I loved this story!. I loved Cowboy in a Kilt that take place in Scotland! Kait Nolan wrote a wonderful story of deal with a 300 hundred year old marriage pact that leads to a marriage of convenience. Raleigh, a cowboy wins the land from Aston in Vegas and finds himself with land and a pending marriage with Kyla McKean. I couldn’t put this book down with all the interactions and the relationship between Raleigh and Kyla. Both of them have strong feelings for family, their connection to the land, their tenants and providing the future of their homes. Cowboy in a Kilt is a very enjoyable read and I loved it!. Nothing like a man in a kilt!. Book one of the new Kilted Hearts series starts out strong and just continues to get better with every page turn! Raleigh brings his southern charm to Scotland when he wins an estate from a woman who's trying to escape a 300-year-old arranged marriage pact. He certainly doesn't have anything left at home in Texas, thanks to his father robbing him of his family ranch. But he's in for a surprise when he may lose this piece of land as well. Unless he and Kyla, who's family is the other half of this marriage pact, can figure out a way fake a marriage for both their sakes. Kait Nolan is well known for her rugged yet sweet southern men, but this time she transported one to Scotland, and I am all in. Raleigh and Kyla have a lot more in common than either of them imagined when first meeting each other. It'll make falling for real so much easier! Filled with great characters, many of whom are bound to get matched in upcoming books, Cowboy in a Kilt gets 5 stars from me, and I expect it to be a 5-star series all around.

Another Great Story. The story about Kyla and Raleigh is fantasy personified. Old family squabble coming to the 21st century. You are rooting for Raleigh right after he gets horrible news. You are wondering why Kyla has to go through what she has to to keep her land in this day and age. And the story that intermingles the two is the best. I love the way Kait makes you « fall into » her stories. You almost feel yourself there. Definitely an HEA. Truly swoon worthy. I think for anyone who’s lost something they always knew was their’s, including all of those who would be under their realm of responsibility, then having the rug pulled out from under them, would be insurmountable to overcome! But it’s amazing what you can and will do, when your name is Raleigh Beaumont and you want what you were always promised. And when you are Kyla McKean who feels the exact same way about her ancestral ‘castle’ and responsibilities. This is one to make you swoon. Sets high expectations. Mad at myself for reading this book because anytime my husband does not jump at the chance to do something for me, I will be heartbroken that I did not marry Raleigh 😭😭😭

Full of passion, sweetness, acceptance and love. I loved, loved Raleigh and Kyla’s marriage of convenience, forced proximity, huge life change romance with a side of crazy inheritance requirements. This story will give you all the swoony swoons while also pulling at your heartstrings with all the emotions. It was definitely a stay up too late, cannot put it down, I was sad for it to end kind of book. In Las Vegas trying to figure out a new life plan after learning his father bequeathed his entire family ranch and birthright in Texas to his gold digging stepmother, Raleigh is invited to a poker game where he wins a Scottish estate and title. Unbeknownst to him the land comes with a marriage requirement in order to keep the land. Kyla is also now subject to the marriage requirement now that Raleigh is the owner of the property. They agree to a month long marriage followed by a year separation and divorce. But of course, things get complicated fast, feelings develop and sticking to the initial plan is not as appealing. Experiencing Raleigh and Kyla’s HEA journey included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, and heart squeezing love and you will feel all the feels - laughing, crying, swooning, teeth gritting, and cheering. I cannot wait to read more stories in this series.

Oh so good!. I felt a little lost trying to figure out what was who and where for the first few chapters, but I was engaged enough to plow through where everything made sense. From there on in I couldn’t put it down until the end! Loved the characters, and can’t wait for more from this series!. This is the first in the brand-new Kilted Hearts series and this was just a great way to start off a new series. This was just such an amazing book. I just couldn’t help but fall in love with this world with its wonderful characters. I just had so much fun and I can’t wait to see what’s next for this series.

Brand New Small Town To Fall In Love With. I didn’t think a Scottish village could fill the boots of Kait Nolan’s Wishful, MS and Eden’s Ridge, TN. Well, lo and behold, I believe Glenlaig, Scotland is my new favorite place to hang out and enjoy good times with endearing villagers, surrounded by beautiful countryside! And I strongly recommend reading the delicious and free prequel, Jilting The Kilt, before settling in for a very satisfying read with Cowboy in a Kilt, to fully experience why and how Afton Lennox takes the nuclear option to get herself out of the crosshairs of a 300 year old marriage pact. Her decision puts Raleigh Beaumont squarely in those crosshairs, and a wild and crazy adventure begins when he takes his hardworking ranching experience and love of horses and down-to-earth people with him to Scotland. When he learns fiery redhead Kyla MacKean is his partner under the bizarre marriage pact, he must decide whether to accept her offer to buy him out and return to Texas, or marry her and make a new life as a Scottish Baron. Not only is this story a great romance with an HEA, but it opens up a whole new Kait Nolan world of possibilities for future love stories in Glenlaig! I couldn’t put this book down before I finished and I’m looking forward to future adventures with people I’ve already come to love! First time reading this author the storyline hooks you winning land in Scotland and old contacts from 300 years ago that included marriage or the land goes back to England,Raleigh and Kayla relationship and the land how it pulls them together. Not cliffhanger I will be reading other in this series.

Great new series. Cowboy in a Kilt: This is a great new series and Ireland is a lovely backdrop for it. I can’t wait to read them all. Raleigh and Kyla are perfect for each other, even though it takes them a while to realize it. Raleigh is just dreamy and as the story unfolds he just becomes more and more irresistible. Will they find love or heartache in their arrangement?. Cowboy in a Kilt is the first book in the Kilted Hearts series. There is a prequel that is helpful for some of the backstory, but this book could stand without it. Raleigh has lost everything, but when a mysterious lady gambles away her estate and legacy, Raleigh moves from Texas to Scotland. Kyla knows about expectations and pressure, so when they face an arranged marriage to fulfill the requirements of an old pact, will they find peace and love or will vows and heartache be their new legacy? Oh my goodness, this book was absolutely fabulous! I don’t want to call it a slow burn, because this book was set at a rather quick and delightful pace, but Raleigh and Kyla are a perfect match that doesn’t quite know what to do with each other. Kyla carries the weight of so much family pressure, but also finds the peace and joy in her lands. She so badly wants to preserve what she can, but doesn’t always know how. I loved her strength, but I also loved her quieter moments that showed a softer side. Raleigh was perfect for her because he just seemed to showcase her strength, but allowed her the time to rest and find joy again. He helps shoulder some of the burdens, as he’s a natural protector, but gives her the independence she needs. I really liked them together. There was so much that happens in this book, a bit of a relationship triangle, and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed my time spent within these pages! I look forward to the next book in the series already!

Off to a flying start. If Cowboy in a Kilt is anything to go by then Kait Nolan has another winning series on her hands. From the first word I was drawn into Kyla MacKean and Raleigh Beaumont’s story and such was the writing I could easily picture myself in Lochmara or Ardinmuir, Scotland. Although not strictly necessary, if you have time download Jilting The Kilt, the prequel. When Raleigh meets Afton Lennox in Vegas and is invited to a private poker game, he has no idea how it will change his life. Still reeling after losing his family ranch, Raleigh is shocked to suddenly find himself the owner of Lochmara. Thanks to an ancient pact, he also finds himself engaged and quickly married to Kyla since Afton left Scotland and the marriage of convenience that had been planned between her and Kyla’s brother Connor. The plan is to get married, separate and eventually divorce, a marriage of convenience, but we all know plans can change. I loved how these two strangers quickly became friends, listening to one another and being so supportive. I loved their journey from friends to lovers, it was heart warming and based on a genuine friendship. The secondary characters were entertaining and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Cowboy in a Kilt. How Raleigh became a displaced Texan in Scotland is quite interesting and then the intriguing pact attached to his windfall. A very interesting and wonderful story from beginning to end. Highly recommend this book thoroughly enjoyed it. Really well written. A good story with the author having a way with words to paint a real picture of characters, emotions and believability.

I love pretty much anything this author puts on paper, but this book, heck this whole series, has taken it all up a notch. Right away, I fell in love with these characters. It was easy to sympathize with both Raleigh and Kyla for the situation they found themselves in. And as is usually the case with a fake relationship, it was also extremely easy to start wishing for everything to turn real. I’m kind of in awe over the clever solution to the centuries-old marriage pact that brought these two together. Now, I can’t wait to see what the Highlands have in store for us next.
