Not a complete book.. Don’t waste you’re time with this book unless you plan on buying the rest. This was advertised as a “standalone” but it’s not at all.

Kelly A.. It’s a good base plot, but the story is disjointed and doesn’t flow well. Also, her characters are interesting, but not well developed. Left me wishing for more information and a general feeling of “what the heck?”

Not worth the read!!!. I thought the story was good, but it was WAYYYYY too rushed and there wasn’t enough detail at all. I thought the book was RIDICULOUS and so unrealistic because of the plot and timeframe of the story! DO NOT READ!

Immature and unrealistic. I might have liked this book if I were 16. Storyline is super immature and unrealistic. They have all these big feelings have saying a combined like 32 words to each other over 3 encounters? The way the passion is written doesn’t match the reality. No thanks.

Dysfunctional Families and First Love. It’s hot and steamy, and so’s the weather! First love - going for broke - all or nothing! Complicated family matters aside, it’s a summer of love! I’ve found the second book in the series, it’s for years later, and I’m anxious to dive back in Juliet and Emerson’s story!

constructive criticism. Overall, the concept was good. However this book jumped from one place to the next and back. It was all over the place and could have been better and if the story needed to be longer so be it. I do like Juliet and Emerson together but to throw away her entire future over some guy she had 2 full conversations with the entire book and some hot sex senses?? At least let's be realistic. I'm also sad, the next book is 5 dollars. Maybe 1.99,2.99 would've been better. But 5.00? I guess I won't see if you're second book is good :/ .

No words, whatsoever. This literally blew me away. Classic love story: The town's bad boy who has never loved meets a girl who changes his life forever. Sad that it may not last that long...

Great novella!. "Because that’s the thing I didn’t understand about fate: there’s always a moment when you do have a choice...It’s an act of faith. A miracle. But you have to decide: give yourself up and surrender to a force far greater than you will ever understand, or turn and walk away—live the rest of your days safe on dry land..." I really enjoyed this prequel! If I thought I loved Emerson before, I fell even harder for him this time around! To those who have read Unbroken (and if you haven't, you should), this short story outlines what happened between Emerson and Juliet the summer they met. I loved how we got more insight into Emerson's home life. It made me sympathize that much more with both with him and Brit. At the same time, I also enjoyed watching Juliet fall for Emerson. As you might know, this isn't Juliet and Emerson HEA quite yet. Even so, I loved the ending, especially that last line! My only complaint is that, after reading Unbroken, I wished we would have gotten more scenes from Juliet and Emerson's summer; but maybe that's just me asking too much ;) Point it is, I'm really enjoying Melody Grace's series.

Stand alone not!!. While I love the storyline of this the cliffhanger is wrong. This book can not be read as a standalone. Miss advertising and very frustrating!!! Don’t bother unless you plan on buying the other books to this series.

Great start to this story.. I can't get enough of Melody Grace. This short novella introducing Juliet and Emerson consumed me. Looking forward to reading their story.

Beachwood bay #1. This is pulled me in and left me begging for more. What a amazing way to start a series. This town is where I wanna go. It sounds beautiful. I can't say more about this book than... Just read it, no regrets. You will love it.

Untouched. There were several aspects of the book that I liked. The story could be really great- broken families, first love, but there’s such a focus on the sex versus the story at times. I’m also not much of one for cliff hangers either.

No. It would have been good if it was longer. It had like two parts in it when they were together!!! It jumped from one day two the end of summer in 2.5 seconds!! No thank you😒

Untouched. I started reading this book because I like romance stories but there are too many curse words for me to enjoy, so this one gets thrown back in.
