Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry!. This was a very intelligent book, it made me sorrowful for the people who weren't as fortunate as us back then, but it also made me smile for the most part. This book shows the hardships of life back in the 1600's and all through. But we've grown a lot from then.

GREATEST BOOK EVER!!!!. This book is a great book. I am a fifth grader at Christian Brothers School and had to read this book for school. As a kid who always wanted to learn about racism and all that sort of stuff, this book was great for me. I have read this book three times now and every time something different in the book stands out to me. Mildred D. Taylor did a great job of writing this book and really making the book suspenseful to where you wanted to read on.

What is the sequel called?. I actually LOVED this book. I thought it would be kinda boring but BOY was I wrong! This book is great. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because of the amount of times the N word was used. Otherwise, great book!

U were sawing 1600s no way it was in that time frame I haven't read it al the way cuz my class it do I g it at school to fit with the social studies thing but it is in like the 1930s so ur that person is like 300 years off probable a lot more...... But so far the book it annoying .....people get the time period correct done one said it was in the 1300 no way !!!!!! It's in the time of around 1930!!!!!!! A while after the civil war because there are sharecroppers so the slaves are free

Review. Amazing book. It describes exactly how hard it was back then. As well as the sad moments and the moments of anger and mystery it all fades away at the end.

I LOVED THIS BOOK😹😹😹😸😸😸. This book was really good. I especially liked the part at the beginning (spoilers alert) when they dug the trench in the road for the bus to go through and get stuck. I've only ever actually read the first chapters and it was really good. I was reading the book for school so I never had the time to finish it. Definitely read this book. Also if you are looking for a book for black history month and are looking for a book look no further than this books pages. Loves this book I have it a whole five stars so that must mean it's worth it. 😜

Amazing book. I was forced to read this for school, but found this more enjoyable than my fellow classmates. Many found it boring, but to me it had action and allowed you to look into the past at how it must have been for those people back then.

Roll Of Thunder. In the beginning of the book it is hard to understand what is going on, who the narrator is, and who each character is. As you go on in the story you begin to understand everything. In some parts of the story it can be boring and slow, but at the end of the book you understand the importance of all the events leading up to the ending. I really really enjoyed this book!

Amazing!. You learn to love Cassie and her family, so it's like you're in the book and going on the adventures with them. I do admit it's a little sad when you know that this is a true story
