Silent scream. Read this book and found out that I was reading all of the series hated that it was the first book, somehow I skipped it my fault haha shame on me.

Finished but it was a chore. Way too long for a boring book. Struggled to finish it.

Loved it!. Such a good read. I loved all the characters and the suspense was def there all the way til the end. This is the first of the series and I’ve already bought the next one!

Silent Scream. This is one of the best mysteries I have read for a while. It gets you very early in the book and you can't put it down. Love the main character I was really caught by surprise in the end. Highly recommended! Already purchased the next one .

Brilliant from the first page right through to the last!!!!. This book has to be one of the best books I’ve read in a long time! And I read a lot of books. It is so well written it genuinely is one of those books you can’t put down. I read until my eyes were so heavy i had to sleep but the second I woke I picked it up again. Amazing and I can’t wait to read the next 11!

Silent scream, great read!. First time reading Angela Marsons, loved the characters, pace and twists. I've just bought book 2 Kim Stones next case Evil Games. Won't start it until tomorrow as with this one I probably won't be able to put it down once I start it reading it.

Silent scream. What a brilliant book I was hooked straight away and a bit like midsummer murders I never got the murderer, yet when it got too the part where she's in the home and he was there I thought yes I can see that now. So can't wait to read another of your books.

Hard to put down. Thought the book well written and kept you on your toes as to what would happen next. Seems to have been well researched and would recommend it when you have time to sit and read it on a regular basis otherwise you’ll be frustrated at not being able to pick it up.

Awesome!. This book was a brilliant read. It was exciting the whole way through, with loads of twists and turns. At the revealing parts I was gripped with my jaw dropped as the story unfolded. I couldn't put it down!

Amazing a little slow in first chapter but you carnt expect it all go from the start really enjoyed it even up until the last but one page it still kept going , a unusual twist on abuse and children's home and unravelling the details don't want let to much out but very good I'm ready for book 2 now

Enjoyable novel of its type. I enjoyed reading this, although at the end the plot got a bit complicated. Not sure why the main characters in this type of book always have to be renegades or damaged goods! Are there any decent coppers out there?

Great tead. Love all the characters of the team and how they all interact. Kim is really interesting and I love the banter between her and Bryant. Have read first 3 and just bought the 4th in the series. All the stories so far have been really strong with baddies that really get under your skin. Can’t wait to start the latest and will definitely get the redt

Fab read!!. Gripping from start to finish, had me guessing to the end. Great twists and turns, and characters. So hooked on this had to read the next book immediately after, which was equally as good I must add.

Addictive read. I was hooked from chapter one which instantly raised the question who are the five and what did they do? Next question that came up who is Mikey? I could go on - there are so many questions raised in the first half of the book and they are all answered thankfully by the end. It's a roller coaster ride from start to end and I'm relieved to know there is more to come for Kim Stone. Angela Marsons is an excellent writer and I'll be hunting out more of her books in the future.

Silent Scream. Great story, fast pace, lots of twists and very engaging. Frequent use of Americanisms spoilt the Black Country setting for me though (elevator, headed, facility, detective).

Confused. Can someone please explain this to me.. Ive just finished reading the book, but theres somethings that i don’t quite understand. Firstly, if Beth died years ago, who was the woman that turned up to see Kim stone and blackmailed her to leave them alone? There was clearly a difference of appearance mentioned- Beth has more harsher, slimmer facial features as opposed to Nicholas. And what exactly has the cardigan to do with the whole fire and everything?

Totally gripping. I have been trying to get back into reading for years, with no luck. Picked this book up yesterday at a communal library and couldn’t put it down! Excited to read the rest

Great read, interesting characters. Enjoyed reading this very much and found it a real 'page turner'. Has all the elements of a good crime novel: interesting characters, multiple suspects, likeable and dislikable personae and a flawed hero. Well worth a read.

Silent scream. I enjoyed this book and didn't want to put it down. I liked the main character and her relationships with the other characters.

Silent Scream. A brilliant first book - can't wait for the next one! I particularly enjoyed the settings and reading local place names! Kim's character was deep and thought provoking and one I would like to follow in more crime solving stories. The plot was well layered and the police action believable. A thoroughly exciting, enjoyable and hard to put down, read !

A decent series opener with some failings. Having read a fair bit of crime fiction lately (including series by Alison Bruce, Helen Fields and Gytha Lodge) this definitely felt like a first book. I’m interested enough to get the second in the series and see how things develop, but with some reservations. The main characters are engaging and believable, but I was almost put off by the writing style: in places it seemed a little forced and formulaic, and there were some sentence constructions and descriptions that jarred. I felt that some things should have been picked up on and corrected at the proof stage, and the main reveal made me go back and read a key passage because it didn’t quite ring true.

Silent Scream. I loved this book, very readable and very clever keeping my interest throughout. Unfortunately I did not like the continued use of Jesus Christ as swear words and would have preferred the book without this blasphemy. Interestingly non of the other swearing bothered me as the characters fitted the language. Some excellent descriptive phrases and verbal banter.

Silent Scream. Wow what a great read! Writer’s imagination and research made this so believable and I couldn’t wait to wake up early in the morning’s and read for an hour or two in bed. I would always say to my husband, “what a great story is this, her writing is very interesting, believable, and with great description of all the characters.” What a great mind does this author possess! Thanks heaps for a very, satisfying plus stimulating read........SF

Silent Scream. I stayed up until 1.45 a.m. to finish this book. I then immediately purchased the next three novels in the Kim Stone set. Gripping and full of suspense, a thoroughly enjoyable read. Thank you Angela Marsons.

Play dead. As with the other Kim Stone detective series, this one is just as good. Great reads.

Top notch story!. Silent Scream - Angela Marsons There’s this home for wayward girls. While some return after escaping others don’t. There’s this Detective, she’s a graduate of a similar place, and she wants to find who’s killed who. And then the suspects start dying! It’s a long story, and there will be places where you’ll think it’s about to come to a close, read a bit more and another phase kicks in. The main character, Kim Stone, is a bit quirky, a bit like Columbo (if your old enough to remember) tends to not play well with others. I’ve read the story as quickly as I could, so I guess better than excellent 5/5 Start 13/12/2018 Finished 15/12/2018

Great first Novel. I love when I find a first in a series where I immediately am intrigued by the central character. As the professional and private layers of Kim Stone are revealed you really begin to bond with her. A well written story with great supporting characters. Looking forward to the next instalment

Pretty good. A bit slow to start. Had a bit of trouble getting the feel for the characters but got much better. It was slow moving
