Fairest is amazing!. This book is one of the best books I gave ever read. It is incredibly well written and you get to see how Levana became the villain we all know her to be. When I read the last line of the book I felt chills go down my spine. Marissa Meyer thank you for writing these incredible books and you should totally write a book about Kai’s parents and their story. Thank you so much!!

Good not great. This story is a good addition to the series, but it feels more like a filler to me. It’s well written, but not nearly as interesting is the rest of the series.

Good... But Levana is so crazy she is scary. Okay. This book was amazingly written (just like the rest of the series). I couldn't put it down. The only thing that made me want to stop reading it was how crazy Levana really is. I won't give anything away, but she terrified me. Levana is sick and twisted. Like I said, the book was amazing, but also horrible.

So, so, so sorry 😑. I've loved reading the lunar chronicles so far and I couldn't help but look at the other reviews. #1, if you think this book has no plot, that means you've read one or none of the original series. #2, I can't help but imagine what the movies would look like. So, sorry for the 2nd review, but it needed to be done. 😒

Uhh. I like it a lot but really deep

So thought provoking and deep.. From the cover, this looks like another one of those corny witch-is-the-good-guy-actually books. No. If you think that, you are seriously wrong. This book is full of terror, drama, insanity and tragedy. It is a tempest of feelings. While also seeing the good side of Levana (that most don't recognize from the other books) you realize that it all came from the tragedy and gore she saw as a child. She knows it is bad. She recognizes her own insanity and evil ways. Very thought provoking and sad. Drop whatever other book you are reading and read this. You will feel so full of knowledge. Trust me. "Love is a war. AMAZING AS USUAL!. THIS IS MY FAV SERIES AND I AM SUPER EXCITED FOR WINTER! Sad ending though. 😔😄😉 Amazing book (as usual) and I am so mad because I won't be able to get it until Christmas. I CANNOT WAIT THAT LONG! I am Lunar Chronicle deprived! If you haven't read this series: GO READ IT NOW! FORGET ABOUT THE BOOK YOU'RE CURRENTLY READING.😆

Psycho alert 🚨. This was wayyyy darker than I expected annnnd it had the biggest plot twists, it’s kinda like a fairytale and horror at the same time.

Well written.... This novel makes me now understand Levana better, but in my own way, just saying warning. Fairest was depressing and I hate Levana for her foolishness, that’s all! Though I like the whole main reason of the story and how it all comes together to make the future protaginist a present protaginist. Though I would advise you readers to be carefull with the inner content in the book, just to make you aware.

Not my favorite. This was not my favorite book in the series but it did shed light into just how twisted levana is and where there all started. You could read the series without reading this book but it also adds a little more clarity to a few things from the other books in the series. I always enjoy the making of a villain story and this story is as twisted as levana is!

Best of the series!. Where the main books in the series are a fun read, this side story is focused and poignant. The characters are the most human, relatable and endearing of all the novels. While there is quite a bit of tragedy, and more than a little monstrous behavior, the subject matter is spot on for what I immediately imagined when thinking of teenaged girls with the "powers" from the series mixed with the privilege of royalty. Levana's story is as horrific and enjoyable as any you're likely to come across. I can only hope the author finds a way to share more of it in future books.

SO GOOD. At first I pitied Levana….. But now she’s just pure evil. I don’t understand! It’s terrifying! Why……😱😦😰 She killed her own husband!! Why?!?!

Great. Of course, it's well written - but the whole plot breaks my heart. It's such a sad book and know I have such conflicted emotions for Levana. I don't think I ever stopped crying throughout the story, although I did enjoy the bonus excerpt of Winter.

One of my favs! (Levana is crazy, I love it). I love dark/horror books so this was totally my vibe! She was a sad little girl hidden behind her sister’s shadow, but then became a psychotic ruler. We all love a good villain origin story 💪🏻 P.s. Levana is my fav villain of all time 💕

😬. I loved reading this book from Levanas point of view,but their wasn't really a plot. OK book overall and excerpt from Winter was great
