Nicely balanced mystery/romance. While I agree with some reviewers that it is not the most riveting page-turner, it is a good read that nicely balances mystery with romance. I like the unique aspect of the storm chaser and the fact that you cannot guess “who done it” until the very end.

Beautiful Storm was not all that beautiful. The story was good, but not great. It dragged in places and a little editing would have helped. I may read more books by this author, but he is not my favorite.

Beautiful Storm. I thought I only liked books with a great amount of romance. Barbara Freethy’s books are so well written that I find her to be a very enjoyable author to read. Her characters are believable and well developed. The romance is plenty enough and fun to follow. It kept my interest. It entertained me from the beginning to the end. A talented writer I think.

Beautiful Storm. I have read 2 of this series, out of order, and it didn’t take away from the enjoyment I had of the stories and mysteries. Barbara is an excellent writer of romantic mystery, and I have enjoyed many of her books. They are well thought out and keep me glued to the story.

Interesting story. This is the first in a suspense trilogy. It is an exciting story about a photographer, Alicia Monroe, who loves to take pictures of lightening strikes. One night during a lightening storm she sees a woman fighting off a man in the park. Suddenly the lightening strike caused a tree limb to fall knocking her out. When she awakes, she finds the dog tags for a woman missing for two months by the police. Also looking for the woman is family friend, Michael Cordera. Alicia and Michael try to track down the missing woman together as the killer tries to stop them. Another can’t put down story by Ms. Freethy.

Awesome. Awesome book can’t wait to read the others

Excellent. Take the time to read this novel. It starts out with a chance encounter with darkness in a storm with lightening and continues to move at a fast pace to the conclusion. On to the next! Excellent.

Beautiful storm. A unusual romance, mystery and suspense story based on characters coming together because of a storm chaser. Won’t want to put it down till the murder is caught.

Finally a mixed genre book!. This book is great! I was sick of reading only romance or only crime/mystery and this book is the perfect combination of both! I like how it drew me into the mystery and then a guy comes along and the romance picks up. Very sweet relationship and good mystery throughout the whole book. Kept me on my toes and watching over my back for sure.
