Review of The Island - Part 1 & 2. Excellent read so far! Has my full attention. Think I know where the plot line is going and cannot wait to see if I am right. Keep writing - you're good! Not a critic!. I'm onto book two and I'm enjoying the ride :) great writing with the detail to make u wish u were there.... Erm except for the dying part lol :)

Top Flight. This is well written and entertaining. The ending left wanting the next book immediately.

It got amazingly better!. The first book I thought was extremely boring, too much detail, not enough of anything happening. But it did build a great foundation for the story. I originally was going to stop once I got to the last page of book one, but I am a reader who hates having read only one book if a series. And I am glad for it. To sum it up, the end of book two has placed the series, and author, on my list of must read and reread books.

The Island. This is a very quick read, but it ends as if the author forgot what else to write about or decided to take a vacation. The plot developed in Part 1 is continued, but changes from "end of the world" to paranormal. I like twists, but this was a bit too strange. Overall, a good read, not a very good or excellent read. I'm hoping for better in the third part.

Grandpa. A good story continues but goes into too much detail at times. Could make you sleepy in parts.

The island:part 2. I love the way this author writes. Sometimes he appears to go off a bit with his past memories and learning experiences but they can be funny. Part one and two seem way too short and leave me wanting more. Once I began reading, I couldn't stop. It was that good!

Nice Read. I put the first three parts of the book into my iphone library a few months back or so and had past them up many times to read something else. The other day I finally read the first part and have not been able to stop reading them. The story line is beginning to unfold itself slowly, which keeps me reading. I am also a fan of the wonderful descriptive language found in the authors writing and the development of the main character. It has been a fun read so far and i look forward to continuing into the next part.

It's complicated.... 5 stars if you are reading the whole series in one shot but as a stand-alone book, it's pretty frustrating. It starts with no explanation, straight from where the previous book ends and then this story stops abruptly having made good plot development but no true resolution of any event. Worth the reduced price but won't be paying more for other parts of the series.

Disappointed. This is just a part of an incomplete story.

Hooked. Very well written. Characters are well developed and interesting. It is definitely a page turner! Can't wait to begin book 3.

Loved it! Chilling!. I've read each part and each one is better than the previous. You can't help but be drawn into this story. The later parts contain some scenes so descriptive that I got chills. The writer does an excellent job of pulling the reader into the tale in a way that you can really feel what the characters are feeling... everything from fear of the Fever to fear of the unknown. Excellent excellent work!!! I can't wait for more!

The Island Part 2. Not my type of novel but found I could not stop reading. Great Job.

Better than Book 1. Book one had a few distracting typos & droned a bit in descriptions - book two seemed to flow better & not get as bogged down in the details - great free book, enjoyable

totally worth the read!. I have been incredibly surprised by this book set!! it's amazing and I'm about to start part 3 ASAP!! i want to know what's up with that kid and those goblins soooo bad it literally hurts :)

Great read. We pick up William Hill from where we left him and the story gets better and better. If anyone struggled with Part 1, you'll be glad to know this is much easier reading. Mr Stark says in the comments that revisions are ongoing but nothing to change the base storyline and it shows in Part 2. The story moves on nicely and after finishing I downloaded Part 3 immediately. I'm hooked, I hope you will be too. Happy reading.

Excellent. The last serial book I read (Stephen Kings Green Mile) had me waiting anxiously for the next installment, this is no different.

The island. This part was okay, better than the first part! Still hoping for it to get better

Cra**ed myself!. Reading Pt 2 having breakfast outside on a bright sunny morning, in a lovely bar in Budapest was no protection against the spine chilling spookiness in store in this volume! God help you if you happen to be reading this on a stormy night alone in an old house!

Great book. I really enjoy the books. The world has a lot of details and is well written. I read this too relax and enjoy myself.

The Island part 2. A good read keeping interest active constantly actually worth money.

Witty, real and scary. Brilliantly written. I'm not usually one for serials, but for this one I'm in for the long haul. A couple of moments had the hair up on the back of my neck!

The Island - Part 2. Could not put this down. Have to immediately start Part 3!! "We-lee-um"!!!! Oh God!! Spine chilling. Great writing. Captivates you right from the beginning!

Pretty Good. I enjoyed this book more than the first. The first book was a bit too detail oriented, where book two dealt more with relationships and introduction to the terror to come. I was fairly on edge reading through the boat part.

The Island-Part 2. Well, I read #1 and just finished#2 and can't wait for #3. And let's just say they both scared the h..l out of me. Be warned

Good read. Two parts in and I have to admit I'm hooked, this book has me thinking of King's dark tower set. This will engage the reader as the story seems to be going along similar lines as kings the stand just without the singular boogeyman or the heavy religion. Just waiting on the remaining parts to come out.
