If My Heart Could See You. I really enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it to those who like a lot of romance entwined with a lot of adventure, evil plots, heros, villains, and others! The characters are presented well and come to life quite easily. The story flowed very well and there were no “dry spells”. Only a few grammatical misspellings. It was a somewhat long book, but was never boring at all, and there were natural breaks that made it easier to put it down and go to bed! Not a book I could have read in a day! I think it was better that way, for I found myself thinking of the story and “savoring" the characters. Again, I really liked the story and would recommend it.

Great Storyline. First I’d like to say that I really love the cover of this book. Sherry Ewing is a new author to me. And while there were some things in this story that were not plausible the overall story and storyline was very good. I would certainly read other books by this author. Both Amiria of Berwyck and Dristan of Blackmore were interesting characters I found myself liking. Amiria is is strong and brave and her goal is to take care of her people. Dristan is an honorable, strong yet capable of gentleness knight in service to his king, King Henry II. Their journey to happily ever after was frought with anger, fear, passion and emotions. I enjoyed the story but it did have some editing issues that were a bit distracting but was still an enjoyable read. Thank you Sherry for this wonderful story.

Please learn how to use apostrophes!. Apostrophes are for possession, not plurals! Story line was possible, but the incorrect grammar and word choices were very jarring.

Absolutely loved this book!. Strong-willed female meets conquering alpha male; only he doesn't know she's a woman! Twelfth century restrictions have no hold on this female - she wears britches and armor, can skillfully handle a sword, and keeps her alpha male on his toes. A great mix of romance, suspense and humor. You won't want to put it down!

You Must Read This Book!. Not everything is how it appears. You will understand what I am saying when you read this book and you must read it! If My Heart Could See You by Sherry Ewing is book 1 in The MacLaren's series. To be honest this is the first book I have read of Sherry’s but I can tell you it won’t be the last and I am so looking forward to reading book 2. Sherry has such an amazing way of writing the littlest details so that you get the full picture and story. Her characters are just wonderful and you can’t help falling in love with them as you travel back to 1174 Scotland’s border. This story has betrayal, evil, greed, death, battles, capture, jealousy, kindness, duty, understanding, rape, forgiveness and yes love. What a great read! I highly recommend this book you won’t be disappointed. ***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.

Beautiful. A story beautifully written!

If my heart could see you. Brilliant read stepped back in time,the characters were great,felt as if I was right there with them full of action and romance.

If My Heart Could See You. This is a wonderfully entertaining tale of conquest of a Scottish English border castle in the 11th century. It has heartbreak that brings you to tears at the same time that the characters rise from the ashes and get on with life with a new liege lord. Especially in the border lands this happened many time with transfer of ownership. The story revolves around the love that develops between the conquering English dragon and the feisty red-headed Scottish lass. The characters being you right into the story, making you feel you are there. Can’t wait to read more about these characters and see what happens to the others. Well done Sherry!
