Emotional and heartbreaking!. Love After Us is a phenomenal, emotional, and heart wrenching conclusion in the Covert Affairs Duet. This book had so many twists and turns and I was hooked from the first page wanting to see how Teddy and Seth’s story would unfold. This was a story about rebuilding yourself after trauma and working through those struggles. This story was an emotional rollercoaster and I felt everything the characters felt. This might be my favorite story by Claudia Burgoa and I can’t wait to see what she writes next! Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

She went there. Part two is a hard one to read. I still don’t like Seth. Honestly? Kidnap him and rape him. Not Teddy. Yet, it’s always Teddy paying the price for Seth’s continually f-ing up. So, Seth ruins everything and everyone with his idiotic behavior. I like that Claudia went there. The writing is solid, as is getting into Teddy’s head. But Seth? Still unredeemable.

Love this Heartbreaking Love Story. I absolutely loved Love After Us by Claudia Burgoa; the second book in her Covert Affairs Duet, it is an incredible accidental marriage/second chance at love story, it was truly gut-wrenching. Claudia Burgoa continues to provide readers with incredible love stories filled with amazing characters. She continues to prove that she is an amazing storyteller. I love all the characters in Love After Us, they feel like family! Love After Us filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, it was impossible to put it down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Love After Us is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. It is filled with all those things that I have come to love and expect in Claudia Burgoa love story, and she did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Love After Us is an accidental marriage and second chance love story between Theodora “Teddy” St. James, owner of TPSJ Life Concierge, which caters to billionaires with unconventional requests and Seth Bradley, co-owner and CFO of Range Communications and Consulting, which he co-owns with Teddy’s brother, Burke. Seth is the son of Ainsley and Mason Bradley and does works with The Organization. An explosion separates Teddy and Seth from each other as the cliffhanger at the end of After the Vow. Teddy is kidnapped and tortured by the Z’s, the group that is responsible for her brother, Archer’s death and disappearance. Seth is rescued by Finnegan Gil, who operates his own covert mission/guns for hire organization. Seth and Finnegan work together to rescue Teddy, as part of Seth’s agreement with Finnegan for rescuing Teddy, he must commit to helping Finnegan locate and eliminate Ricardo Zamudio. Teddy returns to Seattle and lives with her brothers in their shared penthouse, since her home was destroyed by fire. With her family’s help. Teddy decides to enter in a treatment facility to help her deal with her PTSD. As Teddy and Seth communicate through email and text, Seth reveals his real feelings for Teddy. I love the easy banter between Teddy and Seth in their emails and texts. My heart broke when Teddy reveals her torture and that as a complication from her injuries, she might be unable to have children. Make sure you have a box of Kleenex nearby. I love that Teddy is able to work on her relationship with her parents, and how things change from her parents. Once Teddy leaves the treatment facility, she takes a job with her brother Myles and they travel together to London and Paris and meet up with Finnegan’s father, Charles, an archeologist. Myles changes his mind about the concept for his new series and they head to New York. Teddy and Seth finally meet up in New York, his completed his mission with Finnegan, I loved what Seth reveals in his last statement to Finnegan. I love how Seth’s family supports Teddy, despite how her mother, Florence has treated them. I love when both Teddy and Seth get real with their true feelings for one another and open up to each other in an emotionally charged, gut wrenching dialogue that transpires between the two of them. I love changes that Seth is willing to make in his life to have a life with Teddy, and the heart-to-heart conversations that he had with his father, Mason. I love all the things that Seth does for Teddy when she needs him. I love the ending of their love story and I love Seth’s proposal and the location of the proposal. I also love how the epilogue went above and beyond a happily ever after. I was so happy that Seth and Teddy finally got their happily ever after, even if it started with an accidental marriage. One of my favorite parts is the unexpected twist that is revealed about Finnegan Gil. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Love After Us, the characters feel like family and friends. I loved catching up with Bradley siblings and the Decker cousins. I enjoyed all the interactions between Decker cousins especially their teasing that made me laugh. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Love After Us, who does not love a second chance at love story? I loved reading the conclusion of Teddy and Seth’s love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story.

Fantastic story. Where do I begin…Claudia has one again taken us through the wringer. HOWEVER, this story is filled with hope, love and never giving up. Seth and Teddy’s story continues where After The Vows finishes. It is a harrowing, heartbreaking and pain filled story. What Teddy goes through is horrific…finding her way back is so brave, courageous and amazing. Seth is my new hero…is is so patient, kind, loving and funny! He gives Teddy space while loving her until it hurts. The format of how this story unfolds is fantastic - not giving it way. Lol There are some very big surprises that will leave you with your mouth hanging open and still some loose ends that I’m looking forward to learning about. I’m scared for Piper’s books….but excited because I know Claudia will shred our hearts but them out them all back together again. Xoxo Congratulations on another amazing story, Claudia!

Captivating!. OMG! Get ready to be engaged in a story like no other. It’s intense! It’s powerful! It’s nail-biting action! It’s an emotional turmoil! It’s full of heartache! But, you will need tissues for this heartbreaking and angsty read. This is a story about a love so unexpected, a love so pure you can’t stop reading about. LOVE AFTER US is the conclusion of the Covert Affairs duet, and it does not disappoint. This book starts where the first book left off from the cliffhanger. The way Claudia Burgoa shares the past into the present story line is seamless. This book left me wonderfully content at its conclusion to Seth and Teddy’s story. We find out what happened to Teddy and Piper, Seth’s cousin, from the cliffhanger. Finnegan Gil is also looking for Z’s Cartel, and he is someone who rescued Teddy and Piper from the cartel and saved Seth. Why? Is he another enemy of Seth’s? When you find out that the truth isn’t always what it seems, what do you do about it? Well, find out what happens when the secrets unfold, the masks that they hold in place slip off and everything is revealed. But, despite their differences, the chemistry between Seth and Teddy is undeniable in this second chance and slow burn romance. Seth has a relentless obsession to keep Teddy safe… until he couldn’t. Everything about Seth and Teddy seemed too good to be true, but none of that mattered until an incident turns Teddy’s idyllic life upside down. What will Teddy do now? The road to Seth and Teddy’s happiness seems wrought. There are several twists and turns within the story that will tempt the characters in ways they could have never envisioned. Claudia Burgoa has constructed an intriguing romance about love, forgiveness, and family that will lure you into the wee hours and beyond that you will not be able to put this book down.

Amazing. There was a little bit that I didn't think I would survive reading the end of this duet. There was so much angst!!! I think this duet is my favorite CB story. It wrecked me but it was so so so good. I am already needing the next one since I have so many questions about what is going on with the St. James family.

Tears and smiles all around. As I mentioned in my review of After The Vows, Seth and Teddy quickly became what I thought was my favorite Claudia Burgoa couple to date. This became factual while enjoying Love After Us. I also think it's one of the, if not the actual most romantic book from the author. After the trauma suffered by Teddy, I really worried where this character and the book in general was headed. But the open and honest way Seth and Teddy connected with each other made me smile as well as cry both happy and sad tears. The twists and turns in this story are too good to spoil, but I cannot wait to see what happens next. Plus, I want people who read this review to anticipate the story, not read a rehash of everything that happens. So, while this may be short and sweet, this review gives two thumbs up and a gloweing 5 stars to Seth, Teddy and Love After Us!

Entertaining. Having recently read the first book in the Covet Affairs duet, After The Vows, I could not wait to read the conclusion to Teddy and Seth’s story. If you haven’t read After The Vows then STOP; that book must be read before you dive into Love After Us. This book continues on where the previous one finished and was as riveting as the first book and was everything I was expecting and so much more. It was extremely well written with characters that you cannot help but fall for. There were numerous times where my heart was in my mouth and on the edge of my seat as I read. Love After Us was full of danger, raw, emotional, heart breaking and although their journey was rocky, it made for a fitting conclusion to a wonderful duet.

A wonderful conclusion!. I absolutely loved this wonderful conclusion to this addictive duet. Claudia has once again captured the emotions perfectly and I devoured this book. I look forward to reading more from her.

Ticked all my boxes. This is the conclusion to Teddy and Seth’s story so please do not pick this book up without first reading After the Vows because this book starts right where that one finished. Seth has been rescued by a group of mercenaries who are intent on making the world right and getting rid of all the bad guys and that means he stands a chance of rescuing Teddy the love of his life. But what happens when they get Teddy home and how will this couple cope with life………. After the Vows finished on a cliffhanger and Love After Us answers all questions I had running around inside my head, it’s an emotional read that’s full of danger, suspense, angst, heartbreak, love and friendships and it’s the perfect conclusion to Teddy and Seth’s emotional and at times heartbreaking journey. I loved everything about this captivating story and I’m now excited for to come with Piper and Archer’s story.
