D2D. The sight is truly wonderful! A few months ago, I was struggling to find a sight where I could self-publish without having to be 18, because I am currently 17. When I found D2D, I was sure that it had to be a hoax since it was the only self-publishing sight where I didn’t have to be 18 and it would distribute ebooks to so many well known stores. But I was happily surprised! It’s super easy to use, and has a simple layout. I just published my first book last night and already have my book distributed to four different stores. So not only is it easy to use, the people on the other side work quickly to publish a book. I am definitely looking forward to being accepted for making paperbacks, which I don’t believe will take too long. Can’t wait! I will say there is one downfall, which I’m sad about. Audiobooks often sell for more than a regular ebook or audiobook, because somebody is taking the time to record themselves reading the book aloud. I really wanted to transfer my book to audio, but I often sound really awkward so I didn’t want to record myself reading. The only other option was getting a narrator from D2D (which is still a really cool option) but for just 7k words it was $150, and I don’t have that kind of money laying around. But I do still think that it’s really cool they offer a narrator. Maybe soon! Anyway, if you’re thinking about self-publishing, I would definitely recommend D2D, for both underaged and legal age writer. It’s quick, it’s easy, and the best part is that they offer to pay you by check and not just direct deposit. Reliable and safe to use!
