Butterflies in Honey by Willow Summers Book Summary

Krista has settled into her new job in L.A. gloriously, moving up the ladder and earning a great reputation for herself. But since she and Sean parted ways, she has felt like half a person; a shell of the girl she was when she left San Francisco. It isn’t until her job takes her back to San Francisco that she sees him again, the one that got away. It’s like looking into her soul as she meets those startling green eyes again. She realizes, without a doubt, that she still loves him as much as she ever did.

Sean has spent the last couple years working like a demon, achieving and reaching for the stars, but with nothing to look forward to. He let his salvation walk away, and let his own fears and problems keep him from going after her. When he meets her again he is plagued with his love for her, thinking that she has moved on. When he finds out she still loves him, he decides to make matters right, and finally go after her.

It isn’t until the two are working together again that they realize true love is a winding road that comes at a cost. Sean and Krista will not only struggle with trust and obstacles to be together, they must face the landscape of the company they now work for, an establishment that promotes men over women, and that threatens to pigeonhole Krista from the get-go. It will take the two learning to fight together again to overcome and triumph. True love isn't easy, but when it's earned, it's forever.

good series. it was a good series, made me laugh and cried..the ending was way too fast I just wished the author didnt focus much on the retreat that is so may chapter too skip but when its time to focus at the ending it was fast..I read another series from the same author and it was the same ending..I want to read about the wedding and everything but the author fast forward always to years on what happen...gave it four stars for the two books and third book is like four stars..

Great Story. I don't usually write reviews but I loved these books! The story was great and believable from the beginning to the end. Well done!

BUY THIS TRILOGY.. I had a three day weekend off work and decided to take advantage of my time off and read. I got this book and immediately started reading. Before I knew it I bought the other two books. This trilogy was PHENOMENAL. I could not put it down, reading late into the night (or wee hours of the morning before forcing myself to put it down). Unlike many other romance novels, they weren't raunchy and the build up to the beautiful love they share went so far in character development I really felt that I was right there with Kate, Jasmine, and Ben and that I was just another part of Krista's circle of friends. The third book is getting some heat about the ending in the reviews but I didn't feel like it was cut off abruptly and I'm not really left wanting, I think that it can definitely end right where it does and still be an awesome series (although I wouldn't complain if there were more books). Definitely an awesome author and definitely awesome books.

Fun Read!. I love this author's descriptive style. The management team weekend activities had me laughing out loud. The friendships seem realistic and I find myself curious to read more about them. Well done!

Awesome. Love the book series from this author !

Read the series. I read all three books in a week! Really enjoyed the authors humor and storyline . There are parts that drag a bit and there are some editing issues at the end of the third book but overall a believable and funny story. I enjoyed the journey. I wish though she continued more with some if the side characters .... Maybe another series involving Tory daughter - just a thought . Anyway enjoy!

Sad to see it end!. I really loved this series, it was everything a modern romance should be. Intelligence, struggle, forgiveness, and a love like no other. Thank you for a great read!

Worth it!. I really enjoyed the serie... Specially Krista and her friends! Great story.

Great series!. Although the ending made me feel like being pushed out of a moving vehicle abruptly, I loved the series as a whole. Read all 3 books in 2 days, so I now need to catch up on my housework. That's how engrossing it was!

Great!. Great ending to a great series. The ending felt a little rushed, but it was still thoroughly enjoyable.

Great series. The series was honestly a great read but this book's ending was very rushed. It's capability of being an amazing book was compromised by the abrupt ending.

Love it!. I love each character of this book specially Marcus, lol! I truly enjoyed reading the series.

Okay. I read the first two books and thought they were great, but something felt disjointed with this one after about midway. I wouldn't say it has a bad ending, but I definitely enjoyed the writing in the first two books much better.

Engaging. I was hooked from the first book, and the remaining two certainly did not disappoint. With a series like this, you are both ecstatic and depressed after you read the last page. You are happy about that amazing story you were just thrown into and sad that it is now over.

Great Books. I have currently read the first two books and am looking forward to the third and final book. This author takes time to investigate and reveal each character in a way that leaves you feeling like you know them each personally. These books are much better than the usual love story, which usually has me bored quickly. I enjoy the other aspects of the story as much if not more than just the usual boy meets girl type of thing.

Really good. Best book series on romance I've read in a while I've cried a few times in book 2 and 3 the ending was blah but it was ok cuz I was in love with the characters and was happy they got a happy ending

Worst book I ever read in my life!. The first book is the worst of all. Uninteresting, boring, filled with unnecessary details about work. The characters personalities were all over the place, not keeping a real homogenous trait. Depending on what scenario they might be, the so called author change their views and way of seeing things. Unable to fall in love or identify with the characters. The main character krista, is a so called geek, when in reality the writer portraits her as an alcoholic. The book storyline is good, an abusive boyfriend, a handsome guy and the girl. But it's not only on the third book that gets ok. Book 1,2 really bad. Writing is seriously bad. I enjoyed my 4 yr old book more than this.

Amazing!!. This book was awesome will be reading again

Great series!. Loved all 3 books. They are a must read! There are some editing issues throughout and the ending to the 3rd book ends abruptly. I still loved them though!

Growing Pains series. I read this series & Jessica Brodie series all in 3 days!!! Could not put them down !! LOVED THEM !!!! Want more !!!!

Must Read. This series is a must read, she has great character development, laugh out loud moments as well as tear jerking. It was written amazingly and of course the ending leaves you with a blissful smile!! Can't wait to read others!! Thank you for the journey!!!

Great read!. I came across the first book in the series because it was free and I am so glad I read it and bought the other two. Breene definitely takes her time with her books. They are longer than most books and at times feels slow but it's only because she is so thorough. I felt every emotion from all the characters! I laughed and cried and laughed some more. I absolutely loved this series!

Loved!!. Wow I absolutely love, love this series!!! I didn't want it to end. I would love to see this on screen but it would never be as good as the books. I can't say enough how much I love these books. The dunking booth in book two was absolutely hilarious. Great reads!!

Good series. Enjoyed this series, too bad Sean is a douche. Krista is way too understanding about his sexcapades and his excuses about how he's improved his technique. It actually almost made me want to give up reading the last of the book when I read that, it was bad enough how he acted in the first book towards women. The books were good anyway and am looking forward to Cassie's story at the end of the year.

Awesome!!. Finished all 3 in just over a week!!! Such a great realistic story! Very well written! I felt like I was watching a movie... Love it! Loved all 3!

Wow. I'm really impressed with Willow Summers, she's getting up there in my fave authors list. This series was fantastic, felt in slight mourning once I had finished them, wish I had paced myself. Although the ending was always going to be predictable I wouldn't have wanted it any different way. All the characters were likeable, I loved how strong willed krista was and to be honest she's hilarious, had me laughing out loud a lot, even with her bad history in the book the author never wrote Krista to be the weak naive woman as you so often get in these kind of books . Sean came across bad at first in the 1st book but you quickly learn to love him. 10/10 for me, I'm sure I'll reread :)

S.v.clarke. Fantastic series. Finished all in 4 days left me wanting more. Can't wait to see what read other books by this author.

A brilliant set of books.. I can honestly say these books have been such amazing reads. I enjoyed every chapter, every page, every minute. I finished all three books in 3 days. I grew to love the characters, the more you learnt about them, the more you admire them. It isn't just another love story, it's some what powerful. Although written lightly and sometimes hilarious, the underlying issues and lives of the characters really leave you thinking. Krista is an amazing character her strength leaves you feeling proud. Her past is heartbreaking and her ability to move forward is inspiring. The character Sean, also was a pleasant surprise. There was a lot more to him other than his looks and sexy charisma. The books are really well written, as I said some parts were hilarious and some had me in tears of sadness. That is what we look for in a book, an emotional connection, a personal connection (well it's definitely something I look for). The development of bravery, love, friendship and understanding is created beautifully. I will definitely be looking out for more from this author. Trust me it's worth the read!

Butterflies in honey. The last installment did not disappoint! This trio is a must read!

Growing pains #1,#2 and #3. I loved the first book and couldn't think it would get any better until the second book, it had the most unbound less love for two characters you could read. The friends they had. Were ones you wished you had yourself and the sadness and loss of one another was really felt. Just as I thought the third book wouldn't have any more of a story to tell as they had been through so much on the first two books the #3 book was awesome. My heart went through sadness and elation for Both characters as it ripped through the book. I loved all three books a lot and would highly recommend them for anyone to read.

Butterflies in honey. Very disappointed with the final book in the series. Totally fluffed out by recounting every word spoken, every movement. It made the characters irritating and unbelievable. The fact that she was unliked in the workforce repeated time and time again to the point I gave up reading which is something I never do.

Great. Loved this series of books loved the characters and the humour

Butterflies in Honey. I'm gutted I've finally come to the end of this series. I loved this book, it made me laugh so much, the weekend away for team building was brilliant. I'm a bit sad it has come to an end, glad I read these books! 👍👍👍

Not so good!. Read the three books and started off well but ended not so well! Felt the author was being paid on word count and this took presidency over actual quality of story. It was predictable repetitive and just got annoyed with the main characters!! What a let down.

😴. I really liked the Jessica Brodie series, so assumed this would be great also. It was just to much "work" and the characters all seem overly concerned with Krista's career. The balance for me was off in this one. Felt like a lesson in work ethic's rather than romantic passion.

Growing pains series. I absolutely loved the growing pains series. It was humorous with very lovable characters. The content was delivered at an excellent pace until the end of the story were I found it was rushed to be finished. It skipped over many issue that would have otherwise been more in-depth. I also found that within this rush that Krista's character changed and was inconsistent with what I came to understand of her personality. Other than that it was a story that I couldn't put down.

Butterflies in honey. I read all 3 books in this series, and enjoyed them all. I loved how the story line continued effortlessly from one book to the next. Really great read.

Butterflies In Honey. Wow, what a wonderful series. Took me a while to get into the story line though once I started at the first book I could put down til I read all three. Humorous, witty and funny characters with occasional potty mouths. Has you in tears, laughing and smiling with the strong and amazing people. Would recommend to everyone who likes romance.

Loved it. This book had me cracking up laughing & totally engrossed, couldn't put it down. The whole series was fantastic. Big thumbs up to the author!!

Loved it. A bit slow to start off with but couldn't put it down half way through the first book. Hilariously funny & well written.

Author name change. Loved this book but got a little confused with the author name change during the series changed from K.F Breene to Willow Summers

Marvellous. Love the story and Marcus is hilarious. Totally recommend to read.

Loved it!. I read this book at least 3 times now!!

Amazing. I was actually sad when I finished the 3 books! I could not put them down and read them all within 2 days. I hope the next series that I'm about to start is just as good!

Love it. Super super sweet ;)

Butterflies in Honey. Great ending to a great series. Loved all three books!

I would’ve read this over and over again.... I absolutely loved this book! I laughed, I cried, I laughed and cried some more. Well written, relatable characters, beautiful story. Escapism at its finest, will definitely re-read!

Butterflies in Honey (Growing Pains # 3). Wonderful ending to a long journey to be together...Sean and Krista.
