To Kill A Mockingbird. a true classic! I loved this book!

Beautiful classic. Must read!. The first time I ever read TKAM was back in 8th grade of middle school. It’s been almost 3 years since then, and I’ve read this book three times in total. To Kill a Mockingbird written by Harper Lee takes place in a fictional town of Maycomb, Alabama during the 1930s when the Great Depression occurred and racial inequality was a huge issue. Lawyer Atticus Finch teaches his children Jem and Scout the reality to racial discrimination, proper morality, and better understandment of people. I love this book for all sorts of aspects. This book uses great diction, although it’s understandable with context clues. This helps me improve my own writing. Additionally, I admire the characters, especially Atticus. He is a prime example of a qualified human, who acknowledges flaws yet does not show any sign of prejudice towards it. This helps me with my wellbeing and puts critical thinking upon my own morality. This book contains a lot of suspense too with the children’s fabrication of Boo Radley. Overall, I admire this book and it’s no question to why it’s a classic.

Loved Every Word. I’d never read this book and so glad I finally did. The characters came to vivid life and so much to learn from the child’s mind. Beautiful yet sad funny and a book that will be added to my favorites of all time.

Boring. Was forced to read it for school over summer brake. Hated every minute of it as I already could see the ending coming.

Boring. Will it’s just not intending at all, but some people do. But to me it’s a boring book. Also most of the kids in middle school and high school hate this book. The book is just so dry and boring. Just don’t ever start the because you will never finish it.

This Book is A Living Hype Train!. As many high school kids probably have, I got this book assigned for my English class. I had heard of this book a couple of times, and many have stated that it was one of their all-time favorite books and an instant classic. And I could not be happier to say that I 100% agree with them! Originally, I thought I was going to easily lose interest in this book, as many kids my age do. Call me an old soul, but this book easily is in my top three favorites of all time and I plowed through it in about two weeks! This was definitely the best school book assigned to me that I have ever read! I loved it so much that I even got my own personal copy so I could read it over and over again! You won’t regret it.

Best Novel I’ve ever read. A classic from the late 50s

Boring. Parents make me read this during the summer, the first 5 chapters were boring so then i said i would read to chapter 10 and that if it didnt get better by chapter 10 i would quit. Guess what? I have no idea what happens after chapter 10

A Masterpiece. This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. My friend let me borrow her copy, and I was hooked. The majority of the book gives off a calm, summery feeling that you got as a child whenever school ended for the year. Many of the characters are likable, the plot line is intriguing, and the writing is beautiful.

Great book. Those who rated this book poorly do not understand the historical context of this book. A truly revolutionary book for its time, 5 stars.

Eh. It’s fine, but not “classic" material

Gross. I hated this book so much. Who cares about some little kids! The trial was horrible. What does a mockingbird have to do with this book. The people aren’t even trying to kill a mockingbird!!

To kill a mockingbird. This is a hardy 7th grade book. Also a good book two read in your spare time.

Why is it banned?. Most inspiring! At almost 70 I finally picked up this book to read. Incredible the way Ms. Harper was able to hold a mirror up to my face so I would have to look inside myself.

Boring. Not the best book. May teach many good lessons but isn’t appealing in anyway. Extremely boring and uninteresting.

To Kill a Mockingbird-14 yr old perspective. I have never had a book hit me as hard emotionally as To Kill a Mockingbird. This book challenges your mind with countless hidden messages and the many political issues facing the reader. I have never been this emotionally impacted by a novel, and I encourage everyone to read it.

beautiful book. to be honest, i'm surprised by how much i love this book. it's a little hard to follow at times because of how it's written, but nonetheless, it's amazing. thank you to my english teacher for making the class read it :)

Amazing. I loved this book. It’s the story of racism, brutality and more told from the perspective of a young child. This is a book that makes you think, ponder. I highly recommend this book to everyone. (above the age of 13)
