Must Read. This book is amazing!

Excellent read. Funny. Relate-able. Witty. Enjoyable. Casual. Interesting. Entertaining. Insightful.

Meh.. This book is ok. I wouldn't buy it. Just borrow it from a friend or the library. I LOVE Amy Poehler and was really looking forward to this book. It's scattered, and a lot of it is uninteresting. Also, I'm not sure why her editor let her use the word "ambivalent" so often and so incorrectly. Spoiler ahead--the part where she talks about her time in Haiti is beautiful and moving and makes the whole thing worthwhile. Read "Girl Walks Into a Bar," "Bossypants," or "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" before opting for "Yes, Please!"

Time well spent & fun to boot.. Amy is a smart & kind writer, who tells a smart & kind story about her life. She makes you wish you had her as a BFF, then reminds you that she carefully guards her privacy & her space. Oh, well. She tells just enough details about her early life & family of origin to let you see that she grew up in a modest, loving, & fun home. Too many books spend multiple chapters on the early lives of their subjects -- if not generations of their ancestors -- and they are always, 100% of the time, boring. No exceptions. Amy does a nice job of giving you relevant information about her early life sprinkled throughout the book. Amy's intelligence, tender heart, & sense of humor are all on display in this well written book.

Enjoyed this book. So entertaining, real and hilarious! I loved it until the very end! I have now become a bigger fan of amy poehler.

Good Book. Entertaining book, though it lacks a purpose and appears to have a lot of filler information.

Blah. For the record I love Amy Pohler. She's a brilliant and hilarious woman. But I hated this book. She constantly complains about how hard writing a book is. Reading about complaining about writing said book is annoying. All in all I was pretty disappointed. Sorry Amy.

Amy had my entire heart forever. If you didn't think you could truly love and appreciate amy any more.....

Amazing, empowering and funny. I enjoyed every page of this book. I learned something new, cried and related to different stories. I think it was beautifully written and it left a positive, honest and vibrant imprint on me.

Would I read again? Yes please!. I already had been swept off my feet by Amy Poehler's acting but now along with her writing! As I embark to my sophomore year of college I wanted to read more, but also enjoy what I read this this book. Read this book. It's relatable no matter who you are. She's awesome.

Insightful. Amy Poehler's book is insightful and wise. She is funny but more importantly, her writing makes you feel less alone with your thoughts and feelings about the world. But who am I to say anything? My phone made me write this. ;)

Really self indulgent c$$p. Yes, I bought it and read much of it. I must say the author, no, let's call her a writer, or scribe, knows a lot of famous folks. Though I never figured out why I should care. It's not remotely funny. If she sat next to me on a plane, I'd claim nausea and get the next plane. Think about what sort of person thinks everyone wants to read a book they wrote about themselves. See what I mean?

Thanks lady :). Thanks for writing a genuinely awesome book. It makes you realize how lucky we all are. Sorry for buying it in eBook form, Amy. I forgot my reading material at home, so I bought it on my phone at the airport.

Wonderful, clever, insightful, funny. If I thought I loved Amy Poehler before, it's nothing compared to now. I'm pretty sure I highlighted half of the book because she had written something particularly funny, or have good advice. I was hoping it would also help me deal with knowing that we're losing parks and rec soon, but really it's just making it more difficult to say goodbye. Great read, great author. Go get that pudding, Amy!!

Yes Please!. I loved this book so much I read it twice. I literally laughed out loud while sitting with strangers so they pulled their children closer to them and furrowed their brows with concern. šŸ˜

Good. I liked how she writes and how intimate she gets with her audience, all of us. Sheā€™s been one of my favorite actresses ever since watching that first episode of Parks and Recreation. Great work, Amy Poehler.

PR Hype. This books success seems like PR hype to me. Boring and narcissistic.

Yes Please. Awesome book! I laughed so much! Amy's down-to-earth honesty and real life advice is wonderful. You will really enjoy the ride with her and wish you knew her in person.

More? Yes Please!. I've always loved Amy because she seemed like the kind of girl that would have a beer and a laugh with anyone. This book proved even more that she is just like us (besides the supremely superior sense of honesty and humor). I found her relatable, lovable and REAL. A great read for sure

Yes please. Great book. Amy is funny as always and talks about her childhood and getting her start into comedy in Chicago and finally moving to NYC.

Good Casual Read. Yes Please! is written in a very laid-back, loose format - totally skimmable if you want to jump between chapters. It's sometimes funny, sometimes dry, but gives a few cool insights to Amy Poehler's career and antics with SNL compatriots. There was too much complaining from the author about how hard it was to write the book, and a few obvious content cop-outs (sections written by other people) but also a few wonderfully written nuggets about life.

Good read. Just read it, it's good!

Love Amy and this book!. A fun and insightful read!!!

Amy is funny. I have only seen Amy a few times on SNL and recently hosting with Tina Fey, who is also hilarious. Bravissimo, Amy. I am 60 so I didn't relate to some of the material, but the book was a diversion on a recent flight and I laughed many times. Thank you. Here is to your continued success!

Love it. This is a great book and made me appreciate Amy Poehler even more (if that is possible). She is an incredible person.

A great read. Thank you for sharing your story. Sure writing a book is hard work, but you make it look easy. I will recommend it to many friends and long remember it.

I could hear her voice as I read. And I loved it.

YAASSS!! PLEASE AND THANK YOU!. Thank you, Amy. I burned through this book in a few short days. I had moments I went back to check and make sure I still had enough left. I panicked when I realized I only had a few pages. I felt A) guilt, for purchasing and ā€œe-bookā€. I want to feel the pages. I want to write notes. I want my tears to stain the pages. B) slightly okay with it, because you so elegantly included those same feelings within. You made me cry happy, sad, gracious, and inspired tears. You reminded me what it was like watching you while I was growing up. You gave me some of my childhood wonder back. You gave me wisdom, reassured me I wasnā€™t crazy in some of my thoughts/views. You let me hear your voice when I read this. I havenā€™t heard the audiobook (is there one?), your way with words just bleed through the pages in sound. Your choice of quotes are delicate and bold, in the best ways. I could go on, but I feel like Iā€™m a broken record. Anyone who reads YES PLEASE can feel your heart in each letter. This was truly a delight to read, I canā€™t wait for more. Thank you, Amy.

Hmmmm. Some chapters were great, but then she let me down. Sorry Amy, but you told me too much.

Start Reading!. What a great read! I didn't really know what to expect starting out, but I kept turning the page with a growing appreciation for Amy Poehler. I have already recommended this book to my friends!

Awesome!. Like the perfect date-engaging, personal, real, wise, and funny!

The best read. This book makes you realize there are humble famous people. Iā€™m not one to say all famous people are full of themselves and Amy is the only one who isnā€™t, but this book proves that we have real people on our screens and itā€™s not ā€œrealityā€ stars. Thank you, Amy, for being an inspiration on so many levels. I will recommend this book and any others you choose to publish.

Thoroughly entertainingā€¦. ā€¦ but more. Reading this book was an absolute joy. We know Amy Poehler as a comic actor, so the laughs were expected and appreciated. It was the candor that really moved me about this book. Every word was heard in her voice. Every word read as honest. Every word felt chosen and genuine. Every. Single. Word.

Yesssssssss. Please. Thank you.

Made me appreciate an actress even more. Besides Amy Poehler being her normal (I cannot find an appropriate way to describe how much I appreciate her comedy and the multiple levels of comedy involved in everything that she does; I'll go with hysterical) hysterical self only the author of a biography can capture the true irony in everything that she has to say. Every chapter made me laugh and think equally. Her chapter speaking to all the actors and actresses on Parks and Rec made me rematch the show from start to finish on a weekly basis. Every time I watch the show now I appreciate the talent around it. This audiobook, besides being perfectly entertaining, has made me appreciate the people around her. It's a truly amazing work of art.

Save your time.. Save your money. This book is a waste of both. What a disappointment.

I'm Amy Poehler. Look at Me! I'm Famous!. ...and kind, funny, real and beautiful. Ms. Poehler makes us laugh out loud all the time. Is it any surprise that a glimpse into her life is just as entertaining? Sure, it's not a work we'll be studying in Great Lit AP classes in the year 2115 (or is it?), but it's a sweet read into what it must be like to be Amy. You get the sense that you know her and that she'd make a great neighbor, friend or co-worker. She has certainly made a fine read.

Yes, Please!. I appreciate how honest you are, Amy! Keep writing, and I'll keep reading.

Yes Please. Nice read. Amy is very likableā€¦Refreshingly down to earth.

Yes Please!. I truly enjoyed this book. It was a light and easy read (just what I needed) I felt truly emerged in her life stories. I so want to say I was imagining it to be funnier. But Amy's heart felt out pour of who she is compensated for it. There were true moments of reflection and I appreciated that. (Also something I felt I needed). So great job Amy, you did it!!!

Amy is my hero!. I love Amy Poehler so much, I hope she's my real mom. This book is a real treat. funny, sassy, beautiful, all the things that is Amy Poehler is now in this book. I love it!!!!

The Best.. Amy Poehler is my comedy queen and this book just proved that more! I was surprised at how well she related to all different stages of life with her advice. I have the hard copy and the audiobook and I frequently pick both up and just re-read. Highly recommend to everyone!

Amazing!!. I loved this book. I love Amy Poehler and read this book and get to know her as a regular person who struggled hard and for a long time to get to where she is today was so inspiring. Have great respect for her and I hope she writes another book!!!!!

Down to earth. I absolutely loved "Yes Please" Amy Poehler is so down to earth and covers ever aspect of the peaks and pits you go through in life while remaining honest and sincere. I highly recommend this book as it gives you perspective and makes you feel content about life not being as "perfect" as you may have hoped!

Say yes please.. Loved the book, lots of laughs, tears, and wisdom,

Donā€™t cry, sexy. I became non-friends Amy Poehler through Leslie Knope, whose character has made me laugh and smile and cry through some difficult times. I want to blanket-thank everyone who brought this character to life and to me. This book was a treat, and I highlighted the crap out of it.

Yes please. What I loved about this book is it is like having a conversation with Amy Poehler in person, as she acts out every character she has ever played. I rated this book 4 star because some content is not for every one and I can only share this book with friends who are Amy Poehler fans, others would not understand.

I Do Not Read. I am not the type of person to ever read books in my leisure time. I created a goal for myself to read a book before summertime. I was looking online and found this book on a whim. Let me tell you that I have never laughed so hard out loud in public. I knew that Amy (yes I am using first name basis because after reading her book I now feel like her best friend) was an actress but I was unfamiliar with her work. If you're like me and are not familiar with her work, read this book anyway! Amy's writing style makes the pages fly by. This book contains great life perspective and useful advice. I am extremely sad that it is over- I came close to tears- but thanks to this book I am now going on to read another book (which is big for me!) Thanks Amy!! šŸ˜€

Awesome.. Yup. She's an amazing writer and I loved the entire book.

Yes please. Luv luv luv luv loved it!!
