainted with the characters again so I reread all the books again, in like a WEEK! No small feat. I felt jipped. Not only was too much time spent on new characters, which we don't even get much resolution for those stories...just a set up for another book, but the all that rejection & pushing away by Blay and him just being "over it" was irritating. I had imagined an entirely different chain of events. I liked Saxton's character but having Blay so changed by another lover kind of takes away from the dynamic of what draws you into their story. I did however like that we got to see Qhuinn open up emotionally. I guess what I had hoped for was in previous books Qhuinn was like this sex god, so when I thought of Blay finally getting what he wanted I imagined Blay as the shy virgin type and Qhuinn as the strong possessive teacher type. But in this story it's almost the opposite. I would have liked it to end with an actual mating ceremony, not just a dance. Although, I do look forward to Trez & Selena and Assail & Sola's stories. And I'm really intrigued with Xcor & Layla...will they find their own happily ever after, cus it's hard to imagine, with him being the "enemy".

Love these books!. This book didn't appeal to me as much as the others in the series because it was mainly focused on a gay relationship. I am by no means homophobic, and since I have read the entire series I'm very happy that this couple got together. Being as I am a heterosexual though, it just didn't appeal to me as much. That being said.... It was a fantastic story, as always. Can't wait for the next book!! Keep them coming!!!!

I don't know about this one. I've started reading it and already want to put it down... I love BDB, have read all the books but... been reading since last night and I haven't been wowed 😖. I thought I was going to be wowed.. Feel like I've waited so long. I feel like Ward wrote this one for someone who hasn't read all the previous books. It's very "wordy" and at times giving info already received in the other books. Maybe if I put the book down and pick it up 2 months later I'll LOVE IT. I might be just a little sore because I paid so much? Ahhhhh... I can't wait to read other reviews. *okay, I finished... I have officially removed J.R. Ward from my automatic download list.*

-_- flat face. I love the BDB series but this book fell a little flat. It seemed to have a lot of words as filler rather than purpose and left me looking for a better conclusion. As always, I look forward to the next story in the series. I am also a little disappointed by the price increase. There were 3 books I wanted to download, each being the same $14.99. I decided on Ward's book because I just knew I would not be disappointed with the purchase. :-(

Love this book. First off now let me say this was a great book. I have been waiting on this story and she delivered in a nice tasteful way. The ending felt rushed it was a great book. Can't wait for the next book:))

I hesitated to read this.... But you can't read an entire series, more then once I might add, and shy away from characters who you love just because it's gay. I kept avoiding the book, not sure I could handle this one. But my OCD got the best of me. I can't skip one in a series, the world might end. Besides, these are all my boys. Ward did the subject and the characters justice. In the end we can't help who we love, it just simply is. As soon as I started reading I was glad I did. Well done.

Let Down After Long Wait. As a long time fan of the series, who has eagerly waited for Quinn and Blay's story, I finished it in disbelief and disappointed. The attention to their relationship is constantly interrupted by new characters as a bridge to future story arcs. After getting glimpses of how their story would play out in earlier books, I was expecting more substance and not the rushed HEA that came in last 10-20 pages in the book. Even more strange was how Quinn did a total personality reversal to become like Prince Charming in the last few pages of the book. The whole "down on one knee, may I have this dance scene" seemed awkward and far fetched.

Lover at last. Loved this book so much! The story of a homosexual relationship is so beautifully written in the story and I loved it as much as the other romance stories of the BDB. I can't wait for the next book! I have to know what happens between assail and sol! Plus the story of Trez and Selena. There was plenty of heterosexual relationships in this book for all those bible thumpers who like to read hardcore paranormal romance novels (can't be a big pool of people because isn't all sex not for procreation purposes a sin to those types of people!? Total crap is what I say!) should be satisfied and if they aren't just know that these novels probably aren't for you because they are expressions of love no matter the race, religion, or sex of the individuals. Love you so much J.R Ward! You are an inspiration!

Disappointment. I love the Brothers and I look forward to the books, but this one was not up to par. It seemed forced. Reaching for a story line. She took the characters out of character. Broke Black dagger rules..... I am over the new love stories of added characters... Please start telling us what is going on with the "real" brothers that we fell in love with but never get to hear about anymore. This was truly boring. And stop adding everyone to the brotherhood.

I am addicted to all these books!. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I am always left wanting more.

Just a little different. But let's be honest. The topic could not have been that easy to put on paper. And I was hooked by the guys emotions. And I also admit I got a little confused with all the players, but obviously it's in preparation for the next novel. If you are a fan of this genre, Ward is still the best and the Brotherhood series is also the best. So settle down out there.

Absurd Cost!. $14.99 for an iBook copy?! I came on here last week to buy this book because I was so excited she came out with another one. It was $12.99 for the digital copy. I was so mad, considering all of her other books are $7.99. Today I came back on here, once I decided I would pay the expensive $12.99 cost and the price jumped up $2.00! Completely ridiculous! I'm not paying that amount of money for something that won't be sitting on my bookcase. No thanks! Ugh! Frustrated!

Great read!. It makes me sad to see reviews downing this book over homosexuality. The lead up went over 10 books and with a description stating the fact that Blay and Quinn push through their boundaries... and people were still surprised??!! COME ON. I got the first book of the series on a whim and was instantly hooked. I’ve laughed hysterically, I’ve cried. Overall, it’s a great series. I wouldn’t ding this simply because males fall in love. I don’t think that’s fair. It took 10 books of warning to get to this point. Y’all should’ve known it was coming. All in all... Sexy, gripping, and down right good.

What is wrong with JR "Fans?" This book is fantastic!. This book which title is so incredibly apropos was so wonderfully written. She brings two characters deeply loved by fans for years together in such a loving (yet challenging as there relationship is) and tasteful way, that even fans not use to homosexual relationships can still relate clearly to simply what is a beautiful love story. First, if you are true fans you have read all of JR's books and if so you already know her writing style. She has ALWAYS intermingled other character's stories between the chapters of the main character to foreshadow the characters of the next books. How else would all of you "fans" that are berating her for doing the same thing in this book know Quinn and Blay so well that you could not wait for their story? And as far as characters from the past she still mentions them and brings in bits with their personalities. If I took the time I could point out mention of every character in some way. But her stories are not just about the individual characters but this amazing world of this other species that she has created and making it come to life. I mean think of how brilliant she is, she has created a world within our current world as humans on earth that could totally be plausible. She has woven in culture, history, language, tradition and has even begun bringing in new species to the fold of the BDBH series. This kind of writing likens to the great minds of authors like Tolkien who envelop you in their worlds till you believe you can reach out and touch them they are so real. I could easily see her world coming to life in film/TV some day. I personally love the way she structures her books. She gets me excited about books to come on new characters introduced or developing old characters that were behind the scenes in previous books. All the while dangling the carrot that she left in the previous chapter with the juice behind the main characters keeping me turning the pages to find out what happens next. Disappointing no, exciting yes. These are romance novels ladies, ever here of foreplay? Personally I am excited to see the savior/revenge romance happening with Assail. Who wouldn't love Trez, the poor little bad boy that needs to be shown he is worthy of a love of his choosing. (My ideas not in book: I am seeing a cool twist for brother IAm to self sacrifice for his brother maybe? Marry the princess begrudgingly and end up happily ever after?) And of course never forgetting Layla's romance, there is a lot to look forward to in the BDBH series. For the people upset about grammar and such, one, please do not rate her book a 0 just for this then turn around and say she is a great writer but needs better editors, that has not so much to do with her writing style or creativity, and hurts her personal ratings. Second don't except a woman who has been through what she has to continue to pop out books to fans as quickly as she can, which for most is not fast enough, to worry about grammar so much in the beginning of a release. As the book gets released in new book lots further editing will happen. So if grammar or the price bother you don't buy it the day it comes out. Wait the price will go down and the grammar will improve. She needs to make a living on her books in this economy as well, while everyone of her editors, publishers and so on take their cuts off the books that she may get out once or twice a year. I understand money challenges ladies, this last year in the time it took to find out I was pregnant to the birth of my son I lost my home, my business, everything. However, her books and my other favorite authors is what gets me through these hards times. They are an escape to a wondrous fairy tale world for the few hours during the day I may get to read. I think of them as they come out as a priority in my life. They give me much needed reprieve so that I can get back to my day relaxed and with a smile. So please be responsible with your reviews, we do want her and other great authors to feel confident and keep writing. There is 'Constructive Criticism' and then there is just well....... Misery that loves company.

Finally!. Loved it! So glad my two guys got together! I think the progress of their relationship was spot on. They have gone through sooo much for the past 8 books plus Qhuinn's home life that he had to overcome. You can't have issues like this and expect them to be together in the first few chapters. I think their relationship progressed realistically and it means so much more bc of this wait instead of them saying sorry and being together in like ch. 5 lol loved the book, love JR Ward and can't wait until the next book! So many more stories got developed! Ready for more Trez and iAm!

Met all expectation. J R Ward has proven that a true romance can be appreciated by us lovers no matter who the characters.Quinn & Blay are two of the character that we grow with so when they finally had their story I was curious how J R would go w/it and was awed at her couragous, sensual uptake on two young men finding themselves & love. I’ve read this one twice, a couple of the more memorable moments a few time, will read it again some day. I think it might be the best one yet with so much meat on the bone you feel gloriously stuffed w/love & so satisfied you want to start all over again. Thank you J R. I can’t wait for the shadows!
