Ehh. No comparison to the other books. It felt a little bit like a last stitch money grab from the series. Not a lot of substance. I would pass on this one, but still love the other books and would recommend them to anyone.

Mid. I was expecting a lot more. This book was not that good compared to the books before it. I also didn’t like the cover because it shows a broken plate. We already have a very big pollution problems and breaking perfectly good plates is contributing to it.😡😡👎👎

Top tier prequel. Impeccable novel series. Holly Jackson has such a vivid story-telling ability. You feel everything Pip feels, see everything she sees. This was a great prequel. The story was filled with little details that make you think about how everything has changed in Fairview by the end of As Good as Dead. It was a fantastic origin story, as I always wondered what it was that made Pip choose to investigate the Andie Bell case in the first place. Short and sweet, this was a fun read.

Kill joy. This book is honestly really good. The mystery was fun and it was a super quick read. If you are interested in the series I would read this book first to see why pip (the main character) chose her capstone project in the trilogy. The ending for the mystery was a little bit of a let down but overall this was a pretty good book. Definitely would recommend.

Different but mice tee up. This was a great quick read to tee up Pip’s larger story. A great intro of all the characters. I wish I read this before the whole series.

Good. Very short and good insight into how Pip started down her crime solving path.
