Way too short. I really loved the first two and was really looking forward to this one. However, I felt it was a rushed attempt at a third book. This only felt like a portion of what the book had potential for. I was a tad disappointed. It was a trip down memory lane where if you read the first two you already knew some of the story.

Review originally posted on Reading Books Like a Boss Adam and Ellie's love story was one of the secondary storylines in On Dublin Street and when I saw that Samantha Young was writing a short novella to give us all the dirty details, I was so freaking excited. Ellie Carmichael is one of the most endearing book characters. She's so incredibly sweet and easy to love. I can see how hard it must have been for Joss to try to push her away. Ellie has been in love with Adam for years. As one of her big brother's best friends, Adam kept his distance from Ellie until life made it to where he couldn't stay away from her. It's just an unspoken rule that you don't go for your best friend's little sister. This rule frustrated Ellie to no end for years as she waited on the sidelines for Adam to make his feelings known. The history of their love story is told in a series of diary entires that Ellie had kept from her teen years through the events in On Dublin Street, which I enjoyed reading. One of my favorite moments of the book was seeing the night Ellie went to Adam's apartment and was sent home unsatisfied and angry. Ellie spoke about it in On Dublin Street but I had always wanted to see that scene through Ellie's eyes. This book was a lot of fun to read, even though it was just them reminiscing. I'm glad Young didn't make their story a completely novel, the novella was the perfect length to share their story with the reader. 3 stars

Cute! Like Els.. This book was very cute but I still loved the first one the most. But definitely a good read.

Hopeless romantic. Can I just go awwwww! Ellie is most definitely a hopeless romantic. Even though we all know that she and Adam get together it was still sweet going down memory lane with them as to how they fell in love and tried to pretend that they were only friends. I suggest if you can care less on how Ellie POV was then this is not a book for you. I thought it was great since I wanted to know more about their relationship. It is a short read so keep that in mind.

I loved this book.. It's such a good story. I wish it was longer but still really good. I will continue to read Samantha young's books. She never disappoints.

I want my money back!. I bought this thinking it was about Ellie and Adam after the events of "On Dublin Street". This is about two hundred pages of flash backs from Ellie's point of view. I feel cheated. What a waste!
