Great love story!. From the very beginning you root for Charlotte. You want her to to succeed in finding her happiness even though it looks as if it won't ever happen. Must read historical romance!!

Really loved this book. Could not put this book aside. Suspense, mystery, romance. Loved the characters, especially Charlotte. Well written. Love this author

Exciting!. This book takes you up and down the emotional roller coaster, at one point things are going great and then nothing can go right. I enjoyed the book and everywhere it took me.

Loved it!. Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. Would Love to read Reilly's story, I think it would be awesome!

Hated it!!!. I wanted to like this book, I really did. I just couldn't. I love strong female characters who aren't afraid to push boundaries. Although Charlotte seemed to be that way, her actions said otherwise. According to her, women weren't taken seriously and that had to stop. An author who wasn't afraid to speak her mind and had potential to become one heck of a business women and was tired of the whole ton mentality. When forced to marry she buckled. All of a sudden she became this docile wimp. She turned into this weak character. I couldn't believe it was the same person. Although towards the end she had a legitimate reason, the damage was already done. Ugh her parents were awful. At first I admired her father, but that didn't last. He was weak. He knew Charlotte didn't want to marry James, he knew James was a jerk, but he still wanted his daughter to marry him. Her mother was horrendous!!! I kept thinking if my mom ever did something like that to me, our relationship would cease to exist!!! I wouldn't bat an eyelash. The sad part is that her parents never said they were sorry. They were so involved in their twisted little world, that they were ready to hand over their daughter to a killer, sexual psychopath and a drunk. I felt so bad for Charlotte (especially angry) her misery made me miserable, but neither parent cared. I'm not even going to continue. I loved the male character, but that's about it. If you want to waste a couple days on a book that's going to put you in a really bad mood, then I suggest you read this one.

A different take. This is an easy and enjoyable read although the language used is rather different to the normal for this genre... I'm not sure it works that well.. But I'll give this author another go.

Highwayman Love. Y. Highwayman Love 6.5/10 Free iBook. Some good parts in this book, even though some parts were less great. Characters are 2 dimensional but still the book has some delightful bits, such as the love between Kenley and his aged butler. The author has promise, and I hope she keeps developing and improving. Lady Charlotte writes her intelligent blue stocking views for the paper. Odious James, heir to an earldom, intends to marry her, but she has an instant attraction to Lord Kenley, an impoverished Earl with a troubled past, who actually listens to her views and discusses things as if she is an equal. When James tries to announce their engagement (without asking her) Kenley steps forward and says they are already engaged. Kenley is in fact his half brother, and he and his cousin and her brother were highwaymen, but James tried to murder his own father...

Excellent light reading. A good relaxing light read kept me intertwined whilst on holiday.
