The Christmas Princess (The Wedding Series, Book 5) by Patricia McLinn Book Summary

❤ The toughest mission of his career… Her ❤
The Christmas season isn’t looking great for April Gareaux. Her job is uninspiring, her engagement is off, and she has nowhere to live. Certainly her family would take her in, especially Leslie and Grady Roberts and their circle of friends who have become her extended family. But it’s time she stops relying on them.

Then comes an extraordinary offer – spend the holidays in Washington, D.C., with King Jozef of Bariavak as his possible long-lost granddaughter. Even more extraordinary is the man behind the offer, who will be beside her through the coming weeks – diplomatic security agent Hunter Pierce.

This is the last assignment Hunter would pick. Determination and grit have moved him beyond his past in Bariavak. Yet, here it is standing in front of him again, refusing to be ignored. … Just like his reactions to April. How can he fight what he’s feeling when they’re together all the time?

King Jozef has known tragedy. Now comes this lovely young woman bringing joy to his holidays. How can he resist dabbling in some royal matchmaking? Wouldn’t it be delightful if he could give April a Christmas gift she will never forget … her prince for a lifetime.

The Christmas Princess is Book 5 of USA Today bestselling author Patricia McLinn's heartwarming and feel-good The Wedding Series. If you love moving, passionate contemporary romances with a touch of humor, this series will captivate you.

The Christmas Princess - great book!. I was hooked from page one of this captivating novel and didn’t put it down until I was done! Great characters with witty dialogue, descriptive details to make the reader feel they are there and a Christmas holiday romance with a HEA ending are just a few of the reasons I’d recommend this book to others! I think you’ll like it!

The perfect Christmas read. A witty intelligent romance with a hint of mystery and a dash of Christmas, this book captivated me with characters whose conversations and actions were realistic and captivating. I hated finishing it! In fact, I think that there is a still a chance for family connection with King Jozef and April...and I can’t wait to read that story!

WOW. Been some time since I have read such an absorbing book. Has many aspects: thriller, romance, intrigue and family. Loved it and just had to read straight through. Thank you Patricia!

Lovely story. I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It was well written for the most part but could have done with some additional editing in certain circumstances through the book. Overall, it didn’t take away from the story itself but was a bit annoying to see in an otherwise well written story.

The Christmas Princess. Excellent read with fun characters

Surprisingly good!. Often Christmas-based romances are sweet but predictable. As are royalty based ones. This story was anything but! I really loved it all the way through, and found myself grinning and laughing out loud, or cheering the characters on. The parts with her family were a little hard to follow because I hadn’t read the previous books, but this is still a true stand-alone because you see their intent and emotion, which is really what writing is all about anyway. My only real complaint is that the two main characters didn’t have enough time together at the end, making it feel slightly rushed. It was still well done though, and I didn’t feel left hanging, just wishing I had more time with characters who by the end felt like family. I’m certainly keeping this book around to read agin!

Lovely. This story dives deep into the characters introduced, and provides interesting twists, and lays the groundwork for future stories. Great pacing, and completely engrossing!

The Christmas princess. Loved it. Kept me guessing. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.

The Wedding Series Book Four. The Christmas Princess by Patricia McLinn The Wedding Series Book Four April Gareaux is fairly content in her life. If you can call being content being engaged to an older man who still lives with his domineering mother. A job that has her trying to convince the public what a great vegetable the Brussels sprout is, when she doesn't even like them. When offered an odd proposal by a man who says he can't tell her much about the offer, she is intrigued. When suddenly life around her starts to crumble, the offer may be the only solid ground to stand on. Special Agent Hunter Pierce is on a mission. He has to convince a woman to spend the next month living as someone she isn't. A princess. What should have been an easy mission becomes increasingly difficult with this woman. I loved this story and can't wait for the next book, A Christmas Surprise, that continues the tale. This can be read as a stand-alone book, but reading the first three books will lay the ground for many of the characters mentioned in this story, April's extended family. I loved the characters and the humor. **Sensual content

Eh. Wanted it to be good, but it wasn’t. There is absolutely no emotional connection. Couldn’t care less what happened to a single one of them and felt nothing between any of them either. Storyline is predictable and dialogue stilted. It was like reading a 12 year old’s book report - covered the salient actions but didn’t elicit the reason the story was told. Cold and boring.

Nice, layered storyline. Good storyline and character development. Grammatical errors detract from readability a smidgen, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

Classic Holiday Romance. This is a classic Christmas romance with intrigue, plot twists, tears, and a happy ending. Who could ask for anything more?

The Christmas Princess. It was OK, bit lengthy . Didn’t know where it was going. TY.

Heartwarming spice. What isn't there to love about a grounded young lady, a gruff man, and doting family ?

It was Ok I guess. Wow there was holes a plenty in this story and a lot of it was left to interpretation I felt. Then there was the lacking descriptions and the constant change of perspective. But the premise was enough to keep me reading to the end to see if there was any other last minute revelations.

Christmas princess. Excellent read. Enjoyed it very much wasn’t able to put it down.

The Christmas Princess. I loved the book didn’t want to put it down. I do have to say that the editing could be a lot better. So many misspelled words and not the right words that sometimes it was confusing and I had to stop to figure it out.
