Wired by Julie Garwood Book Summary

A beautiful computer hacker and a bad-boy FBI agent must collaborate—in more ways than one—in this sexy, suspenseful novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julie Garwood.

Allison Trent doesn't look like a hacker. In fact, when she's not in college working on her degree, she models on the side. But behind her gorgeous face is a brilliant mind for computers and her real love is writing—and hacking—code. Her dream is to write a new security program that could revolutionize the tech industry.

Hotshot FBI agent Liam Scott has a problem: a leak deep within his own department. He needs the skills of a top-notch hacker to work on a highly sensitive project: to secretly break into the FBI servers and find out who the traitor is. But he can't use one of his own. He finds the perfect candidate in Allison. Only, there's one problem—she wants nothing to do with his job and turns him down flat.

What Liam doesn't know is that Allison is hiding secrets that she doesn't want the FBI to uncover. But Liam will do nearly anything to persuade her to join his team, even break a few rules if that's what it takes. A temptation that could put his job—and both of their futures—on the line...

Great Book!. Everything about this book is captivating. The more you read, the more you become engrossed. The story line kept me on my feet the whole time. It was well written and had many events occur, which made me curious to what happens next. This book should definitely be on your next book list no matter the price, you won’t regret it!

A bust. This was a horrible book, the storyline seemed forced. Huge disappointment from a great writer

Wired. I wish it had more suspense. Otherwise it was a good read.

Wired. Julie Garwood always has the unique story that is sexy, funny, nail biting and relevant to what’s happening today, yet still a great read ten years down the road. “Wired” brings back Liam (yea!!), and the Buchanans and introduces a gutsy heroine in Allison. I’ll be rereading it next week (I’m not joking)!

Strong Female Lead. I love this book! I have read it so many times I finally bought but it. All the characters are well developed and the story flows so smoothly. I wish there was an epilogue about what life was like year later.

Wired. I loved this book! I couldn't get enough and am sorry I finished reading ! I wanted the story to go on and on.

Wired. I am 65 and male but I love Garwood books. What great fun to put yourself in the place of your favorite heroine or hero and no one does it better than Julie. I love to slow down my mind late nights with one of her fabulous books and Wired is no exception. The characters are what make it happen for me, along with a great story. Oh, the outcome may be somewhat predictable, the lovers always get together in the end, but what a fun ride! Sharpsville Sam.

Wired. Julie never disappoints! Finished the book in less than a day!

Smart woman, interesting plot, hot romance. Couldn't put it down

Simply the best writer. I love Julie Garwood! I have every book she has ever written, reread them over and over, and can’t wait for the next one! She is an amazing storyteller.

Wired. I absolutely loved it. The romance, funny at times and I can't wait to read another one of your books

WIRED. Very good read, a little intensness, a little humor & a lot of good love scenes ❤️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Don't bother. I spent $13 on this story and it was complete crap. I resorted to skimming the dialogue about half way through. The fawning, needy female role was ridiculous. Her character had such potential and it was totally wasted. The male lead was weak and his dialogue sucked. Save your money.

Wired. Didn’t want to put it down.

Wired. Exciting book with twists and turns. Great character development and storyline.

Steamy Stuff. But still Garwoods’ great details on feelings, too. She knows how to sell the sizzle!

Wired by Julie Garwood. Greatest author ever! Love this book! One of my favorites along with Castle and Lions Lady. Loved Mercy and Heartbreaker!

Liked it!. Need to read this again I finished the book within the 24 hrs after I bought it. I was so excited to read a new Julie Garwood that I probably skip something. It was not as engrossing as her old works, like the prize, the gift, guardian angel or her recent work like hotshot and sweet talk but it works for me.

Wired. This had to be one of the worst novels I have read. It was disjointed with no story line to speak of. I won't waste my money or my time on another Julie Garwood book.

Love Julie Garwood!. I loved that we got Liam’s story. My only comment I wish there was more dialogue between Allison and Liam regarding their feelings prior to the end.

Wired. I’m a fan of Julie Garwood and have read all her books. Really liked the characters in this book. The lady wasn’t vulgar and the man she falls in love with was a man you could love and you don’t find that often in romance writers. Great job giving the characters emotion without using language that makes me cringe. This was one of my favorites out of the series.

An excellent read.. Great!

Suspenseful!. I love everything Julie Garwood writes and when she comes out with a new book, I can't wait to read it. I enjoy contemporary romance with some mystery thrown in and that is exactly what you get with this book. While stories about FBI agents is one of my favorites, I have to admit, this one was disappointing. Something was off and I had a difficult time connecting to the story and the characters. Liam Scott works for the FBI and he asks Allison Trent to help him with one of the cases he is currently working on. Allison is in her last year of college and is talented with computers and very good at hacking. She is a nerd and is content to spend all her time working on her computer. Liam Scott is a macho, sexy FBI agent who has worked for the agency for years. He loves his job but it keeps him busy as he travels the world taking care of problems. Liam knows he shouldn't be attracted to Allison but can't seem to help himself. He is upfront with Allison and let's her know he would like to get together with her but isn't interested in a relationship. However, Liam confuses Allison when he wants to continue to spend time with her. Liam is older and hardened and is the opposite of Allison. He is attracted to Alison's youth, beauty, innocence and intelligence. He knows he should stay away from her, but he finds himself wanting more. Allison is not experienced in relationships and she doesn't want to fall for Liam but can't control how she feels. Allison is open and honest person and she does not play games. She is attracted to Liam and agrees to have sex with him but finds herself falling for him. She just isn't a one night stand type of girl. Liam is experienced and mature and Allison feels silly and young next to him. What she doesn't realize, is her innocence is what attracts Liam. Allison is sweet and it is easy to like her. I had a harder time with Liam. It bothered me that Liam acted superior and didn't share his feeling or information about the case with Allison. This story has suspense, intriguing characters, interesting secondary characters and there is a lot chemistry between Liam and Allison. Thanks to the author for providing a copy of this book vIa Cocktails and Books and Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

Wired. Really cute read. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Cute. I enjoyed it ..at times I would say come on & would skip some parts. It’s a nice book about a cop and hacker. I got upset when she didn’t defend herself to her aunt & uncle...but she finally did in the end.

This poor girl has WAY too many plots and all bad!. Give the main character a break! 1.) her ex roommate steals her program 2.) her aunt and uncle are abusive and stealing her money. 3.) her male cousin is a jerk. 4.) the actual main plot to the book. Too many side plots to this wonderful character it becomes muddy. I feel this girl is constantly being raked over the coals over and over and then another obstacle gets thrown at her. It is hard to keep up!!!

3 Stars!. I liked this book. It was interesting & kept my attention. This is the first book from this series that I've read & it works as a standalone. I wasn't crazy about the main characters, Allison & Liam. They were both too smart & serious all the time. And does Allison really have to be a computer genius & a perfect/gorgeous model? How unfair is that!? And Liam-does he have to do everything at the FBI, cause he's such a great agent?! Of course he is gorgeous too! And he is a top FBI agent AND a lawyer?! This book made me feel a bit awful about my life & how little I've accomplished-in comparison to these main characters! I did get a bit confused every now & than with the switching back & forth between the point of views & not knowing who is speaking or thinking something! I didn't like how it would switch from Allison's thoughts to Liam's or vice versa without any heads up. I'd love to know what happens to Allison & Liam after the book ends! The ending felt kind of rushed to me. One second I'm reading the ending & the next, I'm on a blank page! It was a good story just a bit unbelievable & it was hard to like such "perfect" characters!! *I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!*

Didn’t want it to end!. This was one of those “Can’t put it down” books. Loved the characters and the story line. Can’t go wrong with a Julie Garwood book!

No. Under developed characters with zero depth but they’re so incredible at what they do and smart and beautiful...barf

Fun and fast non stop action.. Fun and fast non stop action.

A page turner. I loved the story. It was a page turner and gripping. I couldn’t stop reading from cover to cover. It had action, great characters, and it was fun! Thanks for another great read, Julie Garwood!

Wired. I waited so long for this book and I am very disappointed. I have read every book you have written and while I was in school I waited patiently until spring break to read your latest. This, I am sorry to say, was by far the worst.

Wired. Great story hooks you in couldn’t put down.

WIRED worked for me.. WIRED worked for me. Wicked chemistry, strong but growing characters and I think its worth mentioning again...wicked HEAT sizzled between these characters. There was something in Garwood's presentation of her characters that made them real and compelling. I received this ARC copy of WIRED from Berkley Publishing Group. This is my honest and voluntary review.
