Just OK. Much prefer her Decker series. This book was ok, but not nearly as good as her earlier works. Sometime far too wordy and descriptive, the story bogged down in places. The teenagers didn’t ring true in many places. Will wait for another Decker book.

Off the charts good. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a real page turner I couldn’t put down. This is absolutely one of those! Well written. Unpredictable.

awful...wish i could get money back. first and last Kellerman book...made it to page 100...I have a 100 page rule where I giv any book 100 pages to grab me...this one didnt come close.

Killing Season. Different for Kellerman, but interesting and hopeful even with serial killer plot.

Teenage Romance or Murder Mystery. Not up to Kellerman standards. What starts as a murder mystery devolves into an unrealistic teen romance. Girl gets boy, girl gets other boy, girl loses other boy and makes sacrifices to get other boy back and then. I won’t ruin it for you. Along the way the murder mystery is solved by the “other” boy and the girl. Afterwards they .... Whatever. The actions, motivations and reactions by the principals are unrealistic. As a result the arc of both stories fall flat.

Killing Season. As an avid reader of the entire Kellerman family, it is difficult to differentiate between the numerous books they have produced. They are all exceptional and excellent. Faye has "strayed" this time from her usual background of the Decker couple and instead given us a teenager with a brilliant mind, a lone wolf, a partly Native American background who tracks down a serial killer, whose victims include the teen's sister, beautifully set in NM. Killing Season. This book was quite a disappointment and not at all what I would expect from this author given the excellent Decker/Lazarus series. Writing is quite stilted, characters not developed and interactions between the teens in particular are very unrealistic. It seems all the focus was on how beautiful the main character (female) is, and on peppering lots of swearing and crude sexual characterizations. It was a struggle to finish and not worth the time. I will not automatically buy from this author again without checking reviews in advance.
