Awesome. Did not see that ending coming.
Engaging. That ending….
Moriarty-ending disappointing. Couldn’t put it down until the end, it could have been better.
Memories. Well done.
Worthwhile. A worthwhile read for those who are ardent fans of the original Holmes books. I felt that the "House of Silk" was a bit stronger, but I also appreciate how Horowitz is bringing interesting and exciting new plots, yet trying to be true to the original style and genre of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Excellent Read. I loved Conan Doyle’s pre-Spiritualism writing, and this is a really good follow-up to that body of work. It’s grittier than most of the Sherlock stories were, but it still fits. This, and House of Silk are worth multiple reads. (And it’s a nice thing to pass driving time, reading it to one’s spouse.)
Saddest ending ever for me. I cried for 10 minutes because of that ending
