Beyond Irritated. Never have I actually fully read a series and been so irritated, bored and underwhelmed with the storyline and characters. And when interesting characters were finally introduced they were barely apart of the story or killed off without a second thought. I found this to be poor writing where the author was more invested on a teen romance that was more annoying than sweet, and writing a 12 year old character year as if they were 5 years old which was confusing. All in all it was fine at best and really can’t see the hype.

Best yet. This series is fantastic. Of all the YA dystopian fiction this one takes the cake. I won't spoil a moment of it for you. Enjoy.

Bad ending. I felt that the ending was to fairytale like for me. I’m not trying to spoil anything so you’ll just have to wait and see. I might just be too mature for the series but the whole series was like jumping off a cliff and then landing on a pillow in a world of rainbows and unicorns. I’m no longer interested in what happens next. I loved this series but the main character is just so stupid. And Liam is too perfect for a story like this. But then again I might just be to mature for the series. The only character that was worth any time and interest was Clancy, you’ll see what happens to him ( it’s stupid).

Fantastic conclusion. Everything built up in the previous two books comes to a powerful conclusion here. A lot of slow building in the first half or so, but stick with it because trust me when I say it’s worth it. Ik people complain about a certain choice the author makes, but I actually think it adds a lot of extra depth to Ruby and Liam’s characters. No spoilers, of course, but the ending is super wholesome and I found it very satisfying. I’d actually give this like 4 3/4 stars, but can’t quite do that lol. Just like the last two books, highly recommend for YA Dystopian fans. Thank you, Alexandra Bracken. Can’t wait to read the novella and epilogue.

YES YES YES. The ending of this series wrapped up so so nicely. Still heartbroken about one of the major character deaths and didn’t understand why it was necessarily vital to the plot and conclusion. However, this book was my favorite out of the three. I am so so happy I decided to dive into this trilogy:)

I would fistfight Alex Bracken in a Denny’s Parking Lot. I respect Ms Bracken so much. She’s an amazing writer and this is probably the best semi-dystopian YA series I’ve read. I loved the character development between TDM and ItA, and I think the setting and worldbuilding were really realistic. Nevertheless, I’m super angry about [Redacted]. It was sloppy and not something that such a talented author should have done. [Redacted] was clearly for shock value, which dimmed the importance and gravity of [Redacted] in Never Fade. Despite this pointless choice, this was still an amazing read and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind some swearing in a book. Cheers!
