The #1 Bestseller!

A QUEST OF HEROES (BOOK #1 IN THE SORCERER’S RING) revolves around the epic coming of age story of one special boy, a 14 year old from a small village on the outskirts of the Kingdom of the Ring. The youngest of four, the least favorite of his father, hated by his brothers, Thorgrin senses he is different from the others. He dreams of becoming a great warrior, of joining the King’s men and protecting the Ring from the hordes of creatures on the other side of the Canyon. When he comes of age and is forbidden by his father to try out for the King’s Legion, he refuses to take no for an answer: he journeys out on his own, determined to force his way into King’s Court and be taken seriously.

But King’s Court is rife with its own family dramas, power struggles, ambitions, jealousy, violence and betrayal. King MacGil must choose an heir from amongst his children, and the ancient Dynasty Sword, the source of all their power, still sits untouched, waiting for the chosen one to arrive. Thorgrin arrives as an outsider and battles to be accepted, and to join the King’s Legion.

Thorgrin comes to learn he has mysterious powers he does not understand, that he has a special gift, and a special destiny. Against all odds he falls in love with the king’s daughter, and as their forbidden relationship blossoms, he discovers he has powerful rivals. As he struggles to make sense of his powers, the king’s sorcerer takes him under his wing and tells him of a mother he never knew, in a land far away, beyond the Canyon, beyond even the land of the Dragons.

Before Thorgrin can venture out and become the warrior he yearns to be, he must complete his training. But this may be cut short, as he finds himself propelled into the center of royal plots and counterplots, ones that may threaten his love and bring him down—and the entire kingdom with him.

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A QUEST OF HEROES is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders, including fans of George RR Martin, Sarah J. Maas, Rick Riordan, and readers of the legends of King Arthur and Merlin. It is 82,000 words.

Books #2--#17 in the series are now also available!

“Grabbed my attention from the beginning and did not let go….This story is an amazing adventure that is fast paced and action packed from the very beginning.”
--Paranormal Romance Guild {regarding Turned}

“A great plot, and this especially was the kind of book you will have trouble putting down at night. The ending was a cliffhanger that was so spectacular that you will immediately want to buy the next book, just to see what happens.”
--The Dallas Examiner {regarding Loved}

“A spirited fantasy that weaves elements of mystery and intrigue into its story line. A Quest of Heroes is all about the making of courage and about realizing a life purpose that leads to growth, maturity, and excellence….For those seeking meaty fantasy adventures, the protagonists, devices, and action provide a vigorous set of encounters that focus well on Thor's evolution from a dreamy child to a young adult facing impossible odds for survival….Only the beginning of what promises to be an epic young adult series.”

It’s great!. Ignore all of the negative reviews, they are literally littered throughout this review feed. I do agree yes this book has its ups and downs in the grammar area and plot and things of relation; yet there still is something to it that just draws me in. Granted everyone who is upset should be the books are really not up to par of what we are use to, but it’s still a good read. Honestly a quick read; I recommend you pick up the entire series and read it. It’s quite interesting, even with the mistakes.

He was. No

Goes on without a good plot. This series is one of the worst I have ever read. First book is okay, but the rest are beyond disappointing. I love the idea, but the characters are unrealistic and very confusing.

Book 1 of "Sorcerers Ring". To: all fantasy lovers The start of a journey witch ends up being so long it takes up 17 books and from ( and I speak for all who love fantasy) just that fact alone it would be a want to read but with the added in drama of running away army's love lies and heart brake with of corse a main character would is part Druid and can literally kill a beast with nothing but a fricking slingshot and superhuman strength and did I forget to mention that there is literally a flipping empiere who wants to kill them all ( hint of future) Darn why must this thing have so many cliff hangers - A True Fantasy Lover

A quest of heroes. Entertaining. Good characters and story line. A fun read

Great great great. I couldn’t stop myself until it was over and then I wanted more!

awesome. excellent read, if youre a fan of fantasy books, i highly reccomend this series!

Editing problems. The book was entertaining, however there was several problems with time scale that detracted from the story. It wasn’t clear at times whether all of the story took place in just a couple days times or over the span of weeks. Also, it seemed that the author couldn’t decide between a feline or canine for the pet. While it was portrayed as a snow leopard cub it acted more like a puppy.

There's promise, but.... I love a good fantasy tale, and this series has the beginnings of a good one, but they are rushed and HORRIBLY edited. If wretched grammar and spelling can ruin a book for you, don't read these books. Plus, the author repeats themes and phrases to death. If I read, "She/he could feel the power of her/his father rising up in her/him," one more time, I'm going to lose my mind. Someone should have spent a little more time and money on a GOOD editor, if one was sought at all. Missing words, bad grammar, bad punctuation, incorrect use of words...they all detract so horribly from the story that it makes this whole series a cringe-worthy read and overshadow the truly great and original ideas that this author has.

Quest of heroes. Good, easy read!! Ready to start next book!!

Fair to middling. Good plot, but very poor character development, and poor setting of scenes.

Hooked. Instantly hooked onto this book it has an amazing storyline can't wait to start the second one

Amazing book!. Honestly this is the first book I’ve read since grade school and I’m 32 now. This book has me hooked very early. Definitely going to read the rest of the series!!

Predictable and shallow. Don't bother reading past book 1. The same scenarios are repeated over and over, with the same predictable outcome. Characters are developed thinly, battles are repetitive. The rest of the series is "copy and paste". Lame

Great set. Once you get into the story you don't want to put them down

A first draft written by a twelve-year-old. You might think I'm being harsh, but I'm really not. The characters are all one dimensional, the writing was poor, the story was a combination of plots from every sword and magic fantasy ever written. I read the first book because it was free, the second I read because I hoped it'd get better (there were a few signs of originality and the possibility that it would get better.) I read the next five, that's right, I read even more, because this series was a perfect example of what not to publish as a writer. If you want something that requires no brainpower or imagination to read, give it a shot. And too the author, if you ever feel so inclined to read this review. How in the hell are you a bestselling author?

If I could star it more, I totally would.. This book is amazing! There's never a dull part in it! I just literally got done with it and I'm so excited to start the second! Truly I'm not the biggest book reader, but when it comes to this book, I couldn't stop reading!

Pretty good but various errors throughout reading. Like my title says the book series is quite good with an interesting story. However, there are multiple instances of the wrong character name being used or repetition of the same word over and over making some scenes feel repetitive. If you can get over this then it’s a great book but it definitely subtracts from the feel of the story at times.

Trite.. Unerringly predictable through 5 chapters, could not finish.

A Must Read!!!. Honestly I loved the book; and it was a gorgeous plot and I hope to read the next one.

Before you get hooked .... This series is great but goes on forever… I bought maybe 10 of the books. (I have no clue how many books there are now in this series.) Then I relised NO one ever dies. Out of the 6 characters in the book one has died. IF your intrested in a book that doesn’t drag read another series. IF your looking for a good quest with a strong hero this is the book for you.

Intriguing. Keeps you on edge of seat, or bed, wherever you read from.

Great story. While the story does have some traditional aspects to it, the author mixes her own creativity into the story making it an exceptional read. There are some spots that could use a little bit of work but of course every books have those. Definitely worth reading!

Great book !!. Haven’t read since high school and started to try and read more going into new year. Saw this free book and gave it a try and I finished within 2 days. Could not put it down and excited to read the rest of the series.

Ok books. I do not like to buy books in this format because they say there are more than one book in the series. If you bought a printed version of the 3 (?) books in this series it would not even be one book. Probably if you bought the whole series it might make one or 2 books at best. I am done with this. If you can’t give us the whole book don’t bother. It is an ok series of books but it does drone on and on.

Unreadable. Really bad, just poor writing. Became too painful to read.

Lacks Complexity and Poorly Edited. This book and this series for that matter are not worth reading. Every turn is completely predictable. I will say I read through book three in hopes it would get more complex and it doesn’t. It gets worse, less complex, more poorly edited. This author has no imagination and obvious can’t even get a publisher to edit it. Every turn is completely predictable. I suggest finding something else to read or you will get through a book or two and be irritated like me.

Not reading a story with homosexuality in it. Horrible book from a horrible mind.. Not reading a story with homosexuality in it. Horrible book from a horrible mind.

THOR!!!!!. This is a tremendous / outstanding Fantasy Book. My only problem is that it took me so long to find & read it. There is nothing left out of this book it has it all. Sorcery, violence, love story, assassination plots, dragons (More Dragons Please & I think they are coming) & much much more. The main character Thorgrine journey from the start as a commoner to the rise inside the Kings family is a dramatic story that you just cannot put down until the end. It is a fantastic read for all age groups.

Kings and Sorcerers Bundle. I can not put the book down and excited to read the next book!

Eh. Honestly, I was very disappointed. The characters are all one dimensional and I could only get myself to care for the characters the author wanted me to hate. The only two gay characters have traits the author considers "unmanly" and speak in high pitched, effeminate voices. The book fails the bechdel test (although there are two named female characters, one of them has yet to be shown, and the only conversation between two women is about a boy). The king is supposed to be "progressive" and "loving" but he regularly calls two of his sons disappointments and forces the gay son to marry a woman. The main character always does what's right and never seems to struggle which makes for an uncompelling read. The book does get two stars for creativity and world building.

Awesome. I absolutely this first book of this series. Great characters, great story line and kept my interest from start to finish. If you like knights and medieval stories you will certainly enjoy this.

The book. This book is not for children. It is an adult read because of some of the specific topics in it that are inappropriate for children. Other than that, good.

Great book. It’s a very great book! I loved reading the book! It’s kept me turning the pages to find out what happens next, I got done with the book and had to buy the next one to find out what happens next!

Naresh.S. Amazing. I love the story and characters. Every moment I’m free I’m reading craving more and more.

Bad.. The other 1 star ratings sum it all up. Terribly written. Also, there's a ton of random events. [*SPOILER*] Like when the king adopts Thor, and nobody gives a crap, and Thor and everybody else never talk about it or act any differently? It's as if it never happens... There's a lot more examples of this too...

How did this make it to print?. I’ve never rolled my eyes so hard while attempting to read a book. I could go into detail but I haven’t the time. Just know that the plot is the cheesiest, most predictable, most nonsensical thing. It will leave you with more questions than answers and not good ones! You’ll wonder why every character is cliche and ignorant. You’ll wonder how things just “happen” and so easily! Protagonist is obviously the savior of the world who immediately gets the girl and the only problems he has is due to his own ineptitude. There’s nothing about any of the characters to love and they all run around in circles doing nothing much at all.

Really?. Good story. Interesting Characters. Too much "He loves Me...He Loves Me Not". Why can't characters just talk to each other and listen to what is being said instead of all the childish, stick the fingers in your ears, walk off in a huff stupid behavior? Yes, in real life there are times that answers are not readily available....but at every turn? There would never be a happy ending if people really acted this way. The relationship between Thor and Gwen is like a "Carrot on a Stick"......Come on, Come on, Come on......Go away!

It’s ok but it could be better. Alright so I’ll start with the thing I have problems with. First is the authors use of cliches. He says things like “kid in a candy store” and while that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it does raise some questions about the writing style. He’s a knight in training. There weren’t candy stores in this time period and while we know what that means as a reader it detracted from the overall feeling of that chapter. Also I feel like the battle tactics they are teaching aren’t correct. You would never throw a weapon away. That’s not a good idea. It gives the enemy a weapon to use and if you miss then you don’t have a weapon. So I feel like a little more research on the topic of knights and battle strategy should have been implemented. Ok so here’s what I like, it has great characters and I feel a great connection to Thor. The author uses imagery really well to connect me to where I’m at and that’s a great aspect. Other than that there’s not much else. Wish I could give this a higher score but the issues I stated detract from my reading experience.

Is very good. Read it my friends

One of my favorite series' to date. Amazing story line. I caught a few mistakes that were only irritating because the book is so well written with such potential. Once i got to the 6th book it felt like the story line was just dragging on. However its still in my top favorites. One word, amazing. If made into a film, with absolutely nothing changed, it could compete with The Lord of the Rings.

The Best Book Ever. One of the best books i have ever read, i can stay up for hours reading this! Especially me being a 13-year old kid who has ADHD and ADD, this book was a real page turner I am more than happy to write this review. :)

Love it !!!. Give it a shot!!! You will be stuck on it. Well narrated, you feel like your in the story. Lol,and I'm 41.

Amazing. Well to say the least this is one of the best fantasy books I've read I'm on the second one and I love it so far. Amazing work. Morgan Rice. I've read one of her other books and it was amazing as well. Haven't gotten into the other parts but will eventually. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.

Wonderful Story, Characters and Plot. Morgan Rice is one of my favorite authors and her stories are wonderfull with real characters and plots. The Quest of Heros series will have you reading late into the evening as each one is hard to put down. Plenty of Action and Adventure as the story unfolds and the main characters evolve. Highly Recommended.

Awesome. It is an awesome book. At first I thought it was just a fairy tale or something like that but it turned out that it was a very addicting book. 📝📝 Keep on writing on Morgan

Steelerfan. Awesome. A very enjoyable book.

Great characters and plot. I love Gwen and Thor romance ❤️

Better than Awesome. God I wish he next book is as good as this one!!!! But it's not free :( I'll try finding it in the libraries

Bad writing. The writing is so poor that it distracts from any redeeming value of the story...which isn't much to begin with. Over used words and phrases. Incorrectly used words. Poor grammar. Inexplicable discrepancies in the story line. Odd descriptions of things like pregnancy that make it apparent the author did zero research. The author even uses the wrong character's name a couple of times. Sad. I have to believe that these reviews with five stars are fake because I can't imagine that even a young kid would not be offended by the ignorance and near illiteracy exhibited here.

Great storytelling-Main character needs work. This was a great start to the series. Some well thought out characters, world building and intrigue. But Thor’s character was poor-he spends 80% of his time in shock, disbelieve, beet-red in embarrassment and in complete disbelief in using his powers. But manages to stumble through heroic acts. The writing around his powers feels lazy to say it just sort of happens & doesn’t help me want to back him. This could be a book for all ages but the main character needs work for adult audiences!

Overused storyline. It was a relatively enjoyable read, but some of the story telling was repetitive and incredibly cliche Not awful But definitely not good

Fantastic!. This was an absolutely fantastic book, it was hard to put down, the story moves along incredibly fast. The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the description of a few things is pretty weak, and there a dozen or so punctuation, grammar errors, and simple mistakes. However do not let this deter you as it is a brilliant read!

Thanks.. Thanks.

Good read. This was actually the first book I read on Apple books. I enjoyed it and would recommend young adults to read it too.

Very entertaining. As a long time fan of epic fantasy novels I found this book and the rest of the series very entertaining and enjoyable. I can’t put it into the realms of Eddings “Belgariad” books or Fiest’s “rift war saga” as these seem to be targeted at a younger audience, but it made me laugh and smile as I read, something of a rarity with modern fantasy books. If you’re looking for something to get your teeth into and loose yourself in a good book then I would highly recommend you give the sorcerers ring series a try

James whdu a. Omg it is a sick book get it 5 Star doesn't even begin to cover it

Talk about cliffhangers. Pretty good so far. I've downloaded book 2 and three to see where the story goes. The book is worth a read!!

Amazing as usual. Your books are amazing and impossible to put down!!!! I am so excited for every new one and you never disappoint!! 5 stars are not enough!!!

Great. Really enjoyed this book looking forward to book two with relish

Quest of heroes. Well this was a bit of a lucky find on holiday! Brilliant ! Didn't want to stop reading it immediately downloaded the next one.

Action, Magic, and an Underdog!. Simply a book you cannot put down! This is a story of a young boy who was nothing more than a simpleton, whose unyielding desire for something more takes him to places he could never have imagined! A young boy named Thor is a sheep herder one day and then squire to a knight the next! With his unknown and untapped power the adventures of Thor's life are filled with magic, action packed fight scenes, new friends, and of course the girl of his dreams! Highly recommend this story!

What a top series. I normally do not read these types of books I normally read history. But I started to reading the first book of this series and I am so impressed. I am now up to book 10 and the standard is still very high. Well done!

Sorcerers Ring. I've read the whole series, loved it

Pretty bad. Full of inconsistencies, plot errors, grammatical and spelling options. Read all the reviews on Amazon and Goodreads for more on this. Great example, through the plot, one of the characters Luanda has a husband whose name starts as one name then just changes, then loses a hand in battle, which strangely later is a lost eye... Just full of weird mistakes that any half proud author wouldn’t publish

The sorcerers ring book1. It was a good story. A bit too predictable at times

A Quest of Heroes. A thoroughly good read. Can't wait to read the next instalment

Superb. Another great from this writer. Has you lost in another world. JackieT

Couldn't Put It Down. This is not my normal read but I couldn't put it down! I just didn't like the ending. Now I have to get the second book. Great marketing ploy!

Love this series!!!. Morgan Rice has done it again and started an amazing series in Escalon!! I love the first book… on to the second!!

Amazing!. This is the first book that has caught my eye in awhile, and I can not stop reading. Loving every minute of this book!

Gave up.. About halfway through I stopped reading. There's too many things that throw you out of the story, like "her smile dropped for the first time" being written twice in the same conversation between two characters. It's poorly written. I really expected more from iBooks featured book. Makes me wonder if anyone at Apple actually reads these or do they just follow the trend.

Looooove this book!. I couldn't put it down. There are some grammatical errors, but It was very easily over looked. I love how the story line is going so far. I gave this book a 5 mainly because I got really mad that I had finished it. As well its one of those books that i just couldn't stop thinking about. I can't wait to buy the rest of the series!!

Great Story. This book is hard to put down and often find myself looking for more time to continue reading

Terrible. Terrible.
