Great sarcastic humor... Not a lot of people can talk about themselves in a humorous way like David..

Moar!. Some stories are better then others... But the collection as a whole is engrossing to read.

Not funny. Depressing actually

A real downer. I have many of Sedaris' books, and can easily say this one is so depressing and unfunny, I won't finish reading it. It seems to be a list of everything bad that ever happened to him, totally devoid of his usual humorous aspect, and has added in a few depressingly unfunny things written by awful women he narrates as, as if to make matters even worse on purpose. Unless you're bursting with positivity and glee, avoid this downer of a book.

Very funny, thoughtful, irreverent. Nobody makes me laugh like David Sedaris. He is so extraordinary at crafting his thoughts, his voice so singular I hear him talking as I read. He can make the most banal of subjects--flossing for example--hilarious. My only regret is that there weren't more pages. Great, fun, easy read.

Sorry Sedaris. A few pages' read made me buy this book, only to find the material pointless and depressing. Pass this one up, unless you really are pointless and depressed.

David Sedaris never disappoints. 'Twas a good read as all his books tend to be. I laughed, thought, contemplated and annoyed people in coffee shops with my tittering. Can't wait for the next one!

Fantastic. David Sedaris is my new favorite author. His writing style is such that it's almost like he is telling you a story in person. You can hear his voice and feel the sting of his biting humor. I frequently laugh out loud, and many of the stories kept me giggling for days. Thoroughly entertaining.

Liberalism to the nth degree. A funny man but his hatred of all things consevative including his place of birth (the US) is disturbing. I will not be purchasing his rants in the future.

Perfect Sedaris. Sedaris has delivered another hilarious, sometimes cringe-worthy, set of essays that add chapters to the stories we already know and love. Sedaris is an entertainer and a wildly talented author, and his new work, Let's Explore Diabetes With Owls, does not let you forget that.

May be his best yet. Sedaris fans will not be disappointed. More maturely self-reflective, this is classic, laugh out loud David.

First Sedaris read. Love his dry sense of humor. Several laugh out loud moments….

Awesome. I can reread Sedaris' work because it never gets stale. This is no exception...found myself cracking up even while reading in public!

Always a joy to read. I love having these books available on my phone and computer for those inevitable times that I am waiting around, on a plane or wherever else and I can get through one of his stories while I’m waiting. They always put me in a better mood.

Much worse than previous books. This is the first of Sedaris' books I couldn't finish -- mostly not funny, just dark and depressing and misanthropic...

Different but the Same. I found this collection of essays a bit different from his other collections. Some chapters had "stories" that were self contained short stories. This confused me at first but I let myself enjoy their own special place of weirdness within David's world. This collection took me awhile to read only because I wanted it to last. Very enjoyable.
