Worst series I have ever read!!!!!!!!. This is the DARKEST “romance novel” I have ever read!!!! Nothing romantic!! It was absolute horror!!!! Dead babies in the worst way you can imagine!! Dead teens!!! DO NOT READ THIS, you will regret it! Something is seriously disfunctional about this author!!!

Intense!. I struggle with giving this 5 stars. You see, I'm all about the romance in my books and if I had to rate this for romance, I hated it. Take the romance out, it deserves all 5 stars. I'm kind of stunned with what I just read. I've said in other "cartel" book reviews how real it felt. I was so wrong. This one was real. This book was so real it hurt to read about some of the things that happened. In fact, I'm kinda horrified and yet all I can think about is how it was brilliantly written. I don't even have words for how this book ended. There should be a huge fat warning for everyone about to read this book series. This book series is far from safe. It's dark, raw and gritty! 👍🏼👍🏼. Like this book had me on edge so good gosh I want more. I read this in book so quick cuz I couldn’t put it down!!! Literally at work 🤫. Basically Mariana is such a fighter. Johnny boy so tender 😍. Dornan gosh him too with his evil self I was so torn but I still love that character al of em!! I wish the gypsy series was avail here 😩🥺 now what to read

? 3 or 4 stars. This was 3rd & final book in the Cartel trilogy (thank goodness). I decided on 3 stars for a couple of reasons- first is because I hated it & second because I think it shouldn’t be in the “Romance” genre- more like a horror. In my review on the 1st book I wrote that it wasn’t the “darkest” mafia type story I’d read, but now that I’ve read all 3 in series I can say this is the darkest I’ve read. I’m not a fan of horror- but if u like delving into the depraved, psychotic, violent side of humanity, & are ok with just a (questionable) whisper of a HEA then you’ll probably like this series. It is well written & tension-filled- just don’t expect any warm fuzzy feelings.

Couldn't put it down. LOVED every line. This is one of my favorite series. Doran I loved and hated him. I was happy with the end and if you read the other books this is different than I thought but so much better.

Cartel. Loved it

Love this series. I was generously given an ARC. I started the Cartel series from the beginning so when it came to the Empire book, I had to skim and reread the other 2 just so I could have the continuity. This is definitely an edge of your seat story esp since I have not read the Gypsy Brothers series. From what I gathered, Dornan is the villain in the Gypsy series but in the Cartel series the reader gets to experience his evolution into this villain. And since I didn't read the other series, Mariana and John's story was a surprise. Mariana is such a strong character and I feel for her.......and I definitely feel for John, talk about being trapped! I was really conflicted about Dornan.....but Emilio...he was evil personified! This series has a it all and I can't wait to start the Gypsy series!

Brutally fantastic. The second book in the series was everything I wanted it to be. It tied up all the loose ends through the other book. I wanted a happy ending for Mariana after all the suffering and loss but it was not to be. I wanted her and John to walk in the sunshine and have the happily ever after. It gives you everything you wanted and then some.

My PG rated review! Holy Crap!. Lili you have done it again! I purposely paced myself reading this book because I didn't want to be done in the gypsy brothers world I cannot imagine what it was like writing it... I have loved everything about the gypsy brothers series! I am a full on lover of Dornan Ross and found myself not hating Mariana because I love her character but I just wanted to scream at her to just get over it and stay and love him! I would totally be the Bonnie to his Clyde in every way and I am not ashamed to say so! The ending was perfect! Still showing Dornan has a heart no matter how evil and dark he is.... There is a small part in me that hopes you come back and write more about the gypsy brothers world and I will be first in line to order. I will return to this world over and over again until my books are as worn out as Mariana was in the end! I am a huge fan and will read anything you write!

Disappointed. Ending left me feeling disappointed

Meh. The ending just left you with more unanswered question just when you think it's over. Truthfully quite disappointed

Greatest books I've ever read. I have never been so invested in a series! These and the other seven tell the story amazingly, I felt like I was really there. Congratulations to the writer on being so creative and can't wait to see the movies!
