Lacking. All of the elements for a good read but it's just lacking in real character development, it's very flat. I wish I had spent my money on something more enjoyable

Great story line. Really enjoyed reading this book!

Sooooo bad!!!!. If I wanted to read a harlequin novel I would have bought one. This book is just boring. It has none of the wit and humor I love and expect in her novels. I never laughed once.

The Husband List. Loved the book!! A great historical non fiction!! I would have liked to have Jack and Caroline experienced their wedding and honeymoon in the book..maybe a sequel?

Hope for sequel. I LOVED this book! I didn't know if I would bring it different from Janet's normal quirky wacky style! I couldn't put it down! The only problem I had was I wanted to know more! Hoping for a second book about jack and Caroline!

Husband List. A huge disappointment. Missing all the elements that make the "Plum" books so entertaining.

Entertaining. Caroline is the 1890s Stephanie Plumb in spirit. The plot is predictable but still engaging. When you want a light, entertaining romance this is it.

Very good read. I could not put this book down! The romance between the two main characters is exciting and even though it is predictable I thoroughly enjoyed the journey they took to finally end up together. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a easy read romantic story that will stir up your sensual side, a feel good romance with an engaging storyline! A good beachside book for the summer!

Great story. Great storyline and characters. Caroline is very much like Stephanie Plum and has a lovable wild streak in her. I hope this becomes a series.

The Husband List. Nothing like any of Janet's other books. Boring, undeveloped characters - no humor, no suspense ... Not worth a first read let alone a second (and I reread ALL her books). Very disappointing.

Disappointed. I was expecting the usual Janet Evanovich writing style that I love but was sadly disappointed. This book is a tale of a rich heiress who falls in love with her brothers friend while her mother insists she marries a duke. I kept waiting for the usual humor or other twists I expect from Janet's work but it was sadly missing. This book is not worth the money and reads like a cheap harlequin romance.

This book is a waste of time. Not up to par, but something that was written just to make money. My eyes hurt from read this and lord knows I tried. Two words: it stinks! If I could have given lower marks, I would have done so. Janet, how could you stoop so low. Maybe time to retire on the millions you have and enjoy life. Time to pass the reins.

Not buying it. You don't have to buy this book to gees what it will be about so why is it sssssooo overpriced? For it to be worth 16$ it would have to be an awesome book, one that reinvented the freaking wheel.
