Requiem's Song by Daniel Arenson Book Summary

Weredragons, men call them. Monsters. Cursed ones. People who can turn into beastly reptiles.

In an ancient world just rising from darkness, they are everywhere. Some wander the plains with clans of mammoth hunters. Others are born in riverside huts. Some live across the ocean where seafaring tribes are discovering the secrets of bronze and writing in clay. Everywhere their curse is the same--people who can grow wings, breathe fire, and take flight as dragons.

And everywhere, they are hunted. They hide in forests and caves, dispersed. Many are alone, unaware that others exist. They are shunned, afraid, dying . . . until a group of these lost souls binds together and stands tall.

A blacksmith in a world of stone tools. A mammoth hunter exiled from her tribe. A traveling juggler and a wandering warrior. An elderly druid and an outcast prince. They are weredragons. They are cursed and hunted. Together they will forge a new tribe, a home for their kind. A dawn of dragon rises. The nation of Requiem is born.

Requiems by Daniel Arenson. Exquisite details surround the magic of each dragon portrayed in the first book of this series. I'm eagerly awaiting to download the next book to continue the war against the daemons and dragons. It's going to be a thrilling adventure with my hot popcorn and ebook beside me. KSW

Kind of boring. In this book there was the same kind of plot like run hide and fight as well as some really gross and inappropriate sentences in the book.

Vicious villains. This is the most brutal book I have ever read. But the brutality leans in favor of the bad guys. Hopefully the good guys will become as vicious in the sequel.

Book lover. This book has kept me on the edge of my seat/bed and I hope you have enjoyed the book as I have.

Captivating!. I could not put this story down, I got mad, I cried, I fumed, cried some more but loved every minute of it!

Fantasy. Battles. Degradation.. Searching for family or for enemies. Resolve to build. Intention to destroy. Hate. Yearning to belong. It keeps on ticking. The story needs cutting and tightening. I didn't find it either satisfying or enjoyable. Others might.

Requiem’s Song. This was an enjoyable book. Great plot, Great action. Yet there were some things in the book which made me a little uncomfortable. Still, it was well worth the read.

Lamentably Dreadful. Poorest excuse for writing I’ve ever slogged through. I really would like to rate it with half a star.

Incredible Works of Art. Such a phenomenally refreshing take on dragons and ancient times. Add in the remarkable writing style and you've got a lifetime fan here.

Ummm?. I’m just tired of the weakness of these dragons. They’re supposed to be stronger than man at least

Theese books are awesome. I love the series read them all long books but you like them so much they go by quick

I've Read Better. So far, making this short and sweet, this book here is about how it all began with Requiem. And so far, it's been the same old, run-fight-then hide kind of stories, also there are quite a bit of scenes in the book that are a bit too gross. Sentences are somewhat a bit better, but still too short, not to mention that he uses the same few words now and again, and that I noticed he uses -way- too many commas. Character descriptions are coming along well too, where I can actually picture what they exactly look like. Though with the villain in this book here is kind of like the same old psychopath like in the "Song of Dragons" books, which don't get me wrong, I am one of the few people that like a good dark story, but this here is becoming a phase to me. It's just the same old thing like in all of the books that I've read. Run, fight, hide, then find more survivors which will probably die pretty quick in the books as well. Overall I do like the story idea, but this is really becoming repetitive, and I do hope Daniel Arenson will step up his game if he's willing to make this another short trilogy. I know he can do it, if he's trying to be like George R.R. Martin.

Very rapey and disgusting. Accidentally read this book when I was 11, no warnings for the content. Thanks for scarring me. Book was obviously written by a man. Many graphic rape scenes. I hate this book with a passion, how did it get so many reviews for being “good” go read a real book with an actual plot please

Really good. Love this

Captivating. I love dragon lore, but I do get bored of the same old legends being rehashed. Requiems Song has not let me down! Such a brilliant story with a strong narrative. It was fast flowing and at times narrowly skirting the border of horror. It really peaked my interest! Can't wait to read book 2!
