Musculoskeletal Anatomy by Jack Baker Book Summary

Here’s a colorful way to learn about the anatomy of the body. The Layer Book is created for beginning and intermediate students of musculoskeletal anatomy in order to bridge the gap between the flat illustrations of anatomy textbooks and the three-dimensional anatomy of the living body. The layered muscle illustrations in this book show the muscles in all areas of the body, as well as the relationships between layers of muscles.

Students of massage, nursing, physical therapy, personal trainers, fitness instructors, yoga instructors, medical students and even high school students of anatomy will all discover new insights into the musculoskeletal system. Show it to your students and clients. It can be a helpful tool to educate them about the anatomy in their own body.

If you want to enhance your learning by drawing the muscle layers yourself, the appendix contains the skeleton layers for all of the layer illustrations in the book. Complete instructions are provided in the appendix. Like the iPad itself, you appreciate this book best when you get your hands on it.

Great tool for learning and teaching anatomy. Great tool for teaching and learning anatomy, at a great price, too. I’ll recommend it to all my students and colleagues for Yoga Teacher Training.

A Wonderful Resource. So many apps dealing with musculoskeletal anatomy that I have looked at are either very high end- geared for physicians with a price tag to match, or they are woefully lacking in content. This effort by Mr Baker is the answer. Concise, easy to use, interactive and informative, Musculoskeletal Anatomy Layer by Layer is a great resource for the healthcare provider. Practitioners of all types will find it extremely useful, either as a reference for themselves or as a visual aid to use with their clients. I love this book and highly recommend it to my colleagues in the wellness industry. -Skip Kanester H.H.P.

Terrific book. This is an amazing book. It is a great way to learn, and to teach, anatomy. The interactive illustrations effectively show how different muscles layer relate to each. It clearly shows the placement and attachments of the muscles. The interactivity of being able to layer the muscles on and off the bones really make learning easy. This book is clear, easy and fun to use. A great buy.
