Hope (less) to Oh Yeah- HOPE (FULL) by Cincy Kid 68!. This book started a bit slow but built to such a great ending that sets up the following sequence. Very worth the read and pulls u in with exceptional creativity. Really look forward to more of Melissa ‘s writing! (5) Stars 🌟🤩 JB

Amazing. Relatable and engrossing until the end. I hated the cliffhanger but I get why it had to happen. Don’t get why the second book doesn’t talk about the two people mentioned at the end though..

Good start. Loved the inter acting between characters when one doesn’t speak. Really liked Gabby making it her choice and she’s willing to help others.

I sunk my teeth in!. Wow!! I downloaded this book awhile ago, and I just finally read it. All of it. It less than a day. It sucked me in, and I sunk my teeth into it - despite my non-elongated canines. ;-) What girl doesn't want a Clay? Gabby deserves his devotion, and he deserves her heart!

Addictive Quality. Started reading the book on a whim and couldn't put it down. The story kept me enthralled like no other.

Wonderful read. Interesting plot and well developed characters. It held my interest to the end with a good balance of paranormal plot and a sweet romance.

Great. Not a lot of sex... but great book.. really good... all the way through.

Blurb-. Ths story was interesting developed well a good romance how ever now that ive read the entire series i was super disapointed with the ending

Meh, no thank you. I had to force myself to finish this book. I don't need the details of your time in the shower. I feel like there was so much insignificant details. This book dragged on forever, I kept waiting for it to get better but it never happened. The 'hero' is mute for nearly the entire book which I understand is unique but it takes away from the book. Ugh, even now it's hard to remember anything that stood out as memorable.

Not for me. Just couldn’t get through this. It just couldn’t hold my attention. It’s just not for me.

Excellent Read - Hope(less). 'A Beastly Tale' series by M.J.Haag got me here wanting for more and I wasn’t disappointment. I was captivated from the first sentence and the last one left me begging for more. It’s a fantastic start to a very promising series. I fell in love with Clay and Gabby’s story and the character development thrown in with revelations and mysteries along the way fueled my curiosity. Gabby, a gifted human, feels the 'Mate pull' for Clay, the werewolf, and is in denial but Clay doesn’t give up. Clay's approach to making Gabby realize that they are meant to be Together is a stroke of Genius. I commend Melissa Haag’s writing that Clay communicates so uniquely with Gabby throughout the book (not wanting to REVEAL the highlight) and endears himself to his readers. A Must Read!

This book.... This book has been AMAZING! I loved every minute of reading it and couldn't put it down! His reasons for not talking made me melt and has become one of my top favorite books

Loveeee. I was disappointed to see that there was actually 6 books and it wasn’t just all in one book but I finished this book in one day and the second one the next day and I’m on edge. I just want to quit my job at this point so I have more time to finish these books faster. It has you on edge the whole time. I love a good werewolf book and this one knows how to really hook you into reading the other books. Love it and I don’t doubt that every book is going to be amazing

Loved it 🫶🏽. I’m not much of a fantasy reader but let’s just say I loved this book so much that I’m going to start reading more fantasy novels ❤️

Hope[Less] USA unique take on werewolves!. This book is awesome, Melissa Haag writes awesome werewolf books! I have all her books so far, and have re-read at least 3 times each. Can't wait for the last book in "The Judgement of the Six" series to come out. I couldn't put these down & end up staying up all night reading. Highly reccomend this series!

Great but annoying. I loved it! However I wished there would be another book about Clay and Gabby… the other books don’t grasp my attention like this one did.

What happened!?. I was so involved with all of the characters and loved the storyline, but it just ends! I hate that the rest of the books in this series are based on different people whose lives randomly intersect with the other characters from this book, because it truly felt like Clay and Gabby’s story was just beginning. I surmise that they will have cameos in other books, but I want more of Clay and Gabby’s story in a part\book 2 tying into Luke’s story . It’s a really good book, but my frustration is so real and I kinda regret reading it because there is so much more possible! This is BOOK ONE, we can flashback later!

Hope(less) 💜. Fantastic start to this series. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Love Clay & Gabby. 💋

Should be 5 stars but…... I hate cliffhangers! The story was different and kept me turning pages. I enjoyed the bantering and all. Even though it had a sort of HEA the lead into the next book was basically a cliffhanger. For anyone who doesn’t mind those…….a great read!

Amazing!. Well written. The plot and character development is so good. Overall it’s definitely a must read!

Must read!. I randomly found this book. I couldn't put it down. Very intriguing & had action mixed with love story. I bought the rest of the series that's available. I loved that it's a clean PG series!

Wonderful!. Highly recommended, great writing. Who wouldn't want their own Clay? I never felt like a was just reading words with improperly developed characters, I felt like I was experiencing it.

Spoiler*. I just wanted to let you guys know that the other books in the series are connect! They are all from other girls points of views but there are a lot of the same characters and even cameos by main characters from other books.

Finally - Decent Characters!. I am very impressed to finally find a book with characters who have depth, and personality, and who are relatable to! The story line is also well developed and engaging (a polite way to say that I struggled intensely to do anything else - like sleep - until I finished this book). I can't wait to read more!

One of the best!. I have read so many books that have no character development or depth, that after reading three books in the series your board and just want to finish to finish. This series is NOT like that! I could not put these books down for a minute. Haag knows how to write and develops each of her characters perfectly and leaves you wanting more. Don't stop after this book, keep reading this series, it will hold your attention!

The next Kelley Armstrong. Melissa Haag is a great fix for any Kelley Armstrong fan waiting for the next Omen’s book. Haven’t found a Haag book I haven’t liked. Clay and Gabby are the perfect start to a fantastic series.

Great shifter romance!. When i bought this book i wasn’t expecting a lot it was mostly to kill time. Best decision ever! i found myself glue to this book. I couldn’t put it down! Its PG 13 wolf shifters romance which was new for me (I’m all about adult romance) but i was drawn to Clay and Gabby's story. I wanted more. It was very unique and different from other wolf stories. It’s a series! More to come!

Brilliant. Bought it as a freebie but was hooked the minute I started reading. Fell in love with clay was cheering for him to win gabby over in the end. 😄

Hope(less). Enjoyed this book as far as it went. Look forward to reading subsequent books when they’re free too.

New Werewolf Favourite. This book is one of my new favourites in this genre. There's no cliché alpha, mate story line or male power and dominance (at least from the main character relationship). The female power in a male run society is a great microcosm of what some woman have to deal with to day and stand up for. The relationship between the main characters is cleverly done, lack of words draws the reader towards Clay. I loved the new twists on the normal Twilight romance between Werewolf and human that made this story so much better. Would advise you to read, it's free and worth your time. -S

Up and down. It took me a while to get into this book, but by the end I was engrossed in what was going to happen next. There were a few plot holes, and sometimes it was very rushed - such as when it skipped two years of the main character’s life, right at the start. And during this time it’s unclear where she lived full time. Alone maybe? (possible plot hole) Anyway, I enjoyed the gist of the story and it’s uniqueness in her special power. But I probably won’t read the next book as I believe it’s written in the perspective of another character entirely. This kind of leaves Clay and Gabby’s story at a dead end without them fully forming a relationship, which was a bit disappointing. In saying that, it’s an easy read - even though I often disagreed with the main characters actions. So if you like the blurb and want another soulmate/werewolf/fantasy story, then you should give it a go!

Great new series. I read Clay’s Hope first and went seraching for the rest in the series. Realising that I should of started with Hope(less) I grabbed it and dived straight in. I loved this story. Gabby is a great lead character. Even though she does what Sam asks of her, she does it on her terms. Clay doesn’t give up on Gabby, even in parts where my heart felt sad :) Great first book in the series.

Mind numbingly beautiful !!. This book is so so so heart warming ... I wanted to be a part of this life :) the whole book was soooo captivating And omg I am so In LOVE with CLAY ❤️❤️ The only thing that I didn't appreciate was the ending... It was ABRUPT. I mean if u write a book with such heart and love ... but because of some silly reason ... U just leaving the story totally hanging .... It's not right ...!! Please avoid doing that ... Readers like.a closure to the story and it hurts when all of a sudden ... There is no proper ending to the main character's story . Other than that... U have a beautiful talent ... Keep writing :)

Was okay. It was pretty good some of it I got a little lost in the explanations of stuff. Could be a bit more romancey but it was still a nice read and a little different from other werewolf books I’ve read

Hope(less). Amazing book! Literally couldn't put it down. Can't wait to start the next one.

Great story, great writing.. Loved this book, read it in 24hrs. Couldn't put it down any longer than to feed myself. So don't expect to get anything else done once you start! It is very well written felt like you were in the conversation, even though Clay didn't talk much, Gabby's dialogue made up for it. Just about to read Clays Hope as a previous review poster suggested. Werewolves paranormal has not been my choice of reading previously, this is my third book and I am enjoying the genre. The author has a wonderful literary style that flows throughout the book. Thoroughly enjoyable 👍👍👍

Not brilliant but ok.. This book is slow start, to the point that I'd given up reading it, until I read an excerpt in Refuge by Karen Lynch, years later and became interested again. It was from 4 chapters in and was at that point it started to get interesting.

Love the first book not the series. This book it great. Fun and upbeat with a little danger to keep it edgy. I really looked forward to the rest of the series but it became very serious and lost a lot of the humour and playfulness this book had. The Author said we would see more of Hope and Clay and their continuing story in the other books but I was left disappointed. Sure we briefly see them but I expected more. I did enjoy Clays point of view in her complimenting book as it completely changed the feel of the story once you understand his perspective. A must read if you read this book. The author does complimenting books for each guy’s POV but they don’t feel necessary or impactful like Clays did. Just a basic re-read, almost felt like a copy and paste job. As the series went on the characters seemed to all have the same fundamental characteristics and the story’s felt repetitive. The plot drags far to long and had me itching to jump pages. The take away- great book, not so great series.

Read it now!. I am picky about books, I want sweet romance with a little suspense and no love triangles. This book hits all the marks and then some! I picked it up on a whim and couldn't put it down until I'd read it cover to cover and downloaded every other work Melissa Haag had written. Do not miss out on the start of a great series and as soon as you finish this book? Go read Clay's Hope!
