The people begin with questions about defeat, struggle, and the nature of their enemies; they contemplate the will to change and the virtues of loyalty and solitude; and they ultimately turn to questions of beauty, love, wisdom, sex, elegance, and what the future holds. “What is success?” poses the Copt. “It is being able to go to bed each night with your soul at peace.”

If you like sanctimonious platitudes, you'll love it's book. I felt so let down after I bought this book....thinking it would be a fun adventure story about secrets of a lost manuscript, the siege of Jerusalem, etc.....sort of like Indiana Jones meets Dan Brown. Not even close! It reads more like the tired old sermons I had to sit thru in church every Sunday when I was a kid....been there, done that, didn't need to pay for it then.
Ah-mazing. This book has made me rethink about what life really matters. Such an inspirational book. Love it!

Love it!. I really enjoyed the book, it really changed my outlook on life: relationships, happiness etc. I left an abusive ex after reading this. This book helped me to really evaluate my life and my decisions. I couldn't put it down and I'm not really a bookworm but I highly recommend this book.
