The Art of War by Sun Tzu Book Summary
Written over 2000 years ago, "The Art of War" is the first known treatise on the planning, conduct and stratagems of war. Sun Tzu displays a comprehensive understanding of human psychology, and expresses a maneuver or strategy for every possible situation relating to conflict, combat and preparation.
The clarity of the language and thinking displayed throughout the work has made it incredibly popular, as the basic principles are transferable to a multitude of modern situations, and in particular to business, where it has become something of a management bible.
Despite its venerable age, this text is still incredibly accessible and relevant today, and has remained high up on the "must read" list for many decades.
