Shadows in Flight by Orson Scott Card Book Summary

At the end of Shadow of the Giant, Bean flees to the stars with three of his children--the three who share the engineered genes that gave him both hyper-intelligence and a short, cruel physical life. The time dilation granted by the speed of their travel gives Earth's scientists generations to seek a cure, to no avail. In time, they are forgotten--a fading ansible signal speaking of events lost to Earth's history. Leaves you needing more.... I would rate every Orson Scott Card "Enderverse" book 5 stars without hesitation, but this one. It felt incomplete. It had all the makings for more...the life of Bean, the life of the children, and what happens just in a few more years. While its prime for a sequel (and it better be epic if I know what it could be), it just didn't match the depth and length of a normal OSC book...almost like a slightly longer short story. As a reader who has read all of these books and has come to realize these characters as friends, it was always sad to say goodbye to a series, but it was painfully obvious the series isn't done.
Can't wait for the next novel. Starts out wired but ends in a satisfying and sensible way.
A great read. I loved this book. I'm sad that's short but well worth the read.
Enjoyable but incomplete. The story was enjoyable, but felt incomplete - maybe just half the story.
Another great read.... The only reason for three stars is he shortness of the book.
