😕. I was really looking forward to this book and I was really disappointed that it ended so abruptly. We waited about a year for this book to come out and I was expecting it to be longer. I realize the author has other books to write but I really love this series and would have been willing to wait a while longer if she would've just made the ending better. Hopefully the next one will be better 😕

Deus Ex Machina anyone?. What a disappointment! Clearly a rush job. Half the typical length, same price. Complex situation wrapped up in a minute by serendipity. Shame. I was a fan of the others.

😁😁😊😊😁😁😉. I’m reading the JJ Graves series. I love the books and how well the stories flow so smoothly. The characters are wonderful and very believable. My only complaint is about the editing. There are a lot of mistakes that sometime effect the story and make certain scenes confusing. Like when “he” should be a “she” to give an example or in some places even missing a word all together. Reading this series is an excellent way to spend your time!!!!

Dirty Shame. I was absolutely riveted to the J.J. Graves series and couldn't wait until the 4th book (Down and Dirty) came out. The only two problems I could say about the series is too much repetitive descriptions of the town and its building locations. The second one being the Down and Dirty leaving me wanting more! What about J.J.'s father? I'm truly hoping the author will continue with this series as I believe it to be worthy of another book in the series! I found great humor in all the main characters. Cried at the losses for them as well. Great captivating drama, suspicion, and story line. Overall I would highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good mystery with all mentioned above with a bit of humor thrown in to keep the reader wanting to read just to find out what happens. Great series, but I do hope to see a 5th book in this series about J.J.'s father and perhaps some more mystery in the small town of Bloody Mary!

Let down. We wait months for this book then it comes out and it's only 150 pages and as soon as it starts it was over. It's like she gave up in the last book. There's barley any details at all and it's so rushed with barley and ending. What an awful let down to a great series.

Down and Dirty. Sad that I wasted my money. Loved the previous JJ Graves novels, but this one stopped too abruptly and too soon, like Liliana Hart just decided, "I'm done now." So many missed sub-plot opportunities with the whole Dept. of Justice angle. Coitus interruptus.

Good read but ended quickly. I will admit that I read the reviews about this book coming to an abrupt end and I agree for the most part. I read the JJ Graves books in just a few days because they were so good I couldn't put them down. My only hope is that there will be another book that has JJ reflect on her wedding to provide more details and close things up with her father. This can't be the last book! That would be the biggest disappointment. It was a good read and I'll read these four books again.

Not very good. It's probably not fair to write a negative review on this book when I did not write a positive review on the others, which were pretty good. This just seemed like a lazy effort: short, most of the story was about the wedding and not the case and the conclusion was wrapped up in a page and a half. I expected more. After this, hopefully the JJ Graves series will be retired because it seems it's tiring to the author. On a positive note, the first three books in the series were all page turners.

Great series!. The last few chapters seemed rushed. However, I enjoyed the comical and loving banter between the two main characters.

JJ Graves Mysteries. I had never read anything from this author before but once I read the first book in this series, I did not stop until I had finished all four. A good read!

Glued. I have to say, I started reading this series less than a week ago. I have already finished the entire 4.5 books in the series!! I couldn't put my iPad down. I was addicted to the characters and what was going to happen next. I would love to see more of these! Thank you Liliana Hart for your writing skills and making me feel as if I was there with them.

So disappointing. I have read the other books in this series and enjoyed them. Was looking forward to this one but it is so disappointing. The ending was completely rushed plus it's about half the number of pages that it is advertised. Don't know if I will continue in this series now....

Down & Dirty by Liliana Hart. Another example of what Ms Hart does so well--weaving a tale of love around mentally wounded characters & their struggles. I love Jack & Jaye, especially the sassy banter between them. I've read this entire series now & have enjoyed the mystery but feel like this 4th installment concluded too abruptly. For me, it needed more intrigue before the killer was revealed.

Excellent. I love the J.J. Graves series. This author is incredible. I can't stop reading. On the fifth book and then I'm gonna read her Mackenzie series looking forward to that. Definitely a great read.

It was okay. I love Liliana Hart's books, but this one wasn't written like the rest. It seemed as if she rushed to finish the book, Almost like a student rushes to finish a paper. The story was getting interesting, but BAM the culprit was quickly apprehended. I was also looking forward to the wedding, and there was little detail behind it. I don't know, this book didn't live up to its expectation.

Seemed to end hastily. I have really enjoyed all the J.J. Books but this one is super short compared to the others. It felt like it just needed to get done so it just sort of ended. There's usually more to Hart's writing than this story offered. Overall I like her but this one wasn't great.

Loved the series, but disappointed.. I was expecting another great mystery story in the J.J. Graves series and was disappointed by the rushed storyline and epilogue. I also wanted honeymoon action, to figure out why her dad is running, what happens to him, and I wanted Jaye to meet Carver's wife. It feels as though the author was rushing to meet the pre-order deadline. I wish there was more to this.

J.J. Graves series. Love these books! They are well written with good story lines, and I absolutely love J.J.'s sense of humor.

Very boring. The beginning , middle and the end was very boring . No good parts . To much information all at once and very rushed .

What happened!. The book was just getting good and, BAM, it ends!!! Why the rushed ending???? Very disappointing.

Disappointed. I loved the first three book in the series but this one was a total let down. The ending was rushed and there are so many unanswered questions that I can't help but to feel a little gypped. I'm not sure if I will continue on with this series. Total disappointment because I love the characters and really wanted to see what married life was going to be like for them.

Not Equal to Pre-Ordered. What story there was was pretty good. However, ending was rushed. Actual book did not match preorder story description and final book length was more a novella than a full book. With the bait and switch on story and length pre-orders should have been giving some sort of rebate. Will not make the mistake of doing another pre-order for books by Ms. Hart.

Disappointing. I loved her other books in this series so I pre-ordered this one. It had obvious spelling and grammatical errors, the story seemed rushed and too short. Not worth the wait on the pre-order or the money. Very disappointing.

Ehh. I LOVE this series. I’m just a bit disappointed with this specific book. It wasn’t as long and felt like the author just had to put something out. The story didn’t have as much to it as the first few books. I’ll keep reading more and hopefully it gets better!

Absolutely Dissapointing. I'm flabbergasted, like other reviewers, on how unbelievably rushed this book was. I am the type of reader to be a fan for life but after this book, there's no reason to continue this series. I'm genuinely disappointed at the lack of creativity and thought put into the book. Two thumbs down.

Skipped right through the end. Basically skipped right through the end of the investigation when they finally caught the bad guy. Then flew right through the wedding in a short epilogue when them getting married was mentioned more than anything else in the book! Like could’ve at least took the time to write some sappy lovesick vows.

J J Graves mystery. No answer to her family's mystery? Really disappointed!

What happened?!. I have read all the J.J. Graves books religiously. They're the perfect balance of crime, suspense and romance. The ball was definitely dropped here. It was rushed at the end which almost seems like a waste of a book. This relationship has been building up over three books and just when we finally see them getting together for their happy ending it's over in two pages. What happened is the only way to describe this book. I really hope she does another one ASAP bc I'm severely disappointed with this one!

worth the wait. I’d been waiting for a whole year to read this book and when I saw the ‘ready for download’ notice in my email this morning, everything else took second place. So I spent my day with JJ and Jack. The story is slightly lighter and less complicated than the previous installments, but it still delivers all the intrigue and humour you need. there is no obvious push for a fifth installment, but there’s clearly something huge still left unsaid. So pleeeeease Ms Hart… can we have some more of the same?

Good read. Thanks Lilyana. Have just finished the third book and enjoyed every one. Just disappointed that we have to wait so long to get the fourth book! Love the characters.

Expected more.. I loved the first three...expected more...this story seemed rushed and incomplete. Like a deadline had to be reached and then all the loose ends had to be quickly tied up for a quick close.

THIS CANT BE THE LAST. This is my absolute favourite book series BUT I was so disappointed that this book was half the length and not as complex as the story and crimes in the other books. PLEASE make one more I don't want it to end and WHAT ABOUT THE DAD?! We never found out what the story is behind her dad's appearances! Please please please make another!

Lacking. I loved the first three read each of them twice but I found it predictable. Still a good read because the characters are so amazing

Down and Dirty. Very disappointed. One third of the book consisted of the actual story line. The other two thirds were padded by everything written in the first two books. Not worth buying.

My new heroes. Until now Jack Reacher (Lee Child) has always been my main man hero and Jane Eyre has always be my heroine in literature, but Jack and JJ have taken their places in my heart. They are both real grown ups which is unusual in most modern books. The fact that they communicate so well is wonderful as I really dislike stories where the main characters spend two thirds of the book not being honest with each other about things and this being the main focus of the book. The fact that a policeman and a coroner can work together and then have a private life together also is such a terrific idea. The story lines are very absorbing and "un put down able". My only criticism would be the endings do seem slightly hurried. Liliana Hart is a terrific writer and I will be reading more of her stories. Looking forward to hearing more of the lives and work of JJ and Jack.

Can’t put it down!. I read all books in the series in a matter of 1.5 weeks (a personal record). The suspense of the stories and uncovering the mysteries really kept things exciting. Not to mention the chemistry between the main characters. Normally I would be turned off at the first notice of grammar/spelling errors but I enjoyed the story so much that I could not put the books down. Now I wish that this series does not end with this book. Thanks Liliana Hart!

I want more. I loved reading this book series, J.J. Graves is an awesome character and so is Handsome Jack. I want more of these I'm sad it's ended. I hope there will be a fifth book at some point. Got hooked from being able to read the first book for free on iTunes. Nothing more fun then romantic murder mystery.

JJ Graves Mysteries. Great series....keeps you thinking throughout the book. Can't wait for the next one!
