A great read. Engaging characters, a vividly drawn world and a story that flowed so well I finished it the day I started it. Thoroughly looking forward to Book 2.

Loved the story!. I enjoyed this book! I found it hard to put down, completing it in about a day and a half. I particularly like the pacing and the way the story of the journey of the heroine unfolded and came together with the hero....kind of like magic! I particularly enjoyed the love story! This book was well written and I would recommend it to any one who loves healers, magic, and strong women!

Exciting!. Dana is a wonderful world builder. Her skill and creativity at language, culture, history and tradition completely draw the reader into her story, making it difficult to put this book down. The main character, Tera, is extremely relatable as are the other supporting characters. The magic is subtle, more spiritual than anything, which creates more realism. Her colorful writing makes you feel as if you're there as part of the action.

Great Read. I love the world created in this book. This is definitely the kind of series that makes you excited for the next book.

Reluctant Concubine was surprising!. Oh my!! Reluctant Concubine surprised me! I have not read a story quite like it before. Often, you see “similar troupes and themes” but this one was very different! There was enough heat and romance and enough action to be enjoyed by most! But with the steamy came some reserve, which I was glad for. Sometimes reading “too much detail” in the bedroom, is simply too much! Dana Martin, have JUST ENOUGH!

Gripping stuff. I devoured this in a night. Tera battles through slavery and prejudice to find herself, and love. Definitely not a bodice ripper, but a rip-roaring read.

I couldn’t put it down!. I read this book in one day as I found the character of Tera fascinating. Little by little you discover more about her harsh world, the people around her and how she grows to discover her destiny. I will definitely be reading the whole series!

Loved it. I was enthralled with this story and found it hard to stop reading. Tera’s life goes through so many shocking changes that lead her to her destiny.
