Excellent story line!. I've never read a book with this type of story line where people wake up in an unknown place and don't remember their past and aren't sure of themselves except that they just seem different-and they are! They meet others like themselves but some are good and others are trying to kill them. With a sweet love story thrown in I thought this was a very good book. Can't wait to read the next one!

Page turner. This is the first book I have read in over a year where I read it anytime besides before going to bed. In fact, I finished it in just a couple of days versus my normal time of a month or more. Really enjoyed not having any idea where the story was going.

Reality Show to the Max!. Take a beautiful island, add contestants trained and mind-wiped to give them a fighting chance to survive, add immunity from prosecution and see who survives for a year or escapes the island! Those are the only ways off. That would already offer tons of possibilities, but add a contestant hiding from a husband so deadly and perverted than the game offers less to fear. If her husband finds her, she'll pay for leaving him.

Very good book. This book was one of the best I've read in a while. It was so fast paced, I just didn't want to put it down. Loved the main characters. Good story line. I definitely recommend it.

Fantastic. Different premise from any mystery I have ever read. Intriguing, heart-pounding adventure. No foul language and one teeny sex scene. Part of a trilogy but stands alone which I like.

A rare and exceedingly well written book. I read a LOT of books but this one is superb! So many books rely on repetitive graphic violence and non-endings but this book instead has development, plot, characters and meaningful words! I’ve already purchased two additional works. That is something that,sadly, I rarely do. His blog is wonderful, something else I rarely follow up on. It has some very meaningful insights. Get this book. Discover this author. Something else I rarely do is write reviews. With this book and author I felt it important to do.

A Fantastic Debut!. I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. WOW! This is an exciting roller coaster ride of an adventure! I loved it! Abby is a fantastic character. She is very bright, very strong and deadly! However, she also cannot remember certain details - like where she is, or how she got there. But she is one heck of a fighter! Eric is also in the same boat, so to speak. He too cannot remember how he ended up floating in the ocean. I loved his character. He seems to be very cool under pressure. As I started reading this novel, I thought "Oh, no! Not another Hunger Games wanna be!". However, this book may have some similarities, but the storyline is completely unique! Told from mostly Abby's and Eric's points of view, the story is attention grabbing! But, other characters have their say too, which gives this a movie like feel! This is a mix of "Extreme Survivor", "Big Brother" and a compelling romance! This book is full of action, adventure and danger that had me completely hooked! The characters are extremely lifelike. I didn't like a few of the other characters, because they are extremely "bad" and terrifyingly dangerous - especially Tom and Bryce! They made me shudder with disgust and revulsion! There are some twists in this tale that completely surprised me - Abby's history for one is an unpleasant revelation, but I can understand why she did what she could to escape from it. The romance between Abby and Eric is extremely sweet! The cliffhanger of an ending sent a shudder up my spine, and now I'm looking forward to reading the next book as soon as possible! David Antocci has written an exciting debut novel. This author is one to watch! His writing style is fast paced and extremely fluid. I think I will have to add him to my favourite authors list! I highly recommend this book if you love thrillers, suspense and/or dystopian fiction or are fans of The Hunger Games Trilogy. - Lynn Worton

Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant. What a great book, something a bit different and a great page turner. I couldn't help myself and ended up reading the whole book in one long night! Entertaining but amateurish. This is a book that you will not want to put down until you are done. The plot is refreshingly new till the end when Abby, the main character, found safety and solace in an island but the villain inadvertently found her. This will obviously lead up to several sequels which would make the whole work contrived and redundant. Also, a better editor might help as there are several typos and part of the book does not make sense. I don't want to ruin the suspense but this happened in the latter part of the book and had to do with turning off the suction inside a cave.
