Drugs and alcohol. I've read several of her other books and loved them, and the "sample" of this was really good, so I bought it. I wish I hadn't. It was all about alcohol and drugs. It was just too much. I've been through similar circumstances as Nova, so I know firsthand the emotions she struggles with. So my complaint isn't based off of ignorance. I also realize that several people turn to addictions to deal with pain. But I personally don't want to read about it. There was nothing in the book description or sample chapters that alluded to the drug and alcohol theme. I wish I had known b/c I never would have bought it.
