Sad to see it end. This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series. I took away one star because I don’t want it to end and I would have like one more chapter. I mean we waited 8 books. One more chapter should have been included. I love all the characters even the ones I’m not supposed to like. Sebastian was my favorite so thank you for writing him. Ann is such a great female character. And her and Violet together made my feminine heart sing! I didn’t want to like Hugh at the beginning but alas there was nothing but to fall for their Frenchman. Please write more. I don’t want to stop reading about these wonderful characters.

I highly recommend “Lady Violet Says I Do”. Sebastian MacHeath married Lady Violet when she was pregnant, long after being widowed, to protect her from disgrace and her babe from bastardy. What Violet didn’t know was that Sebastian had fallen in love with her years earlier and been denied her hand in marriage by her father. When they attend a house party, they endeavor to solve the mystery of the dangerously escalating petty pranks that occur. Along the way, can they learn to trust each other and lean on one another as the lovers they hope to become? As always, Ms. Burrowes writes a beautiful story with period appropriate dialog and moral values, concocting a story whose satisfying outcome is revealed only at the very end, but with characters the reader comes to love and understand. I highly recommend “Lady Violet Says I Do” as well as the entire Lady Violet series. This book was provided by the author without any requirement for a review, positive or otherwise.
