A Stranger in the Family by Patricia McLinn Book Summary

He came for his son. He never expected her.
A sexy, intriguing stranger arrives unexpectedly at her Wyoming ranch, threatening the one thing Cambria protects more fiercely than her heart -- her family.
Bodie's discovery that he fathered a son 17 years ago starts a search that leads him to the warm and welcoming Weston family. But his response to one member of the family is far more than he ever expected. The sparks between him and Cambria are real ... and so is the danger to his hopes for their future if she finds out why he's really in Wyoming.

Family is the core of the first book of this series, but family is not necessarily simple. As one reader review states, A Stranger in the Family "mixes love, family and complicated situations together. I could not put this book down."

ColdLoved the hero, hated the heroines mean, rude, bitter personality. I was hoping for a twist to pop up like maybe falling for the real mom. Then I realized it was only because the heroine was just so dang rigid/hard... She's a tough nut to like, period..Score: 3/5

Good readI enjoyed reading this book because I like the characters in the story. I like the banter between Boone and Cambria. It was interesting to see how Boone was going to tell them that Pete was his son. After he did the author did not tie the story up with a red ribbon. Instead she went on to explore the feelings of those involved with this big revelation. Showing how they finally worked everything out..Score: 5/5

Just okayIt was easy to get into the book and like the characters but it was hard to finish. It seemed like the plot moved VERY slowly from then beginning until 3 chapters or so from the end where it picked up the pace and had a slap-dash ending.
