TERRIBLE. The is the most degrading book you could read, I'm soooo thankful I got to read the sample and not waste my money. If you think you might want to read this because someone told you that you would like it because you liked 50 shades, get the sample first!

Don't compare!. If you are looking for a book similar to 50 shades this is not it. This is the TRUE depiction of BDSM. Love is not often a part of the lifestyle. You are a slave, you wait on the Doms say so for everything. If that is "degrading" or a "turn off" don't read this. 50 shades is a good trilogy, but not a true depiction of BDSM. Do not compare the two, they are very different.

Chicks with self esteem won't like this.. Glad I read the sample. It angered me more than it turned me on. There is no beautiful heroine in this book--only a victim.

No, it's no FSOG. What the average housewife doesn't understand is 50shades of grey is about utter abuse. It is NOT about BDSM. Anna in FSOG is an unwilling participant, plied with alcohol and coerced into playing Christian game. It's of seduction and coercion as opposed to consent and commitment. Anna "fixes" Christian as if there is something wrong with him. This series is NOT about unwilling women lured by love and material items into acts that terrify them- this and all of BDSM is about consensual wanted desired pain and pleasure. Please, house wives of America, do your own research and make sure you understand what you are reading before you go gaga over what the media tells you is a great literary work.

Really a Great Series. I read one review that said the story gets better if you read further, but I'm having a hard time looking past the rape and kidnapping. S&M is consensual, this book does NOT depict that.

NOTHING LIKE 50 SHADES. So degrading and humiliating. If you are looking for something like 50 shades this is NOT it! Christian loved Ana, and never wanted to hurt her, however the prince wants nothing more than to humiliate beauty!!! Get the sample before you buy.

Sleeping Beauty trilogy. I absolutely love this book! If you can handle a little degradation, whips, and the taboo this isn't your book but if you do then read this book.

OMG. Ok. This is very degrading in the beginning. If you read further it actually is an awesome series. There are some parts that I can live without. It is very S&M.

Great read!. This is NOT a 50 shades romance novel. Rice is a far more talented writer. This series is not for the faint of heart and describes more S&M than one can imagine. Written long before the 50 Shades soap opera!

How is this comparable to 50 Shades??. I'm really getting annoyed w/ people advertising books claiming to be similar to 50 Shades just so we can buy them. I read the sample which was considerably large & was turned off. Beauty is being sexually persecuted for no reason by the Prince. Christian actually fell in love w/ Anna & wanted to please her. The Prince wants Beauty to be his slave in all ways sexually & non sexually. The Prince is a complete Sadist. The Prince has no love for Beauty whatsoever. This book is false advertising & maybe I wouldn't be so bothered if it wasn't being compared to 50 Shades.

No. I only sampled the book so I never really read past the 5th page. I could t get passed the part where this guy basically rapes her. Not my cup of tea but each their own. Just warning y’all just in case

Fantastic!!!. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this series but I was hoping for something nasty. Something to give me my own ideas. And boy did it ever. I have read this series three times through and love it more every time!

An instant favorite. I didn’t even finish reading the first chapter of the first book and I was hooked! I looked for opportunities to squeeze in some reading even if it was a quickie. It did not matter if it was an entire page or a couple of paragraphs at a time until I had read the entire trilogy! An instant favorite series!

Great series... But not "mommy porn". This is NOT 50 shades of grey. If you want 50 shades go to the romance section .... Otherwise, this is a great series. It will make you queasy at times but at the same time it's highly erotic and it actually has a plot that's not predictable!

Too repetitive - book all about spanking. I usually love reading bdsm books but this book doesn’t do anything for me. It is too repetitive with all the spanking and being on all fours and just the same punishments over and over. I tried so hard to get through book 1 of the set to give it a real honest effort to get into it and I just couldn’t do it and that says a lot with me.

No plot. Hopelessly boring. Little to no plot. Was sooo disappointed. Anne Rice is a fabulous author and this seemed like a forced effort. Wish she had released this under a pseudonym. A terrible mark on her life’s work.
