Gonna reread. Very sad but really well written, the dad is a walking red flag

Could have been so good. The story concept is great, but the characters and dialogue are extremely one dimensional. I found myself giggling at the silliness and predictability. It reads like a cheesy soap opera script. This story, if written with adequate depth of character and detail, could easily be the length of something like The Stand. Great story with the wrong writer.

A great read. This book was dark and fun to read. I’m a picky reader and have read this book multiple times already. I hope it becomes a tv show.

Truly terrifying!. This book is a rarity. It's one of the true horror stories you will read. At times you will have to put it down, just to get a check on reality. It draws you in that much. The characters are fantastic and you believe in each one. The moment the terror starts, it is just that, terrifying! Maybe more so as I am a parent, but I'm sure others will relate to the difficult and awful choices people make. Dilouie gets better and better with each book he writes. This one is a masterpiece of horror. He is up there with Koontz, King and Herbert. If you haven't read him yet, try this, you'll be hooked!

Unreal. So unnerving and shocking throughout. The ending is pretty unexpected and brutal. You just feel how hopeless the characters are throughout. Gotta be in my top 10 ever.
