L'Art de la guerre (en chinois : Stratégie militaire de maître Sun) est le premier traité de stratégie militaire écrit au monde. Son auteur, Sun Tzu, y développe des thèses originales qui s'inspirent de la philosophie chinoise ancienne.
L'ouvrage est fondé sur le principe suivant : gagner ou perdre une guerre ne se fait pas par hasard, c'est une question de méthode et de stratégie. De bons principes conduisent à la victoire, il est donc important de les étudier. Ces principes stratégiques sont appliqués au domaine militaire, mais peuvent l'être aussi à celui des affaires, de la politique ou de la société. Cet ouvrage ancien apparaît ainsi étonnamment moderne et il est d'ailleurs toujours étudié dans les écoles militaires et les écoles de commerce d’orient et d’occident.
