Ah-Freaking-Mazing!!. I don't know how JR does it but her books are incredible. Usually when you get to the end of a long series the books start to be not as interesting as the first. That is so NOT the case with J.R. Ward! She's an amazing writer and just when you think her books can't be any more incredible, she comes out with another. They just keep getting better which doesn't seem possible because they have all been so great! I have to constantly remind myself that this world isn't real! I don't know how Ward does it but I feel like if she ever stops writing I will be devastated Lol! Keep up the amazing work!

One of her best. Good, emotional story. Only gripe is that the only two black characters get asked questions like "how you be?" And come from cannibals who sacrifice their young. Cue huge eye roll. Stereotype much?

Best of the best. By far, the best book of the series's. I could not put it down.

The Shadows. Simply amazing....this particular segment in the lives of "The Brotherhood" was so poignant that I found myself tearing up occasionally. So many threads left for the future of "The Brotherhood" I cannot wait for the next installment!

Devastation. Great writing as always, and I love the continued return of all the familiar characters, but pure devastation, I was not prepared...

always awesome. I have to say that J.R. has delivered a very heartfelt book. One of the best book in the series. All of the characters were in or at least mentioned here. I love when that happens. Still some loose story lines but thats what makes it great because we know J.R. is still writing the BBD series!! Looking forward to the next two!

Wow just wow.. I loved loved loved this book but hated it at the same time. Lol (in a good way). My heart breaks for Trez. I have always loved the two brothers and couldn't wait for their book. Now I'm sad it's over. My hear breaks for Trez for loosing his mate but I am happy Iam got his happy ending. Just wished Trez could be happy too. This book is great. It is one you can read more than once. I can't wait to see more of the brothers.

Did not disappoint!. JR Ward did it again! I love how she writes. The way history, culture and traditions for different races can mix in the same series is amazing. I also loved the spotlight Rhage got in all of this. It was interesting to see the brother's POV of the whole issue and problem. Thank youuuu JR Ward. Keep it coming.

Interesting - warning *spoilers*. I didn't particularly like the mish mash of stories (Trez, IAm, Rhage, Layla, Xcor) but the death and aftermath were handled brilliantly. That alone made me give this story an additional 2 stars. I miss the writing of the earlier stories which had me from the beginning to the end. My advice, keep it simple.

Loved This One. It was cool getting to know Trez and iAm in this one. It was also cool seeing the amazing integrity and honour Wrath, the brotherhood have. The end is a real tear jerker, too. This book was also different from the previous books in the series. I’m really hoping the second half of the series continues with this shift. The books really stand out from each other this way.

Bring kleenex. Bring kleenex, or, in my case bring a hose…

Be ready to cry, laugh and be anxious for the next one. This was an amazing continuation to BDB. The relationship between Trez and iAm is so touching. I read this book in one weekend because I couldn't put it down. Everything about the story was amazing. You will not be disappointed! I can't wait to see what the future holds for Trez and the rest of the brothers.

The shadows. J.R. Ward delivers another fantastic read. I'm already anxiously awaiting the next peek into the lives of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

O M G. I haven't read it yet, BUT I have all 13 other books and they are AMAZING!!!! Can not wait for this one!!!

Prepare yourself. Wow!! The best book in the series, by far!! Have a box of Kleenex ready! You will love all of the Brotherhood & then some, even more!

Good. Not as good as the others, sex parts were more 'pg' then what they have been. Still leaves lots of questions. Now I'll wait an other year for the next one

This one struck me. Loved it!. Each book in, the deeper I fall for each one of the characters.

Beautifully written. They mentioned John Green in this book and they were right. The best most beautifully written book JR Ward has done so far, but I cried like a baby. Must-read!

Tear jerker. I rarely ever cry while reading, but the character development in these stories is so good that you have to be sad with them. Really good but complex story. I'm not a fan of so many story lines but maybe that's what makes me look love these books. I do have to wait until life calms down before I start one so I can concentrate and focus. Probably why I got so emotional.

The Shadows. Wow what an emotional roller coaster! I loved it and can't wait to read the next installment in this wonderful series.

JR Ward Does it - YET AGAIN. Man, this woman knows how to tell a story, with how many characters? And you get SUCKED in every time! I had read some Facebook comments on JR Ward’s page and saw 1 sentence that led me to think of how it might end, so I somewhat expected something - but great story.

Awsome!. As always Wards books are amazing and this is no exception. But it is the sadest book I read from her. And as always not all questions gets answers so you know there will be more to come. So read, enjoy and cry. Thats what I did.

Great read....didn't go how I thought it would but still great. Read all the her others on the brotherhood and I was excited for this one because I wanted to know more about the shadows. She didn't disappoint. She did make me cry a lot in this one than any of her brotherhood books. I guess you get a little emotional when you read it so beware :)

Absolutely Gripping!. Didn't go like I thought it would at all, but I was completely enthralled the first chapter in. I have never cried from a book before, but I did here more than once. I love the BDB series, but this book was probably the most emotionally capturing one yet.

The Shadows. This book was all lacking. It introduced characters, then dropped them??? The Shadows are not as deep as the characters in the brotherhood. What is going on with Rhage??? Layla?? That is the only reason I kept reading. I really hope Ms. Ward goes back to her rich characters, Lassiter mayhap????
