Best book ever!. It was amazing! The fact that she could die so many times is just astounding.

Great story. Loved the fascinating story line!

Supernatural thriller but not cheesy. Shrum does a respectable job :-). Find out for yourself, it was a fun diversion. This is 2nd book by this author I’ve read (different series), and I’ll be reading more.

Pleasantly Surprised. I was pleasantly surprised by Dying for a Living. At first, I got it simply because I saw it was free to download and honestly wasn't expecting much. I was proven wrong. This book is fantastic, with little glimpses of greatness and social awareness. The main character is snarky and funny in a way that should feel overdone but somehow comes across as fresh and genuine. Plus (spoilers) it's always nice to see the lesbian live for once.

Amazing. This is a book worth reading. I download it just for curiosity but when I finished it I didn't regret I did that in the first place. At some point can get a little crazy, even absurd but it has this crazy cliffhangers that leaves you breathless. I'm ready to read the other two books of the series.

Not for me. This had an interesting concept but never got into it with understanding till a couple of F words. That did it. Didn't finish.

Couldn’t get into it. Liked the plot concept, just could not get into this book. Took me almost a week to read and usually I can easily finish 1-2 books a day.

Something new. I enjoyed this book. The writing was colloquial which made it easier to read. The death replacement aspect of the story was interesting because it was unique. I couldn't give this book five stars though because it has no ending. I hate when books in a series don't actually end.

Hard to put down. The story is fast paced and doesn’t stop, so makes for a good read. The plot was interesting and fairly unique.

Dying For A Living. An excellent book that is spellbinding at a minimum and mesmerizing, at best. The basis of the story, death replacement and life restoration, is a unique and entertaining tale written by an excellent author.

It had everything you could want in a Para-Normal story and more,keeps you guessing the whole way through snd just when you think you have it, you don’t. If you are looking for a fun easy reading tale give this one a try I am certain you will just love it.

Amazing book!. This book had me hooked from the start it’s got everything romance action and mystery, I finished this book in a few days because I couldn’t stop reading it! I would end a chapter and had to start the next to know what happened definitely worth the read! 100% recommend this book!

Gripping. I read a lot of free series starters and the same stories seem to recur with just a few details changed. I can honestly say that this is an intriguing, well-rounded and written book with paranormal elements that I haven’t encountered before and fully realised characters that leap off the page. Truly worth a read!

Dying for a Living. Definitely Different! It took me a while to become comfortable with the thought of dying for a living - it is somewhat ‘way out there’, isn’t it. However, I was soon well and truly hooked and am now looking forward to reading the next book. Definitely Different and Definitely Recommended.

A Well Paced, Fun Contemporary Fantasy.. This is a really clever premise: someone who can die so that someone else doesn’t have to then come back to life a few days later. It was partially that, and having read some of the author's other work, that drew me in. There are plenty of twists and turns along the way that keep the reader wondering what might happen next. The characters are all interesting even if some are a mystery for the most part, something I assume we’ll get answers to later. It is a well paced, fun contemporary fantasy. Jesse, the girl that dies for a living, is certainly my favourite of the characters and I think this mainly because I can relate to her sense of humour and excellent use of sarcasm. For me this is a good book, not quite great, but most certainly good enough that I’m hooked on finding out what happens to Jesse in the following books.

Great book. Tried this book on a whim as I was intrigued by the concept. Author made the concept work and nicely developed the characters making you want to read the next one in the series. Throughly enjoyed this one and looking forward to exploring her other works.

Entertaining and pleasure to read. As a new mama, it takes a lot to catch my attention now and even more to hold it considering half the time I’m exhausted! But this book definitely did it. It was light, funny and it’s hard not to fall for the rag tag band of characters! Well worth the read, looking forward to reading more by this author, you know between naps and everything else!
