From the USA TODAY bestselling Southern Ghost Hunter series

Her ghostly sidekick Frankie warns her to stay out of it. The very alive, very handsome deputy sheriff, Ellis Wydell, inadvertently places her directly in the middle of it. And her ex-fiancé, Ellis’s brother, is back with an agenda of his own.

Undaunted, Verity presses forward, uncovering scandalous secrets, long-forgotten ghosts, and a shocking trail of clues that places her directly in the path of a killer.

Skeletons, ghosts and murder oh my!. This is the second book in the series and it just keeps getting better. Verity is trying to stay out of trouble but it seems to follow her everywhere she goes. This time, she discovers some ghosts, a dead body and a skeleton all in the same place. Along with her ghostly sidekick, Frankie, she delves into the mysteries surrounding her. Ellis is back and while they are keeping their romance on the down low, he's none too pleased his brother is back and wanting Verity as well. Enjoy a few hours laughing and solving the mystery along with Verity! I did receive a free ARC in exchange for an honest review

Good but not great. A little too fast face for my liking.

The Ghost in the Closet. This the second book in the series was as good as the first and the first was awesome!

A skeleton in the closet. The story continues just as entertaining as the first book. I really get a kick out of the characters.

Enjoyable mystery. I was given this book as an ARC to read for an honest review. I was tired, my head hurt and I needed a reason to smile. Angie gave it to me with her latest edition to the Southern Ghost Hunter series. As if Verity didn’t have enough problems having had to sell everything but her home and car due to her ex-almost mother-in-law suing her for all of the wedding expenses now the ex-fiancée wants back in her good graces. He doesn’t know she has already moved on….with his brother. To make matters more complicated Verity and Melody stumble upon another murder. As Ellis states Verity doesn’t just attract trouble she has it on speed dial. When Ellis has no clues to figure out who committed the murder Verity makes use of her ghostly friend to find out what the other world knows. Danger comes from all realms and it looks like Verity’s nemesis could be the perpetrator. Fortunately Verity and Ellis figure things out, with Melody and Frankie’s help. The Skeleton in the Closet was a fun read and a great addition to the Southern Ghost Hunter series.

Verity's in trouble again!. **I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.** -------------------------------- Verity can't seem to catch a break. Verity's ex-fiance seems to think he can win her back - despite her having left him at the alter for a VERY food reason. Her new boyfriend (her ex-fiance's brother) is putting his job on the line to assist with her ghostly investigations. Lucy, her pet skunk, seems to be feeling a bit neglected. And, Frankie, her ghostly guide, is becoming more petulant about his having been accidentally grounded in her rosebush. No matter how strongly she tries to avoid ghosts they seem to keep dragging her into their world - this time to catch a killer. This is a fun read with a surprise ending - the murderer isn't an obvious choice.

Ghost in the closet. Loved it, funny and addictive!

Must read. Is is a fantastic series. Great mystery, romance, with a touch of Frankie. Love it!!!

More Fun Back With Verity!. A little southern charm complete with feuding families, an annual town festival, ghosts, long kept town secrets, and a budding romance combine in this book to make another hit cozy by Angie Fox! I think I enjoyed this installment more than I did the first in this series. The characters are what make this book. Verity is a cute, fun and competent investigator even though she just wants to be a great Graphic Designer. Ellis a good cop who is hard pressed not to like Verity even though he shouldn't. Frankie is a down on your luck ghost who really just wants to be ungrounded. We also have Jilted Josephine back along with tons of other great civil war era ghosts. Synopsis: Were back in Sugarland Tennessee just in time for the Annual Cannonball in the Wall Festival. This is a town festival to celebrate the local militia's win over the Yankees during the civil war that ended with a cannonball in a wall of the town library! The majority of the festival events are sponsored by Verity's now arch nemesis Virginia Wydell mother of Beau Wydell verity's slimy ex. A long running family Fued between the Wydell's and the Jackson's has been taken to new heights as both families fight to have the most stuff in the historical exhibit taking place at the library during the festival. When the head volunteer of the historical society Darla turns up dead Ellis Wydell, Beau's hot cop brother enlists the help of Verity and her ghost Frankie to help find the murder. Favorite Quote: Verity speaking to her sister about Ellis Wydell "But he's like kettle corn. You can't have just one little taste." Yes Verity he totally is, I'd read about Ellis all day! I'd recommend this read to anyone who has previously enjoyed Mrs. Fox's past work, anyone who enjoys a great cozy every now and then, and people who enjoy the supernatural. *I received this book from the Author in return for my honest review. I received no other money, or goodie bag. I just the book so that I could form an opinion. That in no way changes my opinions of this book.*

Great quick read by a great author!. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. If you haven't read an Angie Fox book yet, you are missing out. She is an amazing author that I keep coming back to again and again when I need a laugh. I loved the first book, as well as the novella in between, in this series. This is a great murder mystery with some romance, as well as a bit of well deserved karma thrown in. I can't wait to see how the rest of the series plays out! Great, quick read! Highly recommended!

The skeleton in the closet. Excellent read. Robust plot wine. Enjoyed the interactions.

Mysterious, Spooky, Funny , Totally Enjoyable. . This book was so much fun to read. The author, Angie a Fox, creates characters that are so vivid and well developed that for parts of this novel I was on the edge of my seat. I didn't want to put it down. GREAT READ. The mystery and ghosts were so good. I didn't figure it out in advance. I had no idea how this was going to end. The sexual tension between the main character Verity and our gorgeous sheriff deputy Ellis is fun too. Wondering where the relationship might go is great. Be sure you grab your own copy.

Engaging addition to the series. A great addition the the series. I like each book more than the one before. The characters are humorous and engaging and the end always leaves me wanting to read more. I can't wait to see what will happen to Verity next. This book continues with ghost story mysteries that have to be solved and new ghosts to add to the list of characters, with a little romance mixed in.

The Ghost Hunter Mysteries keep getting better!. This series keeps getting better and better! Fox's clever writing brings her unlikely heroine, Verity Long, center stage once again. Her hometown's annual self-congratulatory celebration of their contributions to the South's cause in the War Between the States becomes the backdrop for another neighbor's untimely demise. The only "witnesses" to the crime? Ghosts that have remained at the murder scene since that tragic war. With her recently discovered talent, allowing her to see and communicate with the dead, via a reluctant gangster who hasn't walked the earth alive since the 1920s, Verity calls on some old acquaintances, and some new ones, to help her reveal the all too alive and breathing culprit. It was great to see the return of her almost ex-brother-in-law Ellis, her sister Melody, the tragically abandoned at the altar, Josephine, crusty Frankie, who is more concerned about un-grounding himself from Verity's property than he is in solving a murder, and of course, precious Lucy, Verity's pet skunk. As much as enjoy each story, as a whole, my very favorite thing about this series is that Verity rights the wrongs for the dead at the very end of the books. This small detail would make me love them, if I didn't already. Another well written, nail biting, clever book, complete with Fox's perfect blend of mystery, brewing romance, history, nicely crafted plot, fascinating characters and poignant ending!
