Amazing story!. I loved this story by Kaci Rose. I couldn’t put it down. I just wish it was longer. I loved the interactions between Jana and Cole. Jana has been kidnapped but she refused to give the kidnappers what they wanted. Then they kidnapped her friend but Jana knows that she will be saved now. Cole was asked by his neighbor to help him rescue his girl. He agrees even though he prefers being alone. When he sees Jana, he knows that he will do what is necessary to keep her safe. Taken By The Mountain Man. Received an ARC of Taken By The Mountain Man (book 1 of Mountain Men Do It Better Series) in exchange for an honest review. I recently became a fan of Kaci Rose and have loved every book of hers that I’ve read. I fell in love with her series, Mountain Men Of Whiskey River and can’t stop reading her books! This one is about Jana & Cole. Cole is a recluse by choice and Jana is a “social butterfly”. Due to a “disfiguring” injury Cole received in his military career, he refuses to come down off his mountain. Jana was injured during a kidnapping and Cole offered to care for her, at his place, till she’s back on her feet. What happens when she’s well enough to leave? Can they find a way to be together? Jana & Cole’s story is a novella rather than a full length novel and while I enjoyed every minute of reading it, I do wish it was longer. It’s wonderfully written, by Ms. Rose, filled with happiness, love, heat, drama, and even some sadness. This is definitely a book I’m adding to my reread list!

Cole and Jana. I have been waiting for Cole’s story and man oh man this didn't disappoint. Cole is taking care if the injured Jana. She was kidnapped along with her best friend as collateral so that her best friend's boyfriend can give a ransom to her druggie mother and boyfriend. But no, one hurts them and gets away with it. See the men on whiskey mountain are recluse with their own demon to battle. Yet the women like Jana are there to walk beside them. Loved this book. Short and sweet!. This was a short and sweet novella of the Mountain Men series and it was a fun little read! It’s nice when side characters get a moment to shine and bring their love story to the table. The Mountain Men family and friends is growing and I do love the special friendships created in these books that have turned into family.

Holy Hannah!!!. First, I love Kaci Rose’s books. I had this on preorder but was lucky to receive an ARC to review. This one might actually be my favorite. Cole and Jana both have baggage that define how the act in the present. But they don’t realize that some of it is based on misconceptions. As always the sex is hot hot hot, I needed a cold shower. But more than that it is you can ‘feel’ that their love. I don’t want to spoil it, just know that you won’t be disappointed. Sigh . . . How long do I have to wait for my mountain man?

Healing each other. This short novella starts off like a mystery and ends up being a romance. I liked how all these short stories connect in slight manner, and how each mountain man has found the perfect one for them. It was nice to see a compromise with the characters that they both grow and adapt to change. I am voluntarily leaving a review for this book that I received free.

A Man and a Woman and Priorities. Cole and Jana. They met at a kidnapping and rescue. Fate perhaps. A shift in the earth beneath their feet and their goals, priorities. Playful and fun, romantic and moments when I wanted to reach through the pages and shake someone (or several). Definitely a story where the reader chants "you can do it, you can do it". Another captivating book by Kaci Rose.. Jana is kidnapped by her best friends mom and boyfriend. When she is rescued she’s taken care of by Cole. Cole is a protective alpha male who do anything for her except leave his mountain. Working through all the little issues they have. They get to a wonderful happily ever after. Was a very sweet but I highly recommend. Would definitely recommend reading more of this series.

Loved it!. I absolutely loved Taken By The Mountain Man: Book 1 of Mountain Men Do It Better. This story picks up where “TAKE ME TO THE LAKE” ends. Jana was kidnapped by her best friends druggie mother and boyfriend. She knows no one is coming for her but when they kidnapped Hope also she knows her boyfriend will find them. When Cole helps also she fells the immediate response and knows her life is forever changed but she can’t give up her life for him? She’s worked hard and he can’t be in the city so there’s no future. Right? Such an amazing storyline and lovable characters. I enjoy these characters so much and love how they carry through each book. I would definitely recommend this book and the Men of Whiskey River series. I’m looking forward to more in this new series as well. If you read Ms. Rose’s series Mountain Men of Whiskey River you will have meet Cole and Jana and the sneak peak into this story. This story explains a lot about Cole and the mystery of why he is a loner in the mountains, how he helps Jana after her trauma, falling in love, compromising, protection, and so much more. Such a quick, easy, steamy read!

Can Compromise Work?. This was a wonderful book to read! Jana is a small city girl who is put in an unusual circumstance and needs rescuing. Lucky for her 4 mountain men are ready to help! One of them, Cole, is automatically drawn to her and her to him. Jana is injured and Cole offers to take care of her, to which she eventually agrees. Cole is a mountain man through and through, while Jana enjoys her life in Whiskey River. What, if any, compromise can they work out? I love this author’s books! A Perfect Ending To A Chaotic Beginning. When I finished reading Hope and Cash’s story in ‘Take Me To The Lake’, I was really hoping Cole and Jana would also get their story. It was a truly pleasant experience embarking on Jana and Cole’s journey to a happily ever after, even taking into consideration what they had to overcome to get there. This is a story about two people broken from their past finding an inexplicable instant connection and through the time spent together, they are able to heal the pain that had plagued their lives. This was an amazing story to read, that I found myself totally immersed in once I started reading it. This is is a definite must read book. Loved this book!!. Kaci Rose does an absolutely brilliant job of making you love Cole and Jana. The chemistry between them is off the charts! Loved this book. It’s wonderfully sexy yet sweet short read. Definitely on my list for a re-read. Happy reading everyone!!
