Excellent story. The character development is well done with new and interesting added along as they needed. The story moves at an excellent pace keeping the reader involved and not loose interest. The rules of the universe are easy to understand and the author keeps explanations simple and uncluttered. Great reading is in store for those who like fantasy magic and demons.

Great story, however. Great story, however, the writing is not as smooth flowing as other authors. There are times when I'm left confused on who is speaking and who is doing the action. Great story and worth paying $3 for it. I'm excited to see where this author goes in the future when he becomes more experienced.

Love it. I started and finished (to a certain extent) this book on wattpad, and the consistency of this story continues through publishing. Definitely a good read 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome book, great for teens and young adults. If you're into wizards and a bit of mystery then this book is great. Sure there are some problems, such as the lack of presence that you feel of some of the characters after the beginning introduction. As for the high lights. Fletcher is awesome. You actually feel like he is human, not some sort of half emotional, half fearless superhero. He has his faults and his fortes but they're balanced. The other characters that play active rolls are well described with reasonable background information. You also get a feel for how both the good and bad guys physically look. They are given what would be acceptable proportions for the setting. The cons, but are they really? I would have liked for more information on the teachers, but it since there is a prequel, they will probably be described in more detail there. Some more people in power being described would have been a nice touch. Other than in the beginning you learn nothing more about Ignatius. Overall it was awesome. 10/10 I will read the next book. I hope for a bit more romance in the second one but over keep it up Taran Matharu

Amazing. Loved it reading it for the 6th time the whole series

Too predictable. Nothing new or exciting. Hoped it would get better as I continued reading, but it did not happen. Unfortunate because it had potential to be something great.

Wonderful. I am very picky when it comes to new book series. That is why I am happy to say this book definitely checked all the marks. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Going for round 2. First book builds nicely and enjoying the evolving mythology of the plot. A bit fuzzy on the backstory of elves and dwarves ... particularly in light of the other powerful story franchises that have somewhat given me predetermined expectations for these groups but let's see. On to Book 2.

Chapter issues. Just trying to figure out why it shows more chapters in book one but says I finished after chapter 4

Amazing. The beginning of the story was enthralling! I love how descriptive the author is in the actions of the main character and the consequences that come with it. The ending chapter was an absolute cliffhanger and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time!

If you are a fan of one of these, read now. Even if you have no idea of what these things are, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Amazing. "The Novice" is well written and the plot is fantastic. It has a GREAT PACE, with well rounded ideas and clarity. The main character is actually surprisingly more relatable and realistic than most other books like this. It is is also well balanced, with the right amount of mystery and revelations along with the magic system. I read it in a matter of hours. Now everyone read this riveting book NOW:)

Great series.. I honestly loved the whole series. I picked the first one for a random airport book and was pleasantly surprised how great it was. Bought the whole series in hard cover and digital. Including the prequel. If the other reads this I hope he would consider writing a 4th book of fletcher and his demon exploring the ether, helping other catch more demons or even just him doing research there.
