话说混沌初分,天地为两仪,日月星辰为四象,山川草木,飞禽走兽,数不尽的万物,生于其中。即人亦万物中一物,只因人灵物蠢,人有知觉智识,能言善语,故配天地为“三才”,乃最灵者。以本来原有个正大光明的道理,自生来在孩提时,混混朴朴,未凋未漓。光明一理,包含五内。及至长大成人,知诱物化,邪魅外侵,本真内凿,把个大道丧失。所以万圣千真,立言行教,只要人克复本来,见性明心。这克复的何事?明见的何物?就是为臣的,既受皇王官职,尽心事主,忠义报国,大道何等光明!乃有一等,贪位慕禄,希图富贵,惜身家,不顾国。哪知根本既坏,枝叶终伤,后世子孙宁保不坏?为子的,要思身从何处来,乃父母生育。且说那十月怀胎,三年乳哺,何等深思,孝敬不违,劳而不怨,大道何等光明!乃有一等为子的,贪妻爱,纵私欲,不孝双亲,哪知天鉴不宥,王法无私,报应却也不小。为弟兄的,应该念父母血脉,同胞生来,弟敬兄,兄爱弟,何等光明大道!乃有一等,争家产,为钱财,视弟兄如陌路,待手足如寇仇,哪知天合的弟兄既失,人合的财产怎长?为夫妻的,阴阳配偶,子孙相承,相爱相怜,何等光明大道!乃有一等,贪淫纵欲,弃旧怜新,憎妻宠妾。更有淫妒妇女,不守妻节,败坏风俗,多有性命不保。为朋友的,要知德业相劝,过失相规,大道何等光明!乃有一等,势利交,酒食友,处富贵亲如手足,当患难视如路人。哪知天道好还,灾难莫测,谁为救恤?这五伦道理,正大光明,人能永保不失,自然邪魅不侵,灾害不作,福善资身,以完全生人道理。便是圣贤仙佛,也不过克全了这道。少有所失,便入邪宗。后有清溪道人五言八句,指出克复光明要法。
