A helpful introduction also tells you the history of Sherlock Holmes. This is the only Sherlock Holmes compilation you will because it includes everything.

This is probably the best version you’ll ever get. I’ve been looking for the ebook version of the complete Sherlock Holmes collection that includes all original illustrations. This is the one that satisfies me the most. Many thanks to the publisher for bringing quality content to ebooks!

Fantastic illustrated version. There are many many versions of complete Sherlock Holmes mysteries on the iBooks store. However, this one includes the original Sidney Paget illustrations plus cover pictures of the magazines that the short stories appeared in. Reading Holmes with Paget’s illustrations is as essential as reading Holmes with a splendid cup of tea and biscuit. There have been so many TV and film adaptions that it can be easy to forget the look and feel of the definitive Conan Doyle creation, and therefore I highly recommend this version. This package also includes a chronological index of stories in the order they were written in and the presumed timeline that they occurred in.

I started reading Sherlock Holmes during my holiday a few years ago and I have certainly never regretted turning that first page. Witty, clever and dangerously addictive, it is a pleasure to read such astonishing fiction.
